Such a nice place. We climbed, swam and caught some crawdads. Perfect day! Routes are fun and well protected. The pool is clean and inviting. The corndogs were really good too!

We absolutely love this place. It's such a throwback to old school community pool fun. Such a gorgeous unique setting and lots to do for the kids! My boys have loved coming here. Can't wait to go back!

We are incredibly frustrated with this place. Five of us drove over an hour to get there because we got a coupon for a free "all day access pass" that said it was good for "one group/family". However, we were informed that the coupon was a mistake and it wasn't supposed to say that, but they wouldn't honor their coupon. Not only would they not honor the coupon, but they were actually really rude and disrespectful about the whole thing. We asked if we could speak to a manager, and a person named Emma came to the window and was significantly more rude about it. She held up the paper and said we were just misreading it (even though the other person specifically said that that ad had been a misprint) and proceeded to point out the words one at a time to "help us understand". Seriously? We've seen other reviews that say the same thing as what happened to us and talked to other people who had the same issue afterwards. If so many people are "misreading" your coupon, maybe you should have done a better job at explaining what it's good for. It does NOT explicitly state that it's only good for one person, nor is it easy to infer that that's what it is meaning based only on your on-site signage or website. (I've included photos of the coupon from another person's review who had the same issue because mine got thrown away.) We are pretty bummed because it's normally $16 per person for the day which is really expensive for what they offer. A pool with absolutely no shade and a spot to catch Crawdads in the river? We can just go downstream and catch them anyway without needing to pay for it. This part isn't necessarily a bad thing, but just so other people know, the parking was really limited (although this would depend on how busy it is when you go) and there's a pretty steep paved road that you have to go down to get to the pool (which means you also need to climb back up). But the location does make it a little tough to set it up in any better way. If the opportunity had ever come up, we probably would have tried to go again but there's no way I'll be giving them any business after the way we were treated. Thanks for the crappy experience and dishonesty.

I feel the cleaning staff did a much better job this time and the golf course was finally open. Sadly the golf course still has a lot of issues to work on, in spite of being "finished" for over a year. The golf course itself failed to deliver the same high end service experience the Inn did, and the course also still looked very much under construction. I keep hearing that Black Desert Resort is much better for golf, which is a shame because I know when they open up their accommodations, it will take business away from this lovely Inn. As I understand it, Black Desert Resort will offer a lower green fee for guests at their resort. I really do hope the golf course at Entrada works on some of its shortcomings; combined with the Inn it literally would be the perfect getaway. The Inn on its own is completely fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again; the only problem is I have a husband who plays golf, so that is also a huge consideration for our vacations. The two staff members who stood out on our visit was Lisa and Russ, both of them ensured we had a fantastic visit at the Inn! When we checked in, we were even greeted with a bag of caramel popcorn (what a nice touch). The room is spacious, and the view is gorgeous. We love the fireplace, and the jetted bathtub is fantastic after a day of playing golf. The little kitchenette was so helpful, it came complete with dishes, a mini fridge, sink and microwave. I still do think the units could use a little of an update and refresh, but they are still charming in their own way. The location is great as we were close to Snow Canyon National Park and Santa Clara, both of which we love! Checkout was a breeze and our stay overall at the Inn was top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Inn again, or recommend it to others. If you're looking to play golf here, I have my hesitations (see that review on "Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club").

However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!
