When I put my hand on the door handle, he grabbed my neck from behind and started screaming "let go of the door!" I hadn't even made the connection yet that it was the BOUNCER at the point he (and his two coworkers) pulled back so hard that the door broke and swung the wrong way on its hinges. I tumbled through three metal barriers and was bruised pretty bad but thankfully had no major injuries. I attempted to contact both the bar and the security company but both led to a dead end as I was stonewalled each time. Looking at the other reviews, it seems their behavior has not improved, as another user mentioned being cussed at and spit on. I'm writing this to let you all know the risks of going to this establishment so you don't walk into the same situation I did. CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale NY does a number of performances. Not only well known works as…read morethe up coming Addams Family the Musical, new works as The Area between Us written by Ashlyn Frank , a variety of children's shows and, as well , a combined effort murder mystery in a church for a fundraiser. Sin & Gin was a fun and cute performance of a 1920s theme murder mystery. It took place in the Saint Ann's Church in Saville NY, as a combined effort of the Church, along with People's Arc of Suffolk . The write up is a service for Edith Corse Evans' a fellow member who had died 10 years before, who heroically gave up her seat for her friend on the Titanic (Edith was a real person who gave up her seat for Caroline Brown) when one seat on the life boat was left, knowing she had children to go home to. As in most stories this one had name changes. (You know; when you see that list at the end noting any resemblance to real people is strictly coincidence) The Cast who I must applaud all stayed in character, no matter what questions that I asked them. They and many of the parishioners who came to pay their respects, were also dressed in 1920s attire. Of course after the service, a FRONT, they sneakily took a trip to the back River Room where all kinds of things happened including a rousing evening of booze, jazz and ---MURDER! (See pix + Videos) Dinner was included in the ticket price of $75.00. As was one complimentary glass of wine or beer, courtesy of Loughlin Vineyards with an open cash bar for more. For the fund raiser they also had tickets for purchase a 50/50 a door prize basket and other raffle baskets. CM Performing Center is one of the Long Island theaters for live performances. Yesterday, was a glorious Sunday at the Long Island Maritime Museum, in West Sayville. There was a…read moreseafood festival, taking place outdoors, in the beautiful grounds of this park-like settings.. The weather was perfect. Warm and sunny. The breeze coming from the Marina was very pleasant. Picnic chairs and blankets were scattered around. Food, drinks, live music were the perfect combo. Me and my parents arrived at 3:30 pm. It was packed with people of all ages, and of course, a lot of children were present. Several food trucks were scattered around the park area of the museum. The best empanadas were from Island Empanadas food truck. The shrimp mango empanada were delicious! Moist inside, and the crispy crust was amazing. Let's not forget grilled corn and fresh oysters we're also on my radar. I also enjoyed a glass of summer ale while I was people-watching. It was the best way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon.

Because of covid you're not allowed to browse the gift shop if there's something you want to buy the museum staff have to show you and if you want to buy it than you can have it and touch it all you want. Got my son a hat. We saw the main museum and the oyster house because certain buildings had doors that couldn't be open due to wood swelling or expansion or something like that. Despite a rainy day the outside views of the water were still pretty nice to look at.
