We frequent Springfield from St Louis A LOT for concerts and Tru isnour go to for lodging! Rooms are amazing and meticulously cleaned.. love the smart setup on the TV that I have access to all my streaming services and games and whatnot!! The lobby is great and love the game area and pool table!! Good selection of latenight grub and even a fine selection of alcoholic beverages! Free internet works just fine throughout the whole hotel and we can spend hours literally in their salt water pool! Staff is VERY attentive and accommodating! LOVE that they're all tated up too! Oh and breakfast is good too!! Everything everyone would want for a basic continental breakfast that varies day to day! (Unlike Big Cedars Anglers lodge which had the same meal 4 days in a row!!) Bacon egg pancakes one day, sausage eggs next day, omelet the next etc! Cya all soon!!! read more

My Highway 44 adventures took me to Springfield, Missouri. While looking for a fairly centralized place to stay, this place met the criteria. The lobby is absolutely amazing! Nooks and crannies for reading or working. There are several tables, two swing chairs, table games, and a pool table. There is a small fitness center, and a postage stamp indoor pool. We headed up to our room. The two queen room felt just a little cramped with the two beds. But, as always you just make do. The room is modern with minimalist furniture and decor. My rating criteria always includes the bed and shower. The bed was comfortable, sheets soft and clean, the comforter could have been just a little bit thicker. I always struggle with pillows at hotels. I use one firm and one soft pillow at home. I should probably just start bringing my own. The bathroom was clean and fresh. The shower was hot! With excellent water pressure! I also wanted to note the in-shower toiletries. The body wash has a bright lemon scent. The shampoo and conditioner had a similar scent. Just a nice touch to add to the experience. We did decide to forgo the complimentary breakfast. Peeking at the setup, they offer the usual breakfast fare. Definitely enough to tide you over. Very nice hotel located near the downtown area. The lobby is updated, spacious, and includes activities like large jenga, connect four, and a pool table. Behind the lobby is an outdoor sitting area with string lights. The pool was indoors with a spacious deck. The breakfast was nice. They had eggs, bacon, make your own pancake machine, and several other items. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They made the stay worthwhile. The only downside was the room seemed dark as it did not have an overheard light. The lights in the room came from lamps. read more

If you've ever wondered what the word "indifferent" means, this is your place. The front desk staff has that in bunches! The hotel itself is nice enough, but the staff really doesn't care about you. I had a homeless person follow me in to the hotel, and the desk person told me that the person was "a guest from another hotel." The place isn't managed, contacting the "General Manager" as noted on the business cards at the desk doesn't respond, and neither does the Bryan Group that runs the hotel. Save yourself angst. You know how you drive for hours book a hotel online on the way hoping to God you will have a comfortable room to crash? Well this is the place where you will find not only a comfortable bed, a friendly welcome, hot 24/7 coffee and hot water in the lobby for tea and a really cute room that is spotless! They serve a nice breakfast and have a comfortable lounge area. They sell great snacks and the rooms are easy to get to. After a 12 hour drive this place was wonderful. Pros: Fast Check in. Pretty nice staff I guess. We got in late and the girl looked either tired or bored, but still got us all checked in with no problems. I didn't expect her to be all bubbly that late at night lol. Clean room. Nice shower. Decent continental breakfast. I had oatmeal. Good location in town. Easy to find from the airport. They gave me 1,000 points towards another stay since my sister manages a Hilton (friends & family program?). I liked the welcome note on the TV. Cons: I banged my leg/knee twice on the wood corner of the bed frame at the foot of the bed because a king size might be too big for that room, or perhaps the corners of the frame are too sharp? I could not find a laundry bag to put my dirty laundry in. No closet. The AC fan woke me up a few times when it came on. It wasn't the most quiet AC. I had forgotten to bring my earplugs. The staff started vacuuming a room right above ours at like gosh 7:30 AM which was like 5:30 for us in Pacific time, coming in from CA, so I ended up being awoken too early. I was then really sleepy all day. Anyway, still a great stay. Would stay there again, but I would bring earplugs. Thanks! read more

The hotel was exactly what I expect from a Hilton or Tru. Easy checkin on my app and straight to the room. Everything was clean. Breakfast was okay. The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable and the app features mostly worked, all except temperature control. The only issue we had was the other guests in the evening - a group of drunk businessmen with fowl mouths and lewd conduct. I don't think the staff knew what to do about it, so they did nothing. We escaped to the opposite side of the lobby and tried to ignore them. read more

Checked in at afternoon hours after the earliest check in time and rooms were still not ready, finally got our rooms after 30 minutes of waiting and they smelled musty and dirty. It was a multiple day stay and asked room cleaners to come and make our beds while we were out for several hours only to come back and see our rooms had not been touched. One of the housekeepers mentioned that they were understaffed so I understand that but with having such a tight schedule, the staff at hotel did not seemed organized or prepared for our arrival. Besides the bad service and room smell the facilities were nice and they had a good selection for snacks in lobby. read more

We were traveling thru Sfield to STL and stopped over for a night. I didn't want to stay near I44 as the hotels out there are travel weary and worn. I looked up some Hilton Properties and used my points on the Tru Downtown. I've stayed at a Tru concept hotel a couple of times before when out of state so was familiar with the set up. Part Ikea, college dorm and part hotel the modern vibe has a fun feel, the properties are fresh and the tech is on point. Parking was provided on site, really appreciated that-make note that some websites don't offer the parking info-but rest well, you can park on property. We pulled in under the overhang and grabbed a cart, used the digital key and got settled into our room. I tried to book an upper floor end of hall but none were available. Our 3rd floor room toward the end of the hall was fine, but the walls seem really thin, or at least the doors are-you can hear people talking in the hall, also you can hear people walking overhead. The TV is great, we logged into Netflix and started a movie. Workout center, pool, and a hydration station-a huge bonus. Everything appears to be clean. One tricky aspect is the HVAC. The heat is way too hot, the AC way too cold, the constant fan (which I use to mask the noise from the other rooms) seems to turn off when switching from heat to AC. Hopeful for a good night's rest. read more

This is a solid hotel. Staff were very nice and quickly fixed any issues we had. I really like the minimal furniture in the room and the lack of carpet. It makes the room easy to clean and less likely for things to be left behind. It also had a large nice TV that was easy to synch with my Netflix and Youtube. Lower stars because: we were checked into a room that was not clean and had to move (promptly remedied but still...) and because pool was closed for the weekend. We would not have selected hotel had we known. Seems to me that 99% of the time pools can be cleaned on a schedule and this info could be available at time of booking. We went to convention center and hotel was conveniently located to that--liked the downtown location. Update: I did this review as well as a survey. It was nice that Hilton reached out and apologized for the pool being cleaned. They stated it was due to "a child's accident" and was unexpected. read more

My room Was a little small and walls were a touch thin and I could here the room next to me. In the lobby they have plenty of snacks if you get hungry which was nice. I would def return. read more

I called to make reservations and was redirected to a third party vendor. This was unknown to me and when I booked the room for two night they overcharged me by several hundred dollars and made it non refundable. This appears to be a deceptive business practice and the front desk was unable to assist me with the issue. I plan on advising the State Attorney Generals office of their practices read more

If less stars were able to be given I would! Arrived and not only NOT greeted with the diamond member extras (bottled waters a small snack or even acknowledged) for the weekend but requested a couple extra pillows so that each registered guest in the room had 2 pillows to sleep with. The staff went and looked and after awhile I was going to go back and see where the pillows were. The staff shouted at me from down the hall saying they had no other bedding! Not enough for 2 pillows per registered guest!! The rooms are very drafty and could hear the winds all night long coming thru the windows. Next morning I let the manager, Nicholas, I was upset and almost wanted to check out and stay my other night at another hotel. He stated he was sorry for the actions of staff and got me the pillows and bedding as needed and stated he was crediting me 1 nights worth of points to my account. I agreed to stay the duration of my stay. Checking out I even spoke with him again and told him from then on things were good but would look for those 1 nights points to be credited. He is the GM of this hotel and decided nearly a week after I left the property and the city to take back his offer! He stated I was a liar and refused to give me his bosses contact info. I looked it up myself and learned she manages the Hampton in the Hills in Branson. She as well stated I was a liar and she stood with the staff there not yelling and not providing me with pillows and such. They state that but yet they have no security cameras or audio or anything as I requested that there in the hotel lobby or 1 floor hotel! This pricier hotel will not treat you with respect. They do NOT HAVE SECURITY FOOTAGE OR AUDIO EITHER! They are a franchise as they state and do not have to follow Hilton standards (as they even stated in an email) They are an overpriced Days Inn type hotel. Don't waste your money or time here! read more

Most importantly, this hotel is CLEAN! Everything had stickers saying it was disinfected which was nice. The staff throughout our three days there were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great compared to most hotels during this time. A few other things, the pool was closed the first night/the first half of the next day due to cleaning. It was a bit of a bummer but we understood that it needed cleaning. The walls are also very thin.. they had music playing outside near the pool entrance until very late at night (not loud enough to wake my one year old, but enough to be a bit annoying.) The rooms are a bit small. We bumped into the edges of the bed multiple times trying to walk around the desk chair. Other than that, it was a great stay and we'd stay again if we're in Springfield. read more

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is not because it was bad in any way, it just also wasn't exceptional in anyway. It was a nice, clean, basic hotel. Perfect for an overnight stop. The rooms were clean. We didn't use the pool or the fitness area, but both looked nice. During COVID, they're still offering breakfast in a to-go style. You receive an order sheet at the front desk upon check-in and then return it that same evening. The next morning they line bags up with your order tickets on it and the bags contain your breakfast. I thought it was nice that they still offer the option during the pandemic. The staff was very friendly. We'd stay there again if we were passing through town. read more

We've stayed here twice and this is probably one of the cleanest hotels we've been in. It is a nice basic no frills hotel but for just an overnight stay that's great with me. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. It was your basic hotel breakfast but everything seemed fresh & they were constantly wiping counters and refilling items. We loved everything about this hotel. My daughters loved the time of the pool. The windot dark shade was amazing. The reason why I didn't give a 5 star is because I used a digital key and the morning we were leaving my digital key no longer worked. Which mind you that was at 8:30AM. Didn't find this out until I worked out of the room to take the first wave of bags to the car. I forgot my keys on the bed. I tried to use my digital key and it told me it was no longer available. So I called the front deck from my phone. They told me to go get a card key from the them at the desk. The lady at rhe desk refused to give me a card key because I didn't have an ID. I told her my ID was locked in the room she got very rude to me and refused to help me. A few minutes later of me having to argue with the lady, my digital key started to work again. read more
