Had my wedding here in October and loved everything about the venue…read more Working with Igor, the owner was such a pleasure and he made sure that our wedding was perfect. We had an Ecuadorian-Chinese wedding with family style dining. Our guests raved about the service and food. Our dessert table was massive, and had so much to pick from that having a wedding cake almost seemed like a waste because we had so many sweets. HIGHLY recommend!

Once we arrived at Sandy Hook for one reason or another we ended up renting bikes to get us around. This was a great choice. A bit pricey (regular bikes $30 and tricycles $45 for the entire day) but well worth it. We biked to the lighthouse to get our passport stamped and made our way to beach E. The beaches are pretty clean and not too crowded, keeping in mind that we were there on a Friday. On our way back, and before returning our bikes we decided to check out the north beach. Beautiful open space with miles of flat sandy beach in both directions. We will definitely be returning sometime in the near future.

Dinner was good and the steak was HUGE. They originally got my order wrong but swapped it out for the correct one without an issue. Dessert was also abundant! I was impressed by the amount of options but the desserts I tried were subpar in flavor. They're not a restaurant so I guess I shouldn't expect too much. There were two single bathrooms on the main floor but you do have to go downstairs for the larger bathroom. A little annoying. Overall all staff were great and no issues to report. Definitely recommend having a wedding here. Although I was only a guest so I can't speak on the BTS stuff.

Some of the highlights were the potato bar with multiple types of French fries, the pasta bar, the Asian bar, lamb chops and these chicken skewers that had a nice kick. I would recommend having an event here. You wouldn't be disappointed.

My husband and I LOVE Sandy Hook and have wanted to try stand up paddle boarding for some time. So…read morewe decided to make reservations the night before a beach trip and give these guys a shot. What a great decision! Before we even left for the beach we called SHK and they told us the conditions were a bit too windy for paddle boarding. He advised us to check the Sandy Hook wind forecast before our next trip and suggested wind under 7mph is ideal. So a few days later we tried again. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the guys who works there. He told us a bit about how the weather affects your time on the water. Then he got our boards ready and explained where we could go. We had a blast but it was one heck of a workout. Midway through our first trip I exchanged my board out for a more stable (larger) one. What a difference! The 1 hour rental is enough time to explore the area and not feel completely beat. We loved our experience so much we went back 2 more times.

From the beginning of the event, she was looking for ways to ruin it for me. She ruined the moment, and I paid a lot of money for that venue. She started threatening me, arguing that she would close the bar in the middle of my event after I had paid for an open bar, and she refused to serve alcohol to the guests. She is abusive and racist. I have videos and witnesses of how she treated me; she was never kind or polite to me, and she went out to say that they had rules, but they never give you a contract or explain what you need to do. I would not recommend a Hispanic person to hold an event at this place; it was a very bad experience.
