Genuinely so impressed by this vets office. They take great care when working with "difficult" or reactive animals. they truly care about creating a stress free environment for their patients. I felt heard and like I had great resources at my disposal. They also have a certified trainer on staff to help with dogs who require more attention and de-stressing. i've seen two of the vets at this practice and they both were on the floor with my dog petting him, talking to him and making sure he was comfortable. they also let me stay with him for the entirety of my appointment even when he needed to be sedated. So my little guy (a pom mix) tore his "ccl" (in people acl) while running around at the hotel. We're orginally from IL Naperville area and we now live in s.f. bay area Ca. This clinic was our clinic prior to leaving IL. So I decided to take him back here when he got hurt ~3 days before xmas. We saw Dr. Daily, diagnosis took 2.5 appointments. Which was fine with me she is very thorough and our 1st appointment they squeezed us in at 4:50 their last appointment. After an initial exam she discussed the options with me very patiently (she even sat on the floor with me and my pup while talking to me) I opted to bring him back for xrays etc. As he would need to be sedated (my little guy is a spaze at vets) and it was to late in the evening to do all that. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Daily (not sure it's the right spelling). She is paitent, througoh and follows up! She called back the next day when it was all done, after reaching out to colleagues in CALI for me so my pup could go to a place where she new people. She also found a heart murmur in my little guy, that EVERY other vet from Nor. Cal to So. Cal had missed. We've moved alot, so new vet almost every year since 2014. She explained everything to me without scaring me and laid out a few different what if treatment scenarios. Which was nice. ALL the front desk staff are nice , friendly and very compent. Everyone seems to like their job in there which is important to me when intrusting my fur baby. At this point we come back home a few times a year and my pup always comes with me. Thus, I have decided to just get his annual exams here going forward. His murmur will require on going monitoring. This place is not about $$, it's about you and your pet. Dr. Keith Norberg is so knowledgeable, patient and proactive vs reactive with his care. We left another local vet practice because the wait times (in your car for an hour+ with a sick pet during Covid) were excruciating and the care sometimes felt like us pulling it out of them. Danada Vet really has their system down and hasn't missed a step due to Covid. They're always on time to greet us, they live up to promised pickup times, and it goes without saying they're level of care and available medical technologies are phenomenal. A month ago my parakeet was sick and I needed a Avian veterinary hospital that could get an appointment for her the earliest possible. I called so many Veterinary hospitals and they were all booked. I remember one was booked for a whole month and couldn't fit me in. I did online searches and called other hospitals for recommendations. I then called Danada and this was my last hope. They answered immediately. I told them everything about the wellness of my bird. They were nice and understanding, they got me an appointment and hours later I went. Danada Veterinary Hospital was the only hospital to fit me in and actually care for my parakeet. I can tell all they cared about was that my bird was okay. This will always be my birds Veterinary Hospital, they have phenomenal service, and good prices, which is a bonus. I'd give 10/5 stars if I could! My family started with our first dog here back around 2007ish? And I now personally take care of our other dogs who is also a patient. They are so gentle, caring, and professional with my senior dachshund. She's highly anxious and has a pretty low pain tolerance, which I imagine isn't easy/fun to deal with, but they are great with her anyway. They always take my calls and e-mails for my concerns regarding her very promptly. I hope if I ever move states I find another place like this for my pets. read more

I did not anticipate being gone for a month, but I knew he had excellent care while I was gone. I loved the pictures and videos of Nigel that they sent. Had an emergency where our pet hedgehog had to be put down. Our exotic vet was not in, so they recommended Danada. I called and spoke with Ellen and explained the situation. In my eyes she went above and beyond to make it as easy as possible. Told us to head right over. Once we arrived, Ellen brought us back to a treatment room to review all of our options for rememberence. Shortly after, Dr. Gunderson came in and examined our little girl and reassured us we were making the right decision. She was just too ill. Would definitely recommend this vet hospital to anyone looking. Unfortunately we moved out of state last year & I'm bummed I can't take my two Maltese's to them anymore. Dr.Norburg (the token male vet here) was who I always took them to see. He's kind and to-the-point.. also was always respectful of whatever choices I made for my dogs. He also did my youngest's neuter surgery & it went great. I appreciated the personal updates along the way. All the front desk staff were always kind as well. Prices are fair. I recently had the unfortunate experience of putting down our beloved family dog at this veterinarian office. The situation was quite challenging, as we were expecting some time to be alone with our dog to say our goodbyes, but the vet stayed in the room the entire time. Furthermore, after our dog was put down, we felt rushed to leave, leaving us with a sense of unease. To make matters worse, they managed to misplace important paperwork on our dog that we had provided them on the same day. It was a deeply emotional and distressing time, and the lack of privacy, rushed atmosphere, and paperwork mishap only added to our grief. I hope this feedback helps the clinic improve its services for other pet owners in similar situations. I only give a couple stars because the women who helped me out when I came back to pick up the ashes was very nice and comforting. read more

100% recommend this place! We found them after having a terrible experience at Naperville animal hospital with our golden retriever, Max. When our cat Odin got sick overnight we knew we needed to find a new place and Danada Veterinary Hospital took our cat right away when we explained his symptoms. Dr.Norberg was amazing at explaining test results and tips for getting our cat better. We thought he was a goner for sure but this place saved his life. I will also add that our 17 pound cat HATES strangers and going to the vet! It's like wrestling a cheetah when you're trying to do anything with him if you're not his mom or dad. He was trying to murder everyone in sight. That being said, we chose to sedate him for tests for the safety of all parties lol we really appreciate everyone who helped Odin get better! To lessen the trauma that our cat may have inflicted at this office with his aggression, we took our sweet golden retriever in later to see Dr.Norberg to treat an ear infection and help with any PTSD his brother may have caused. When you have a dog that is anxious and had a very bad experience at a previous vet, I was amazed at how awesome Danada Veterinary Hospital is. They really have thought of everything to help make visits tolerable and enjoyable. It truly takes a village sometimes and their staff is so wonderful. Darci spent a great deal of time communicating with me way in advance as to a game plan. She is marvelous. Dr Daily was so caring and thorough in her exam. We have trusted them completely with the cats for whom we were guardians over the years -- and the level of care, communication, expertise is superior. We've had some cats euthanized due to advanced illness, but we were able to extend their precious lives with no further suffering thanks to their medical advice. This was an excellent experience. We made an appointment (with Dr Robbins) for Chaps first visit here. At our previous vet we always had to wait a long time, so it was a pleasure to see the doc shortly after we arrived. The reception area is spacious and the seating is designed so that a nervous animal can sit on the seat next to his human while they wait.. NICE! I liked Dr Robbins right away, she took one look at Chaps, folded up the examining table and plopped right down on the floor with him. He got himself a belly rub AND a check up. The dude is living LARGE! I got in small amounts of trouble (Chaps gained a couple of lbs over the winter, I buy Heartworm preventative from a shady source) for being (ahem) honest. We like to take Chaps out and let him run sometimes, so she asked if we want him to have the Lyme vaccine... poor Dr Robbins... this opened up a whole can of worms as I just had to tell her about my Weimaraner that died a few years ago due to seizures that began when she developed a long un-diagnosed case of Lyme disease, despite using Front Line and having the vaccine. (see? now you get the story too! although Dr Robbins was trapped with me and got the looong version) We ended up getting the Lyme vaccine anyway and continue to use Front line because we love our goofy guy Chaps and want to take precautions to keep him around. The staff was very friendly and super efficient. We got our test results before we left, the pricing was very competitive and I never felt like they were trying to oversell me on things. This is the best that I've felt about a veterinary visit, ever. I'll ask for Dr Robbins again, I want her to be the Doc that Chaps knows. Maybe she'll get lucky and I won't have any more rambling stories to subject her to... but, what's the chance of that? read more

We lost a member of our family! Let me start by saying if #1 if could rate them lower I would #2 this is lengthily but well worth your time . It has taken almost a year to send this it was a day ago last year we lost our Miniature Schnauzer to Danada Veterinary the next day after a check up and vaccinations? Go figure. Tuesday August 4th we brought one of our Miniature Schnauzers who was 10 yrs. old Danada for a loose tooth Dr W came out told me we would need to schedule a dental cleaning. I asked if they could possibly remove the loose tooth they did and she came back out and said no issues it came right out. Then added he's due for shots I reminded the Dr. that he had an issue before and almost died from a leptospirosis shot which they wanted to give him? And re-emphasized that we were not giving him that lepto shot right. No distemper, and lyme, they completed his shots and supposedly did a pre-test? The next morning on Wednesday August 5th my wife found him dead in our Kitchen. I immediately wrapped his little body in a blanket and rushed him to Danada less than 5 minutes brought him into a room and he was gone. The young vet that came into check his vitals left to get his chart. My wife came in and were literally sobbing uncontrollably as we tried to hold him. Then Dr W who treated him the day before came in with the other vet and I asked what has happened? I don't have any idea what happened? "No idea you saw him yesterday"? As this was all happening, we are both literally in shock this is surreal the younger vet is asking if we want to bury or cremate him. Really-really, so I say we can't make that kind of decision right now are you kidding me. Then she comes back few minutes later with the question again and my poor wife's hysterical says just do it. So here we go "oh I'll need your credit card the service is $255.00" do you want him cremated separately or with other animals, this is like a bad nightmare! So, while we are both literally crying uncontrollably holding our little guy, here's our vet with our credit card cranking off yet another charge, don't fret they're going to get every nickel they can right up to the very end. It wasn't enough they were content charging me $225.00 the day before which ended in his death, now let's use this opportunity to collect a little more $$. "By the way we had a real professional pick him up the next morning no way we were trusting them after all this. What makes this even worse is that I had to call there later that day to attempt to get some answers from the Dr. W and was told emphatically she was out of the office that day?? I continued to pushback, and finally was told she was done with patients for the day, when i asked to speak to her I was then told she was with a patient and she would have to call back? Feel like were trying to sweep this all under the rug yet? She called back about 5 PM we talked I was told they would have an autopsy done but they put him in the freezer (how nice) as she went on to say that because they froze his little body an autopsy can no longer be accomplished. How "convenient" for Danada. We were able to confirm later from numerous accredited Veterinarians that should never be done in a cases like this i.e. vet 101. On top of all of this we NEVER even received a call from anyone at the hospital including Ms. Dane the owner? Not even we're so sorry for your loss, how are you doing, how is your other dog doing is he okay, let us know if he begins having any issues how we can help? Nope, nothing not a word, absolutely nothing, crickets, CYA mode So, our only conclusion is avoidance is was Danada's best strategy? Oh we did receive a card 11 days later, 2 days after we called to request all his records and his whole file. Then we got a card and Ms. Dane never saw fit to even signed it! He was part of our family, our lives, our home, and our hearts, not just a tag line in your business and marketing statements. Not even a lousy card in the mail until we solicited his records for the 2nd time, the way you treated us you should be ashamed to call yourselves caregivers. You're concerned with one thing the almighty dollar. You didn't even have the common human decency to reach out to us, how sad for you that you didn't even have enough compassion or character for our pet or our family to do something that simple. Oh but you saw fit to keep the $225 you collected the day before we lost him. You could care less that we lost a part of our family, what horrible leadership directly from the top. Anyone this understand vaccines big $$$ for vets they pay pennies for them and charge you 50, 75, 100 or more pushing them yearly. Do your research on vaccines and getting multiples at once, including titer testing because they won't tell you (not the ones looking to make a buck). Research Vet Hospital accreditations. There are several "excellent" accredited Veterinary hospitals in Wheaton this not one of them! read more

Brought our cat in for dental with X-rays and possibly a tooth extraction 2 months after an annual exam (the inflamed gum was not seen at that time). Got a call while our cat was under that it appeared to be a loss of jaw bone and they were giving her a week to a month to live, but was cheerfulYL told the dental was complete. I was charged also for a dental plus exam prior to dental cleaning. They brought her out to my car in her pet taxi and when she got home we gun was red and bleeding and so swollen it was popping out if her mouth. I called for a 2nd opinion and was referred to a dental specialist. The specialist took photos of her teeth that had never been cleaned the week prior by Dr Clemons. A biopsy showed it is a bacterial infection not a tumor. She was sent home in worse shape than she was off and the bleeding was gone after her appointment with the specialist. read more

This past weekend we had an emergency with our little Yorkie. We called around and no one was able to see us for the next 4-5 hours. I was shocked that being an emergency we would have to wait so long. Our last call was to Danada Veterinary Hospital. They were able to see us in an hour and a half for an appointment. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!! It's up to you if you believe me or not. It's up to you to decide if you want to take that risk for your beloved pet or not. A while back they misdiagnosed our ferrets and our cat. The vet there said that our ferrets had an infection. One of our ferrets had the issue peeing and on our last visit they discovered that one of my ferrets has kidney stones, the vet said that we would not need to do surgery because it was "not a big risk" and that it will "go away". We later took him to the ER because he was crying in so much pain and not being able to pee. The ER doctor there said he could have been saved if he had his surgery earlier. We took our other ferret to a different hospital and found out or ferret had severe stomach cancer. For our cat, they said she had Arthritis, we took them to a different hospital and they said she had bone cancer. They said it was extremely obvious through the X-ray we did there. We sent an email to them how we felt and you know what they did? Blamed it on that we refused surgery, blamed it on us that we refuse to help our cat by not getting an X-ray. But a month ago, the vet called us giving us the most "I just want to save my license" apology to us and how she was SO devastated that her mistakes cause this. And now, they dare send us an email on how we were the ones that killed our pets according to "their records". They refuse to acknowledge that they made a mistake and blamed us instead. We are deeply hurt that there was an owner with such morals. If you don't trust my opinion, then go read the other one-star reviews there was a dog that was misdiagnosed with Pancreatitis but in the end, up had severe cancer. Danda, don't even bother replying with your copy-paste response cuz if you had an ounce of care you wouldn't STILL be sending me happy birthday messages for my dead pets. read more

Best vet I've ever been to!!! I have been to many vets over the years and none compare to DVH. They are all so nice and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about what they're doing and never get frustrated answering all of your concerns/questions!! Just had a great experience with Dr. Gunderson. I initially had called Ness exotic wellness center in Lisle. They didn't have any appointments and didn't seem to really have any concern with helping me with my dad's exotic bird. A friend recommended calling Denada animal hospital. I'm so happy I did. I called expressing concerns about my dads bird that didn't look well. Dr. Gunderson got on the phone and talk to me she was so helpful. So knowledgeable. And so nice. She put me at ease that my dads bird was OK. We were able to set up an appointment for a week later. The vet appointment went fantastic we got to meet Dr. Gunderson in person. We used to live in the Wheaton/Danada area, but even though we've moved into the city of Chicago, we still make the trip out to Danada. The staff at the front desk to the our vet, Dr. Leung, everyone is extremely nice and very helpful. Yes, it does take us some time to get out there because of the commute, but it's definitely worth the trip. We have older cat and with health issues so we made the trip at least once every 3 weeks (even though we had hectic schedules). No matter what you were calling for and what problems you were experiencing, they always steered you in the right direction. We recently lost a cat and it was a very hard decision, but the team at Danada made it as easy as it could possibly have been and very sympathetic about the decision we were making. Yes, we live over 30 miles away, but we can't imagine going anywhere else and will continue to go to Danada Veterinary Hospital as long as we live in the Chicagoland area. read more

My family originally started taking our dogs to Danada after one of our dogs was injured. They instantly provided us with a prompt appointment and were some of the most kind and compassionate people and after that we only took them there from then on. Dr. Jenifer Sniezek was so great with working with our dogs and always made every person in our family feel involved in the care of our pets. They are very fairly priced, which is another huge reason we decided to start going to them in the first place. They are worth the drive for any one in the Chicagoland area and they truly care about helping keep animals happy and healthy. The best veterinary care I can possibly recommend in the Western Suburbs. Both of my dogs go here, usually to Dr. Gunderson but we have seen (I think) most of the other doctors that work here on and off - every single one has been phenomenal. I have two larger pitbulls and one is extremely skittish around new people and particularly at the vet, but they have never been anything but COMPLETELY patient with her shenanigans and make both her and myself feel tremendously comfortable. As an added bonus the waiting room and exam rooms are spacious, meticulously clean, and completely darling. My favorite part is seeing framed photos of the doctors' pets in their exam rooms :) I cannot recommend this place highly enough! read more

It is so hard to find a good vet when you have basically any pet other than a dog or a cat. Bunnies are fragile little creatures and they need specialized care and not every vet or vet hospital is equipped or trained to take care of them properly! So I was extremely happy when we discovered Danada for our bunnies and kitty because they are fantastic and took the best care of our beloved pets when we lived in Naperville. Dr. Wallach is awesome! She is friendly, compassionate AND totally competent and I wholeheartedly recommend her as an awesome bunny vet! The other doctors we have seen were really great, too, and, well, basically everyone else there! (And I am apparently unable to talk about how awesome they all are without egregiously overusing the exclamation point!) They were always able to get us in for an appointment when we needed one and were very accommodating when we used the boarding services. Alas, we were unable to bring Dr. Wallach and Danada Veterinary Hospital with us when we moved to Nevada, so the search for an awesome bunny vet continues. read more

I have a very sweet rescue FIV+ cat and Dr. Hiller has always been so responsive, thorough,and thoughtful. Prince Caspian recently had to be de-clawed because of infections and I was super traumatized to put him through that (especially since he had had his teeth removed years ago). On top of it all, my sister was getting married that week...so there was a lot happening. Dr. Hiller was so calming and reassured me that he would be fine. I was such a wreck the day of the surgery and she called me with her usual cheerful voice to assure me that all went well. When I picked him up the next day, the staff took the time to thoroughly explain what I needed to do to take care of him. AND then when I panicked a few days later and thought he might need to come in, the staff again took the time to listen to my panicked rant and soothed and calmed me, yet again :) The best. Too pricey! Not knowledgeable. I boarded my dog here and they called me to tell me she was sick with a possible infection. Turns out she was just in heat - the kennel helper said that he HAD NOT seen an intact female before. For our yearly checkup I asked for the heartworm pill with the flea prevention in it. They told me they hadn't heard of that. My friend has a dog about the same size on that medication. I think it was called Interceptor. Why didn't they know this? Personally, I think they wanted the money for the heartworm pills and more money for the flea prevention drops. My advice would be to go somewhere else. 5/18/2012 Dr. Helen called me after reading the original review the same week that I posted it. I'm not sure why she waited 6+ months to post a comment, but I still stand by my original comments. read more

This past year I became the biggest fan of Danada --- Dr Daily and EVERYONE at this clinic is beyond outstanding. Their practice is fear-free and WOW what a HUGE difference in the way any animal responds to being treated with care and compassion. They take the time needed to make it a totally positive experience and are so patient with my old dog, giving her time to just settle in before doing the exam. We took our cat here after he started throwing up for a day and half when we finally could get in somewhere. He hadn't eaten and hadn't had any water, was lethargic and constantly throwing up. We knew something was wrong and not acting himself. We handed our cat over for an examination and 10 minutes later the dr came out. He said he wasn't all that concerned, didn't feel anything in his stomach of concern, gave him a fluid shot and some anti nausea medicine and sent us home. Our cat continued to get worse and our gut said something was seriously off. We took him somewhere else the next day and he needed to be rushed into emergency surgery or he wouldn't make it through the night. He was severely dehydrated, abdomen bloated and wouldn't let anyone touch it. He is now still in the hospital and new complications are arising. The care we received was unacceptable and should have been more apparent to this dr given how sick he was. I'm not sure if this dr lacks the proper care needed to take care of sick patients or frankly just didn't care but we will never be going back and would never recommend to anyone. read more
