They are very respectful and understand the trials of a military veteran in regards to the time consuming process of applying for Veterans Affairs (VA) resources and services. I was able to get some emergency food, clean clothes, socks, hygiene products as well as opportunity to work gigs to make money through Veterans Rebuilding Life (VRL) non-profit's huge list of supporters. I feel blessed to have stumbled on this non-profit that really does what they say to change the narrative of how veterans are being treated in this country. The market layout is small. It's a meeting room that was probably full of bingo players the night before. The place has the stale smell of cigarettes and is decorated with pictures of some of America's finest vets on the walls. Pretty much what you should expect from a visit to your local VFW. God bless. This was a nice spot my family picked out. Also not to toot my family's cooking but the food was incredible! Sorry, you can't get it anywhere else, so this review is about the building and not my family's cooking. If you want to have a small family gathering this might be a good idea. The fields are beautiful (it's in a large grassy lot) as is the (massive) park itself. LI-Kick is always set up on time with bases, foul cones, scoreboards and umpires. That's no easy feat. These guys are organized. The kickball itself is a ton of fun. Most of the teams are super cool to play against and we all leave with a big smile on our faces. They have bar meet ups after the games with drink specials and such to continue the fun. Overall, a really fun way to get outside and spend a Wednesday. You can sign up as an individual or a team. Do it! Bonus: they have an app where you can see your team schedule and opt in to games or not
