I have stayed here a few times to get to the airport for early flights. It's always very comfortable, with great beds and pillows and quiet rooms. My only complaint was there was construction going on and a lot of the parking lot was blocked off so it was difficult to find a place to park. I was a little mad at another customer, with the shortage of parking spots some rude guy with NY plates decided to take up 6 spots with his 4X4 and long trailer. There were plenty of oversized spots in the back where RVs commercial trucks and other larger vehicles could park. This jerk decided to park right in front of the side doors, again taking sex spots. That's not the hotel's fault. I went up front to complain and the couple in front of me was already complaining about it. Otherwise, it was a good stay and I was very comfortable Once the parking lot is finished everything outside will be just fine.

Thin walls and dirty! The bed slept good but with all the banging around from kids upstairs or next door, sleep was few and far between! Took a bath, saw all of the grime and decided that was enough. They are having some construction but that won't change my mind about staying there again!

It had been quite awhile since I'd stayed at a Hampton... I don't remember them being associated with Hilton, since when did that happen? That was a pleasant surprise, especially since I could bank some of my Hilton reward points and they gave us free waters for being Hilton gold, or whatever that rewards program is called. The location is surrounded by hotels, between a Steak 'n Shake and Holiday Inn. The price is similar or comparable to the other hotels, but the others have hotel restaurants and the other ones have free shuttles available. Considering that the Uber ride to and from the airport was almost $25 each way, that lack of shuttle amenity should be taken into consideration. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The decor is slightly dated, but not overly worn. What I find super annoying though, is when we had a 3 night/2 person reservation, but the room was only stocked with one day's worth of toilet paper, soap, towels, etc. When I arrive to my room, the do not disturb sign immediately always goes up, and if there is a knock at my door during my stay, it's not welcomed. Yep, that happened. The shower temperature was the biggest disappointment. I literally kept it turned up to H maximum and it was only warm. I like my shower hottt though. The pool and jacuzzi are super clean. The lounge seating was comfortable and add to my relaxing experience. The best thing about my entire stay was the complimentary breakfast. The main items rotated, but the staples were yogurts, strawberries, cereals, waffles, etc. I've had a lot of complimentary breakfasts and this one is top notch, so were all of the attendants around the dining area. Complimentary apples and bananas is another speakable perk.

Mildew lined the floor of the shower.

When we first entered our room we were very impressed. It was huge! unfortunately it was downhill from there. These are the lists of cons: 1. Liked the idea of digital check in and going straight to the room upon arrival. The app said we were checked in and the digital key was active. Got there, went up to the room on the 4th floor and it didn't work. We'd attended a funeral and been in a car for 10 hours so we just wanted to go to bed! Instead I had to go back downstairs, check in at the front desk and get the key card like usual. 2. we unload and go straight to bed. The bed was extremely firm - like sleeping on a board. Neither my husband or I got any sleep and we were exhausted! 3. The fold out sofa bed frame was broken. The bed was hard to pull out of the sofa and put back in because the frame was twisted and bent from left to right. Because of that the rest of the bars were buckled and hurt our son's back all night. 4. There were no sheets or pillow cases in the bedding pack for said sofa bed above. 5. In the morning, we ended up skipping showers because there was pink mildew lining the shower floor and the shower doors were covered in soap scum and mold. Didn't look to have been cleaned well in quite awhile. I'd give the place a 1 star if not for the sheer size of the room (Room 402) and the very nice desk space and kitchenette. Everything else was an epic fail which surprised us. We've always enjoyed staying at Hampton Inn.

I loved this one as much as I loved the one in Rochester, NY! I went to Springfield to visit with a customer of ours and after my experience at the Hampton Inn in Rochester vs. the Sheraton Four Points, in Philadelphia, I made sure to get a room at the Hampton Inn here. I was rewarded with the usual awesome level of customer service and an even better room than ever! i attached images of the hotel and the room I was in to give you an idea of the sweetness of the room. The room had an almost full sized refrigerator, microwave with free popcorn, coffee and tea with coffee maker, TWO plasma TVs, a couch, a comfy chair, lap desk for my laptop, mirrored sliding door closet, a huge bed and plenty of room. i swear I was in a 1 bedroom apt! They offer FREE hot breakfast buffet, cereal, coffee, tea, bagels, sweets, waffle makers (with premade waffle mix) multiple juices and more! Warning, sometimes the eggs are kind of bland, but at THIS location you get the eggs mixed with meats depending on the day, the steak and eggs was WAYYYY yummy! They had a pool, jacuzzi, gym, patio to BBQ on and they also offer FREE toiletries! So if you forgot your razor, toothpaste, tooth brush and so an, never fear! Just ask the front desk and they shall provide for FREE! There is also a little "vanity kit" in the room with a nail file, qtips and cotton balls in it. The also have a business office where you can do work or print anything you need, also for FREE! There is also free wireless Internet in your room or wherever you decide to roam within the hotels borders!

Flew to Missouri from California, and this hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. Could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is directly across the street from the hospital, so it was a very easy walk to get to and from seeing our family member. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and very accommodating. We were able to add days and end our stay without any sort of advanced notice, of course, because we did not really know what would be happening. When we did leave, we were given a late-late checkout on request, I really could not say enough wonderful things about how nice it was to not have to worry about our hotel stay. I would give them infinite gold stars if possible. Thank you.

It's also a pretty safe neighborhood, which is nice since parking is in an open lot, not a garage. It's a basic TownePlace Suites. It has good-sized rooms with comfortable beds and a fold-out sofa, basic cooking facilities, a work station and the usual amenities including iron and board. There is also a complementary breakfast, and a few others, including a workout room. Service was generally pretty good. I couldn't find my hair dryer on my first day (heading into a meeting), and the front desk attendant had one to my room within minutes. However, there were several other issues with this property. First, the shower in my guest room was barely warm. Even after receiving assurance from the front desk that maintenance would look after it, it was no better. There is a lobby bar where the attentive bartender pours drinks and offers appetizers from Tuesdays through Saturdays, but the quesadilla on offer was HORRIBLE! Whatever was supposed to be the tortilla (and it was NOT a traditional flour tortilla) had the consistency - and flavor - of cardboard. When I asked the bartender what kind it was, she admitted she didn't know, but suspected it was some kind of "healthy option." One does not order a quesadilla to be healthy. Third, the hotel has a shared computer (not exactly a business center) but requires a log-on for Word or Excel, which makes it pretty useless for anything except surfing the web. Even the credentials provided by the front desk didn't work. On two of the three nights I stayed there, the hotel hosted a fair number of kids' sports teams. That meant the noise level went up, kids running in the halls, and a breakfast room that was pretty well overrun both mornings. Fortunately, there are other restaurants close by, providing options to avoid the crazy. It's not the best TownePlace Suites at which I've stayed (and I've stayed at plenty) but if the location is convenient and the price suits your budget, I wouldn't steer you away.

I'm so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the stylish, contemporary lobby, I felt like I'd walked into a boutique hotel in SoHo. The design is chic, modern, and full of personality. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to get access to my room right away -- a spacious, beautifully appointed room on the fourth floor of the hotel's main building. (Tip: there's a second building across the alley in back, so if location matters to you, be sure to ask which one you're in.) My room was terrific -- upscale furnishings, high ceilings, and a bed so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me. Great mattress, perfect pillows -- everything you hope for in a good night's sleep. As luck would have it, the hotel was celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a lobby reception just as I was heading out to a meeting. The place had a celebratory buzz. When I returned, I made a beeline to Vantage, the rooftop bar, for an Old Fashioned. They were out of Angel's Envy (my go-to), but the bartender made a solid one with Woodford Reserve. A quick evening shower made the rooftop a bit humid, so I headed downstairs to The Order, the hotel's lobby bar -- equally impressive, with a standout liquor selection and, yes, Angel's Envy in stock. Round two. The next morning, I hit their fitness room in the back building, followed by a run through downtown. Afterward, I grabbed a surprisingly good $10 breakfast burrito from the on-site café. My only real quibble: no complimentary coffee in the lobby. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, it's a small thing that would make a big difference. Overall, Hotel Vandivort delivered style, comfort, and a memorable experience. If you're heading to Springfield and want something with personality and polish -- stay here. Highly recommended.
