Wow, can't say enough good things about Rich.... despite not really working in the city, Rich first gave me lots of suggestions about what to look for to determine that I really had a squirrel issue, then when I followed his steps and found out that I did, he offered to come on the weekend to assess and see what he could do. After an inspection (he saw the squirrel huddled in the attic, which could only be reached by a two story climb and a walk on the steep part of my roof) Rich came up with an action plan and some backup plans....and then, in speaking to a neighbor, we realized that the problem was not going to be able to be addressed by any solution in my attic. Rich gave me suggestions on how to proceed and we did a walk around my block with him showing me exactly where the problem spots are. The cost for this? Nothing. He spent a good part of his Sunday morning stalking the squirrel, climbing up my steep roof, and sharing his knowledge on how to discourage the squirrels and wouldn't take any money because he--through no fault of his own--wouldn't be able to fix this issue. I really hope I can get the squirrel issue managed...and I hope even more that I don't get any worse kind of critter issues. But it's really nice to have someone honest, friendly, and competent to turn to when the outside critters decide to come in. read more

I have had a problem in my attic for YEARS that started with squirrels and ended with racoons. They may be cute as hell, but boy do they cause some damage! After looking around, I stumbled across Veteran Wildlife Control. I sent them over an e-mail and they were quick to respond! We set up a time and they came on over and were not only able to rescue the baby racoons, but they were able to get the mom too! It turns out the animals were getting in through a malfunctioning attic fan, so not only did he block off the attic fan for us, but he also gave us advice as to what we should do once we have the whole fixture replaced and the wiring repaired, which is my next house project! He also gave advice on something else he noticed too that was unrelated to the animals altogether, which I appreciated because I never would have noticed the issue otherwise. I took that as him actually caring about my home as opposed to just doing the job and getting out, which meant a lot to me. Him and his associate were friendly, neat, knowledgeable, and careful, and while I hope I never have to use their services again, if I do then they will be the first people I call. Thanks again, Rich and Cletus! read more

Are you still in business? I left a voicemail and reservation request on website Friday, 02.26.2021- no one responded.

Called these guys again with a different pest control issue and he recommended another professional who was better qualified to help us out! We called them and got the help we needed right away. Can't say enough for this company! read more

Hats off to Rich! On three seperate ocassions, my security camera captured a raccoon scaling the brick wall and later descending the wall of my home. After the last camera capture, I did a ground inspection and noticed a loose flashing blowing in the breeze on my roof. This was cause for concern so I did a Google search and discovered that Veteran Wildlife Control serviced my neighborhood. After explaining what the camera had captured and what I observed from the ground, Rich came to my rescue. He discovered that there had been attempted entry and quickly made the repair in addition to future deterrent suggestions. Thank you Rich. Keep up the great work! read more

Veteran Wildlife is awesome! My husband and I discovered that a raccoon family had taken up residence in our attic. Luckily, Rich from Veteran Wildlife was able to come to the rescue. He was able to trap the mother and also rescue the five babies that were in the wall, along with completing the repairs to keep new families from moving in. Rich was consistently quick to respond to messages, put in a lot of time trapping and repairing, and always had new ideas to solve our raccoon issue. Though I'm hoping not to have raccoons in my house again, I would definitely call Veteran Wildlife and will recommend them to anyone with a pest problem. read more

I called Rich on a Saturday morning after hearing things in one of our upstairs bedrooms. He answered the call and he let me know that he was really busy and gave me some ideas of what I could do myself to diagnose the situation. He said he'd try to stop by if he had a chance. So using his ideas, I figure out that we didn't really have the situation we thought we might (bats). Regardless, by mid-afternoon he dropped by and walked around the property. Long story short, Rich stopped by when he didn't need to. He clearly cares about what he does. I highly recommend you reach out to him if you have some unwelcome furry guests. read more

Remember the crocodile hunter? How about the dog whisperer? Well you can call Rich the Raccoon Hunter, or the Raccoon Whisperer! I'm telling you, he walks into your house, and it's as if the raccoon's have seen a long lost friend, he's the Pied Piper of Chicago!!!! I didn't even want to write a review, because I wanted him to be available if I have to call him again! He walked into my house, went to the attic, found EXACTLY where the mom and baby raccoons were at. He went outside, then stuck his hand in the soffit, and pulled out 6 babies!!! My mouth is still hanging open because I cannot believe what I am going to pay if i have no more critters trying to get into my attic!!!!! Rich Is an angel and the lady that was w/him yesterday. I hope I never have to use Rich again but, in the event that I do I am happy to know that there is someone out there not trying to take advantage of others. Thanks Rich and the lady that was w/him making sure the squirrels did not get him whiline he was working. I pray that his business continues to grow. Kim D Chi-Town read more

We found ourselves looking for a pest control company today after discovering what sounded like raccoons in our attic. Veteran was able to come out to the house this afternoon, and worked to find the animal, which they did, get it out of the attic humanely, and then perform the necessary repairs/improvements to the point where the raccoon entered the house, making sure there won't be a repeat visitor. They were a professional team, respectful of the premises, and used state of the art equipment and technique to perform the removal. And their price was competitive. I would recommend them if you need help getting rid of any unwanted guests, with the possible exception of in-laws. read more

Rich is a true professional. I heard critter noises coming from inside the wall of my house in Beverly, Chicago. I called Rich and he got back to me right away. It turned out to be a mice problem, and Rich gave me detailed guidance on exactly how to solve the issue. He examined the perimeter of our home to find potential entry spots. Rich is extremely knowledgeable, genuine, and trustworthy. I will definitely be calling him with my future wildlife control needs! read more

Called them when a snake gave birth in my basement. Snakes were DOA, but I wanted to ensure no repeat deliveries. Veterans came out right away, identified and eliminated possible points of entry. They were affordable and the only such service willing to come to my southwest side home. Very cool guys. Recommend. read more

I called Veteran Wildlife because I have a mama possum and her babies living under my deck. I spoke with Rich, and he was more than willing to come out and "take my money," however, he advised that I would be better off trying a few things on my own. He offered some great suggestions and told me to call him if I still wanted him to come out. Really, did I just speak to an ethical, honest businessman? I sure did! This number is being saved in my contacts ASAP. : ) read more

I HIGHLY recommend this company! Very professional, communication is great, answered all questions/concerns, reasonably priced and within a couple hours, had all 4 raccoons (the Mama and her 3 babies) out of the attic space and patched up the roof where they were getting in. Great job Rich! read more

Called several other companies, no callbacks before finding Veterans Wildlife. He called back shortly after leaving a message. I explained my issue with noises coming from the chimney, he gave me several suggestions as to how to do it myself but I felt uncomfortable doing them. He said he'd come out later that same day. He inspected the abandoned chimney and found nothing in there but went ahead & covered the opening so no critters do get in there. Rich also found raccoon droppings on the roofline. He couldn't find any openings where they might be getting inside anywhere on the roof and felt we did hear the raccoons racing across the roof at night. I'm writing this review one week later to make sure the problem went away and it did. Rich was very knowledgeable about his work and I would highly recommend him to any friends and family. Also very reasonable. read more

My neighborhood has a horrible raccoon problem because one of my neighbors thinks it's cute to feed them at night... One of the raccoon families made their home in a tree overlooking our deck and because these raccoons have been domesticated, they were getting way too close to my family. We called Veteran Wildlife and they came out the same day to set traps. They got one adult on Friday and another on Saturday. Then Sunday morning they called because they suspected the female they caught Saturday had been nursing. Sure enough he found 4 babies still in the tree on Sunday, and removed them at no extra charge. I can't recommend Veteran Wildlife Control strongly enough. They did a great job, and really went above and beyond. read more

Rich is great at what he does! For me,he was great at locating the corpse of a dead possum under my deck. He pulled out the gross creature while having a great sense of humor about it. He also charged a very fair price and arrived quickly on the scene. read more

I called Rich at Veteran Wildlife Control after finding that a squirrel had built a nest in my attic. He came out the very next day as promised, removed the nest, and by tapping on the wood, scared the squirrel out. Then he installed a one-way trap just to make sure the squirrel was gone. A few days later as agreed, he returned and put metal slashing on the dormer -- all for a terrific price. Rich not only provides a terrific service at a great price, but he has a wonderful personality. If I ever find anymore critters in the house or garage, I will call Rich! read more

Pretty sure Rich was raised by raccoons. The first company we called couldn't get the job done in 11 days. It took Rich less that 24 hours. He was also hilarious and charged less than he could have. read more

This really is a great company! We had a raccoon move into our attic, and worry my mom, my daughter, and it kept me up at night. Rich was great about giving us advice upfront and he knows his stuff. He and his team then came out and did a great job tracking down the raccoon's entry point into our home, and then he quickly and successfully trapped the racoon. Great job and highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend this service. Rich (the owner) is reliable and on time, and followed through exactly as he said he would. He proposed a couple of alternatives to get rid of the raccoon(s) in my attic, and proceeded accordingly. His prices are very fair, and he didn't ask for money until the job was done. It is clear that he genuinely cares about his work and his customers and is not just out to make a quick buck. He is personable and professional with a great sense of humor, and was a pleasure to do business with. read more

Owner was extremely knowledgeable and nice. Spent a long time on the phone with me helping to determine whether I had an issue or not. Veteran Wildlife Control is the BEST!!! Look no further. Rich, the owner, is a super nice guy who really knows his stuff. I called him to remove a raccoon from the eve of my house. As I mentioned Rich is a nice guy who will give you a fair price for doing a superior job! I was very happy with his service. read more

We are now without 3 raccoons in our attic, thanks to Rich. He returned calls immediately and was very knowledgeable and thorough. He made an aggravating situation bearable with his gadgets and know-how. He was positive and reassuring about everything we questioned and he's a really nice guy! While we would have paid anything to get rid of those critters (and we have in the past), Rich's fee was reasonable and worth the job extremely well done! read more

We heard something up in the crawl space above our kitchen ceiling and unfortunately found out it was a raccoon, I searched around for someone who could help and was happy to see there was not only someone out there - but that someone had great reviews. Veteran Wildlife Control - a prayer answered. What a relief. Rich set up and appointment and arrived on time. He is friendly, knowledgeable and takes his time in assessing the issue. It was a scorching hot day, but there he was, up on the ladder peering into the gaping hole in our fascia into the coon's new nesting place. Because of the heat, he didn't see or hear anything, but triple checked to make sure no one was there and covered up the entry hole. We waited a few weeks and no further sounds - we had the permanent repairs made and so far so good. After my positive experience with Rich, I would highly recommend him. read more

It's no fun at all to figure out you have a critter problem in the soffits around your roof. I called Veteran Wildlife Control after seeing reviews and I am so glad I did. Rich knows exactly what he is doing. He's professional and beyond helpful. He called and came when he said he would, every single time. We had a raccoon up there. He knew when and where we would hear noises. He had a plan and knows exactly what he is doing. He covered up the entry hole and a couple other places that needed to be covered that I wouldn't have even noticed. Made repairs that were needed to solve the problem and was very helpful in helping us so that it doesn't happen again. He was up front on fees and I thought it was very reasonable. Not exactly what you want to spend money on, however, the alternative isn't too great either. I too hope I never have to use him again but won't hesitate to call if I do. And I will recommend him to anyone, anytime. It's a pleasure to write a good review for a business that so deserves it! read more
