Our family of six had dinner here recently. Detroit style pizza was outstanding and comparable to blue pan. We were very impressed by the service. Gerald was a real treat. The restaurant is very new, clean and the parking lot is spacious. We also tried a bar style pizza and found that just OK. Completely frustrated. Placed and paid for an online order on Wednesday for pick up Saturday at 6:25 - 3 days in advance. Received email confirmation right away. Husband headed over Saturday evening only to discover they had no record of the order. Fortunately, he had the email to prove it and they got to work on our 3 large pizzas. They threw in a 4th on the house, and gave my husband a couple of cards for free small pizzas, but I'm not inclined to go back. Excellent customer service, good pizza and variety. Our server definitely deserves 5 stars. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars overall is because I am comparing it to some of the best pizzas I've eaten in my life across the U.S. nothing wrong with them. Ordered the meatballs and brussel sprouts for apps and their pepperoni Detroit style pizza. The meatballs didn't knock it out of the park, they came with a good helping of marinara which was strangely lacking in the pizza. The meatballs came with really stale bread. Good potential if they added more fats into the meatballs and have them in a bigger size for the price paid. The brussel sprouts were flavored well but had a mushy texture as opposed to crispy. Pizza also had good flavor but the sauce was in the middle of the slices in a landing slip, which sounds more sexy than it looks. Unfortunately, would've preferred Papa Johns pizza. Service was also not great, the waitress would not remember to bring ranch though she was the one who asked if I wanted any in the first place. She was more focused on taking care of a couple in front of us, who had already finished their meal-which i thought was strange. My thoughts good improvement, bigger meat balls, fresher bread, crispier brussel sprouts, and more pizza sauce. Hire more experienced wait staff, or put more emphasis on training. read more

Grew up in Detroit eating Buddy's Pizza. This is the best Detroit pizza outside of Detroit! I was on the fence about trying Via 313. Tried other "Detroit" style pizzas in Denver and they were ok, but not the same . After my first bite of the Detroiter, tasting the crust and then the sauce brought me back to the pizza I grew up loving as a kid. Firstly - pizza was SO GOOD. We don't have a lot of this style of pizza where I'm from, so this was my first taste of Detroit style and WOWOWOW it was amazing. Such good crunch. I will say, we were quoted 30 minutes wait time for togo order, but we ended up waiting 60 minutes. This was on NYE so I don't fault the restaurant and the 5 starts are for the food. Great pizza, great service, great people. The wait was long and the kitchen was backed up so it took almost an hour to get our food. We are pretty easy going and love to people watch so it wasn't the end of the world. The staff however took very good care of us and comped us with free desert pizza. My Sweetheart and I finally got around to visiting Via 313 Pizza. I'm not sure we (well I'm certain I wasn't...) were aware that this was Detroit style pizza. Having tried a couple of other Denver metro pizza places that serve up Detroit style, we were anxious to compare and contrast the two. The staff and service was top notch - we had one wait staff in training and another who was the trainer - both were super helpful and friendly, taking the time to explain the difference between our past experiences and what we were about to experience here. We ordered the Original Pepperoni - so tasty - pepperoni under cheese. We ordered a smaller pizza as we also ordered an the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and didn't want to walk away filling stuffed. We both agreed - Via 313 is our new #1 for Detroit style pizza - while they don't have the creative, complex variety that another place has, they do their crust well and their ingredients are flavorful and seem of a high quality. This spot is convenient to pop into while I charge my Tesla so husband and I come here semi regularly. I love the neon side inside the front door that says "EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT." Not only is it fun, but it's a good reminder :) We were here tonight just before happy hour ended and sat at the bar to get a pizza to go and a round of drinks. The bar tender greeted us promptly but told us it would be a minute because they were wildly understaffed this evening. The restaurant was JAMMED tonight! Which isn't surprising because their pizza is great and the staff have always been super friendly. Looking around I noticed they didn't appear to have any servers tonight.... Just the bar tender and maybe a kitchen manager serving food (kitchen looked a little understaffed but we're still cranking out food pretty efficiently). What was really surprising is that the staff seemed cool, calm, and collected despite being super busy. Customers (from what I observed) were polite and understanding; most of the bar patrons being regulars. I did hear the bar tender / pm manager telling tables he'd take care of a drink or provide a discount as a thanks for their patience. He's a great guy and apologized to husband and I for not giving his best tonight due to the craziness. Did get a chance to briefly chat with bar tender and learned there is a friend chicken place opening up next door that is supposed to be out of this world. Looking forward to it!! read more

We were there for 2 hours. SLOW and inattentive service. The server would just disappear and forget about our table. It wasn't even that busy. We had to ask and re-ask for everything! The food was also subpar. Salad had old and wilted lettuce. Pizza tasted like it was frozen. Not sure what the cinnamon desert should have tasted like, it came out very late and dry. We were seated in a booth near the bar and were waited on by Wylie who was also tending bar. Finding out it was our first trip, he took time to explain the menu and answer our questions. We went with the Detroit style Cadillac pizza. I must admit to being skeptical. I usually prefer thin crust. The Cadillac is not traditionally topped. Prosciutto, fig spread and cheese with balsamic glaze. After the very first bite I immediately said it was the best pizza I've ever had. Wylie's service was friendly and prompt.
