I was first referred to Dr. Jackie Vernot two years ago by my regular veterinarian, Dr. Harjit Lehal, when one of my English cocker spaniels, Jake, was showing signs of developing cataracts. At that time, I had never before seen a veterinary opthamologist and I was a bit apprehensive, but from the very first appointment on that summer day two years ago, Dr. Jackie Vernot has repeatedly impressed me with her knowledge and her superior medical care. She was so very friendly and welcoming on that first appointment, and I remember having to call the office, and speaking to one of her assistants, Alicia, about directions. She was extremely helpful and courteous over the phone.
Within the past two years, all three of my boys have seen "Dr. Jackie" multiple times, and they are now under her regular care and they see her several times a year for rechecks. What makes this veterinary opthamologist so special? Dr. Jackie is brilliant; she has an amazingly gentle, kindhearted demeanor that comforts both the animals and their owners. Also, she is highly professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and informative as she examines the pet and thoroughly explains with words and visual images both her diagnosis and her treatments. Ask her a question about any sub-topic related to your pet's care, and you will be met with a thorough description of veterinary solutions and incredibly descriptive answers that will be both comforting and knowledgeable. She will even share with you the most up-to-date veterinary medical research and how it relates to your pet's care. Dr. Jackie is quite simply a brilliant powerhouse! She is a gold mine of veterinary experience, education, and knowledge.
Dr. Jackie is blessed to have a superior support staff that is a true extention of her top-rated professionalism and her A+ high-quality, unsurpassed medical care. Each of her assistants goes the extra mile to show the clients phenomenal care with an unmatched touch of genuine kindness, concern, and knowledgeable assistance/support. Each time I have called the office or emailed the staff with questions and/or updates on my boys' conditions, I have been incredibly impressed with their devotion to treating their clients and with providing the very finest opthamology medical services one can expect. The staff takes the necessary time to answer questions thoroughly and to document my boys' statuses. I am never rushed by them even when I find myself asking multiple questions.
Recently one of my boys was diagnosed with Horner's Syndrome by Dr. Jackie. The day I noticed changes in his eye, I quite literally was beside myself. Both Alicia and Jessica, Dr. Jackie's assistants, over several weeks time, fielded my phone calls regarding my updates on my Jake, and they also responded to my emails which contained photos of his eye. They have both gone out of their way to leave medications for me at the front counter so that I could pick them up on the weekend when the emergency vet was there. Leaving me detailed voice messages so that I completely understand how many times a day each one of my three boys is to receive his eye drops is another positive trait of this medical practice. I thoroughly appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail that Jessica and Alicia give since I am in a profession where access to a phone is limited, but yet I desperately need the information and the feedback they give.
Finally, as a client, one can expect that Dr. Jackie and her devoted, loving staff will show each patient respect, kindness, unsurpassed medical care, and love. Perhaps it is the quality of love that sets this veterinary practice and its valuable members apart from so many others. Dr. Jackie and her loving staff genuinely care about each of their patients and they enjoy caring for them. One thing is for sure: as a "mom" of three English cocker spaniels who all require opthamologic medical care, I highly recommend Dr. Jackie Vernot and her fabulous staff which includes Jessica, Alicia, and Kelly. You will not be disappointed, and your pet will benefit, just as my boys, Jake, Joey, and Jack have, from this physician's expertise and superior medical care. As an added bonus, your pet will go CRAZY for the special freeze-dried treats with which Dr. Jackie rewards her patients at the end of their visits; this little bonus reminds my boys each visit of how much fun it is to see their favorite opthamologist, Dr. Jackie, and it is super sweet to see how excited they get as they choose their treats. (I think Dr. Jackie secretly enjoys it as much as my boys do!)
Lastly, thank you, Veterinary Vision, for providing my boys with the best care possible and for caring about them. We appreciate you!
