Beds are lumpy and hard. No water or phone working. Lady at desk was rude when asked for a refund.

Another Great visit - Relaxation just off the Branson Strip…read more - - - - - - - - September, 2025 Visit Short Summary: Great property near everything yet can and relaxing. Located on the Yellow Route and close to Reza Theater, the Titanic, and about 15 minutes from Salt Lake City- - -Additional information : My wonderful wife planned a getaway to Branson Labor Day weekend 2025, and we had a great time. Each time we've visited, we have stayed at Willow Ridge. We have typically been in rooms near the pool; this trip on the 5th floor with a view away from the pool, to the south. We hadn't realized when we scheduled the trip, but this 2025 Labor Day weekend, Branson hosted the US Navy Blue Angels for the first time, and we could see the show from our balcony - wonderful! - - - The property - - - Three buildings; 5 floors apiece. You can see the Branson Strip (Hw 76) but you don't hear the commotion. To the south is a great view of the Ozark hills.- - -The room- - -The rooms are standard MVCI / Marriott Vacation Club rooms:- 2 bedrooms, one king and two full sized beds- 2 bathrooms- Laundry- Kitchens with servings for 8 and all the utensils you need; refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave and coffee machine.. with coffee available; just ask housekeeping for more- Patio table and chairs with a view- nice!Recommendation: bring a Bluetooth speaker for music.- - - Activities- - -In the main building there is football, ping pong / table tennis, an exercise room, a place for kids to have fun, and more. We spent most of our time at the pool; there are hot tubs. We also played a round of disc golf - this seems to be a simple course, but it does have surprising challenges; more MVCIs should have disc golf like Willow Ridge does!- - - MarketPlace- - -The MarketPlace is in the lobby; is a smaller shop. Also there are daily and evening activities for free or minimal cost. I like the location near wal mart and price chopper, since rooms have kitchenettes or full kitchens. They're spacious and don't look like a chain hotel, with a cookie-cutter layout and amenities. We've stayed here before and the only complaint we previously had was the lack of open restaurants (weekdays, only 2 options) and something to do besides gamble. With Joplin only 15 minutes away, you're not going to starve. Compared to other casinos/hotels, Downstream is left a bit lacking. I know this may sound weird, stating you didn't want to gamble in a casino, but this place is a convention hub. So they could add something to accommodate the variety of tastes of visitors. But the facilities are very nice!

Funny she chose this casino. She just wanted to relax, use the spa, swim and gamble. As I right this it is 8pm at night and we still have not been able to access our reserved rooms on her 60th birthday. I tried several times to speak with someone in authority about our situation and was given the RUNNAROUND. Eventually someone told me that a lady named Kelly was in charge of the entire casino at this time. I as to speak with her to explain our situation. She showed up and after explaining everything in great detail she told me there was nothing she could do. As check in time was at 4pm. Remembernwee arrives at 1230 with prior reservation weeks ago for her 60th birthday. She said it was policy and she had no authority to make exception. She said she would check into the matter immediately, which she did and got back to me. She told me the same thing that check in time wasnatn4pm and there were no exceptions per policy. Even though I explained to her that we are members and come her often and have never had this problem even without a reservation. She said she wasnsorry that is policy and there are no exceptions. When I asked is there were managers above her it was like pulling teeth. Wow, this was my wifesn60th birthday. I am sending this as a future customer service courtesy. I have been a top executive for a city before I retired and good customer service was and is a priority, and yes, sometimes there are certain circumstances where things go wrong and fall through the cracks and don't align with policy. That's why we have management on duty to correct those some what unfair mishaps, as they do occur from time to time. Kelly make it clear she had no such authority to rectify our situation. So my wife never had access to the spa or pull. If the tone of this email indicates that I am more than frustrated, to put it politely, I AM PISSED!!! Sorry, but it was my wife's one single special 60th birthday celebration day and choose your establishment. What a severe let down. I will be posting this on every social media I have access to to share our horrible experience. I really hope some one reads this and make some changes in the future toward good customer service! Thank You

Even though it was the day after Christmas and they had no other guests, the owners, Mark and Dixie, were still nice enough to open up their B&B to us. The drive to get there from North Springfield was beautiful - very pastoral. This area, just outside of Rogersville, is called Compton Hollow. I was a little surprised when we pulled up to see that the B&B itself is in a building with metal siding and roof. However, the inside is as warm and cozy as you would ever want, with hardwood floors, beautiful wood trim, a nice little table for eating or playing games, and a large comfy couch for visiting, watching TV and movies (they have a vast library) or listening to music. Mark gave us a tour, and the rooms are all well decorated and appointed. Each has a country feel, but they all very slightly on different themes. We stayed in the Panther Valley Room, which seemed to be the most romantic. It had a huge and very comfy king bed, a two person air tub, as well as a full bath with a shower. There was bubble bath and many other personal care items provided, plus a bowl of chocolates. The building is built on a hillside, so you enter on the upper floor. Downstairs, there is a huge, beautiful kitchen where Mark makes huge, beautiful breakfasts (and sometimes dinners too). There's also a large dining table and space for groups to gather, as they often host quilting and scrapbooking retreats. We had very limited cell service on our Verizon phones (which was a good thing for helping us to unplug), but the free wi-fi service seemed very solid for the hour or so that we used it during our stay. The weather was cold and rainy, so we did not get out and enjoy the 40 acre property during our visit, but we did see that there is a nice big wooden deck at the back of the building that looks into the woods and is used for weddings. Mark said that they are working on creating trails through the property for visitors to enjoy. Mark and Dixie are the nicest folks you'll ever meet. We chatted with them at breakfast, and it was like talking with old friends. I loved everything about this special place.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the facilities and ambience at this B&B. We came in after dark and had no trouble finding it with the help of Google maps. We were greeted by Mark and his wife Dixie who were lovely, welcoming and very helpful! My wife and I enjoyed a complimentary spritzer as we soaked in the hot tub and later enjoyed a movie while laying in the comfortable bed. I woke up to the smell of coffee brewing, (my favorite way to wake up), and our breakfast was simply delicious! I give this place five stars for an overall relaxing and enjoyable experience!!!

It was def an "A-OK" experience in my book for a few reasons: PRO: Located just off the highway so it's suuuper easy to find! CON: Being located right off the highway means there may be some road-noise during your stay. Also in the morning we could hear other guests in the hallway clear as day. Ugh! PRO: A handful of amenities including and outdoor pool and breakfast bar in the morning! CON: The pool is outdoors so if you're there in the winter/early spring you'r out of luck there. The breakfast bar had a variety of options for patrons so you can get a little something in your tummy. Nothing fancy here! PRO: They're pet friendly! CON: They're pet friendly! They means you man hear them throughout the hotel or smell them in your room. PRO: Friendly service/staff! CON: None! Friendly service is always the best! Being from out of town we were given a run down of the amenities and directions (with a map) to several different places to grab a bite and a drink. While Super 8 Lamar wouldn't have been my first choice for lodging - it made for a decent enough place for us to stay and rest our heads after a long day of travel.
