Updo review from 2022. Love the Hilton chain and this one is conveniently located when in the area. Room was a little underwhelming thus the 4 stars. Hotel offers bar service, on sight restaurant, business center, meeting rooms, exercise room, indoor pool and nice outdoor seating area.

Comfy beds and best pillows. I actually took a pic of the tags of the pillows to buy them for home. It is a welcoming friendly staffed hotel. They give options to diamond members regarding points, extra points, meals, snacks, etc, which most do not. Bec of these listed items we will return when in town, even though the rooms are very out of date.

I really don't know why this place got 4 stars, but I have to tell you this place should have 7 stars! I am traveling cross the country with my pet, from south west to north east! I stopped at other Hilton's and Marriotts, but none are like this one! Here, All employees are friendly. It's clean and food is great! The Chefs, Bart and Larry, are amazing! I'm from California and I had foods here that I never tasted before! If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the place you wanna come to! I have travelled all over the world and this Hilton in Missouri resembles the international Hilton I have seen in Europe! I also have stayed in other Hilton in Arizona which reminded me of Motel 6 only in pink color! And I mean Motel 6 by every definition!!! Called home 2 something, in sunrise street--stay away from that one! Aside from that nightmare, don't pass on this Hilton, you'll love it!

Nice and fairly new. Not a ton of stuff around it, but plenty within a short drive. It's a nice green building which is good to know. It fits with the Hilton Garden Inn brand standard with the adjustable beds as well as nice workout facilities and hot breakfast (for a fee). Service was great in the hotel restaurant.

I hadn't been to Springfield in years, so I asked a local where I should stay for a quick overnight…read moretrip. Without hesitation, he said, "You've got to try the Vandivort." I'm so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the stylish, contemporary lobby, I felt like I'd walked into a boutique hotel in SoHo. The design is chic, modern, and full of personality. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to get access to my room right away -- a spacious, beautifully appointed room on the fourth floor of the hotel's main building. (Tip: there's a second building across the alley in back, so if location matters to you, be sure to ask which one you're in.) My room was terrific -- upscale furnishings, high ceilings, and a bed so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me. Great mattress, perfect pillows -- everything you hope for in a good night's sleep. As luck would have it, the hotel was celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a lobby reception just as I was heading out to a meeting. The place had a celebratory buzz. When I returned, I made a beeline to Vantage, the rooftop bar, for an Old Fashioned. They were out of Angel's Envy (my go-to), but the bartender made a solid one with Woodford Reserve. A quick evening shower made the rooftop a bit humid, so I headed downstairs to The Order, the hotel's lobby bar -- equally impressive, with a standout liquor selection and, yes, Angel's Envy in stock. Round two. The next morning, I hit their fitness room in the back building, followed by a run through downtown. Afterward, I grabbed a surprisingly good $10 breakfast burrito from the on-site café. My only real quibble: no complimentary coffee in the lobby. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, it's a small thing that would make a big difference. Overall, Hotel Vandivort delivered style, comfort, and a memorable experience. If you're heading to Springfield and want something with personality and polish -- stay here. Highly recommended.

Rest of the adventure was downhill....... I arrived earlier than my 4pm scheduled check-in time, which for most Best Western hotels is not an issue considering my Diamond Select status (yes, I stay at Best Wester hotels quite a bit). Was told by someone at the front desk that unless I paid a $30 early check-in fee, they could not check me in, as they were very busy with cleaning......Normally, I could live with that, but then things went downhill....... Came back later and Ms. Tracy checked us in. We went to our room, and were greeted by a garden of cigarette butts outside the room. So much for the extra time that was needed for cleaning. The room was microscopic, complete with a desk chair that resembled a torture device, had burned out lightbulbs in the bathroom, a sink stopper that was simply sitting in the sink and not connected, and the hair drier was completely missing. The television was smaller than the computer monitor I am writing this review on. Ice machines were also not functional, except for one in a vending area that required a key card to gain entry. For a hotel that claims to be historic, the place has seen better days. My money will be better spent staying at a place down the street for a couple of dollars more that is actually worth the price paid.
