A nice, modern hotel. Well-lit and clean for the most part. Rooms are pretty small, but overall price is affordable. Our room had some sections of carpet that hadn't gotten cleaned - looked like trail mix had spilled from a prior guest and never gotten cleaned up. Shower head is kind of funky - it's a rain shower style so the water comes down from above and then you have the option to use a tiny/skinny shower head for washing your body etc if desired. Overall a good stay. Breakfast was okay, bagels and cream cheese, floppy French toast sticks and syrup, sausage patties, scrambled liquid eggs, breakfast potatoes and coffee and orange juice. Okay for a hotel breakfast but wished it would change up every-other day or something so it wouldn't be the same thing. read more

If you like to party, you'll love the place, but if you want to rest- not a good experience. There were slamming doors and noise most of the night with a lot of road noise. The hall and elevator smelled like marijuana. There was no covered area to unload, and entry and exit was not user friendly. it was storming when we got in, everything got wet, and it was very unpleasant. Staff was nice, but rooms are very small, and it seems to be more designed for spending time in the lobby drinking or playing games than it was for resting. TV remote did not work. We had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready causing us to miss the paid event ($200) we came into town for. Additionally the balcony door ( the higher priced room) whistled with no relief. Their compensation offer was for $20 in their cafe. Doesn't even touch the disappointment. We will not be staying at this location again. read more

I stayed one night for an early morning MSU tour. Up front, I booked through Priceline, but when I tried to check in, they didn't have my prepaid reservation. While they did honor the online rate, it was a frustrating start to the stay having to pay twice for the room initially. Vīb = vintage boutique. The hotel definitely leans into a retro vibe--walking into the lobby, it feels like a throwback cafeteria with metal chairs throughout. There are plenty of TVs in the lobby, but they're mounted high, so you have to crane your neck to see what's playing. That said, the space is well-maintained and very clean. The room is clearly designed with one goal in mind: sleep. It's tight and cramped. I had a room with two queen beds, and I wouldn't recommend it if wanting extra space to relax. If you're sharing the room, be aware that bathroom counter space is minimal--definitely function over form. However, both the bathroom and the room were clean. read more

When you hear the name best western you think of a little small hotel room but as we got there, the whole lobby was giant and big with a great atmosphere and live music from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at night when we got to our room the room was very spacious and kind of weird as well. You can actually stand in the shower and look into the bedroom, which was kind of funny, but kind of cool as well. Very quiet room. I stay at a lot of hotels travelling for pleasure and this is the first time I have entered a room and said out loud..."Cool Room". Check-in was quick and easy, Natosha was a pleasure to talk to about the property. Room is very comfortable, nicely appointed, bright, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Granted this is a boutique kind of room and they used every inch of space to create a room for sleeping and little otherwise. I've stayed in much smaller rooms and this one was about right for a place to sleep and use your laptop. If I needed a place to spread things out and work for a few days the setup would not be optimal. The only negative for me and I discussed this with Natosha when I checked out was the rain shower. Because the shower stall is small, women might have issues with shaving or not wanting to get their hair wet...almost impossible to avoid the "rain" unless you shut the shower off. Otherwise I like the concept and am looking forward to BW having more properties like this throughout the US. read more

Was definitely surprised with my stay here. Traveling for business and practically every other hotel in Springfield was booked. This one had availability so I figured I would give it a try! I had never heard of Vib by Best Western before - I am glad I've now had the experience. The hotel is essentially brand new. It is extremely modern, inside and out!! The lobby and restaurant area is beautiful and a fun lay out. They have a tablet work station in the lobby to assist with travel checkin and business they also have a couple of TVs and gaming console stations for your use. A fire place and lounge area is right next to the bar! The fitness center wasn't too big but it still had the majority of the necessities. Rooms are very nice, again, modern. Cool lighting! The beds were comfy with ample room. Shower had the rainfall head which is a nice touch! Staff was friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend checking out this new hotel. Cool place. Music on Friday night. Restaurant is catered to healthy people and great bar. Place is new and clean. Love the water refill to recycle plastic Water station is a nice touch. Gaming stations, business center is very accommodating! Bed comfy and very clean. The bad. Short staffed so In one week only got room serviced once. Asked 2 times and didn't get it serviced. Shower/bathroom has no vent, so room always feels humid and wet. One elevator only worked the whole week. Always waiting a long time for elevators. Rooms wall were paper thin. I could hear my neighbors flush and all. Fire trucks and motorcycles passing every night (even though they provided ear plugs), so ended up very restless. read more

There's a curtain that only covers one side of the window, but there's still one side that's completely bare. It's just weird. I would have given 5 stars but their breakfast consists of your choice of two different breakfast sandwiches that are $2.00 each and you cook in the microwave. The other reason was the TV has very limited stations and they don't get CBS. Was disappointed in that as we were looking forward to our favorite show that night. The room was small but cozy. We stayed here one night on a Friday in June and had a great experience. I wouldn't normally choose a Best Western, but it was new and looked nice. I appreciate wood floors in a hotel room. Sharing carpet with other feet is.....gross. The staff was great, especially when we learned we were next to a young boys baseball team. She kindly, and immediately moved us to another floor without loud boys. The only strange thing, which you can see in one of the Yelp photos is the shower. It's my only reason for 4 stars. Technically, it is private. Yet, it's awkward. My husband and 13 year old daughter used the shower and had to be careful not to walk by to see in it. The shower is TINY and there is very little water pressure, which is my reason for 4 stars. Otherwise, we'd stay again. read more

Rooms are much smaller than a normal hotel room but for a higher cost because of edgy millennial branding. The wifi was hardy functional, also I had my streaming box with me, but every app is blocked through their firewall in order to force you to pay for overpriced television and movies (lol). On top of that we were charged an extra $250 for smoking which never happened. Apparently this edgy millennial hotel will charge you $250 if your gas smells too good, we didn't even smoke in the building at all only our car. So thank you for acknowledging I have some fire flower but f yall. If I could post zero stars I would. Charged 5 times for a one night stay for business. Not pre authorizations, but charges. I used my business credit card online for one night stay-for work purposes . It was pre authorized, and once at the hotel my credit card was charged three times after being told to swipe twice for incidentals. Come to find out my debit card on file for personal use was charge twice. So there was a total of 5 charges for a one night stay. Almost two weeks later and my credit card has taken care of the charges on their end. But the charges to my debit card which was not used or swiped (just on file) are still there. Tried to contact the manager but for the last two weeks "his back has been throw out". I contacted Best Western directly and they tell me that they don't have access and the property is liable. The so called manager won't return my calls and every time I have tried to contact him during business hours "his back is thrown out". Worst customer service ever, do not recommend, and now contacting local authorities. read more

Stayed here because our AC at home was on the fritz. The shower was obviously not cleaned as there was a used wet wash towel in the shower from a previous guest as well as a lid to a shampoo and visible soap scum. Wondering what else wasn't cleaned. read more

I'm not terribly picky as long as everything is clean. This place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I've seen people complain about the room size, but I don't think it's so small it's a game breaker. We weren't there for a dance party so room size wasn't an issue. We had a corner room which was nice. The AC/heater had some noise, but We didn't mind because we usually sleep with a fan anyways. It wasn't so loud it was distracting, but did make some noise. The food at the restaurant was pretty darn good, but was only open from 5pm-9pm. We just wished the bar would have stayed open later than 9pm. Only major complaint of if it's that major is our phone didn't work so when we needed sheets and blankets for the pull out couch, we had to go down to ask for some. Not a huge deal to us, but it could be for some. We have stayed here a few times and it's been a good stay each time. I would say the price might be a little on the high side for just having basic services such as no pool or breakfast. Well, if you count the Oranges and granola bars they had laid out for breakfast I'd still say the price is a little high. read more

This newly innovative hotel appears to be great . The amenities are on point for a best western however they need to do better with servicing guest . I was able to try this hotel for 8 nights while I'm town and to say the least I wish I hadn't . Before check in I asked for reservation for a balcony suit , they where all booked for the week and was told I would be able to move by the weekend , ( I checked in on a Tuesday ) that never happened. No one never notified me even after double checking to make sure they had me on reserve. My boyfriend and I came from hurricane Ida and wanted to get some rest and work done well that didn't go smoothly either . Over the weekend instead they placed a noise family above us and they made noise all day and night . If it wasn't them it was other neighbors forgetting to turn their alarms off during the morning . The walls are so thin I literally heard an alarm clock for over in hour in the earliest hours in the morning .. So yeah again nice amenities for a best western but i won't be booking here again especially not for business or long stays . Forgot to mention one elevator was in operable for half our stay . Another shot in the foot a bit some guest didn't believe in keeping their 6 feet distant and was unmasked . read more

I cannot believe that this amazing restaurant is in the coolest Best Western Hotel! We had some of the best Thai food. Incredible really. We started with Lavender Cosmos and Mango Chile Margaritas. Both really hit the spot after a long days drive. We had the winner Drunken Noodles and Pineapple Fried Rice. I highly recommend the steak. The hot sauce is really hot! I am from Texas and a little goes a long way. Be very careful with this delicious sauce. The vibe is way cool and the service is exceptional. The rooms are small but very cool. From reading other reviews I guess this is a Millenial generation concept. Which should explain a lot! Where is the place? Really needs better signage, especially if coming westbound from highway 60. Walked in the room. "Where's the rest of it?" I've been in much bigger rooms at Super 8. Took awhile to figure out the TV. Any time you shut it off and later go turn it on you have to go thru all the rigamaro again. The 2 lights on the dresser and the 2 on the bed post didn't work. WIFI didn't work all that great. The shower was barely big enough to fit in. Which sucked because no tub to lay in and luxuriate In. And what was the deal with the overhead shower? Oh and what was the deal with the noise coming from the toilet all night? I mean come on man! Very thin walls. Hearing the traffic from the road outside was bad enough. But then there were the orgasmic noises from at least 2 DOORS down. No they weren't from the room right next door as I doubt those really young girls (no not teenagers) were partaking in that activity. Speaking of which I was pleasantly surprised how very quiet they were. Not a peep to be heard from them. So can someone please justify 160 bucks for this crap? I found this motel online and reserved a room because it said it was new. I did not check the reviews on TripAdvisor first. We checked in on November 12. There were hairs & dirt, on the shower floor, bathroom is large, but the shower very small. We wanted ice and found on the ice bucket chewed gum that someone had placed on the lid. We could not stand the glaring inverted Fluorescent Tube neon yellow "L" light in the room, from ceiling to floor. There was a 2" hook to hang our clothes. We called front desk to come see the room condition. He came, took photos, said this was the first time he had ever seen chewed gum stuck on ice bucket. He said he would send the photos to the manager. He offered us another room. He said "ALL" of the rooms had the inverted Fluorescent Tube neon yellow "L" in corner, this was not relaxing for us. We asked for a refund, he understood, it was given. If you want to relax this is not for you. Extremely modern, a counter to plug electronics in is the main function, no lighting to read magazine, etc. read more
