I highly recommend calling Ampest for any exterminating/wildlife control needs. I first contacted them to see if they could help me out with a wildlife control issue. The woman I spoke to didn't think they could, but took the time to look into it and even sent someone out for a second opinion. The technician confirmed that they wouldn't be able to resolve the problem, but gave me a couple suggestions on what I could do. The exterminator came out and determined that a squirrel had built a nest on one side of the roof. He climbed up on top of the roof (this is a three story apartment building) to set traps and came back every day for a week until he caught the mother squirrel and all the babies. He took the squirrels out to one of the suburbs to release them (apparently it's illegal to kill them). He also sealed up the hole where the squirrel had come in as well as another hole on the other side of the building. He was very thorough and took care of everything. AMPEST is really good. Over a 10 day period, they trapped 11, yes, eleven squirrels. The roof top traps were checked every day. The first 2 squirrels were captured within an hour of set up. In addition, these guys blocked the gaping hole in our soffit until we could get roofers to make repairs when ice and snow thawed. Their service doesn't come cheap, about $1,000 for us; but, they were up front about their fee structure and the job was well done. No more squirrels waking us up with scratching noises at 3 am. These are true professionals who care about getting the job done right. They pulled two baby raccoons out of an interior wall they had fallen into. So another company referred me to Ampest because I thought I had a chipmunk problem and they don't do wildlife. After a long conversation with the lady at Ampest, they sent someone out. Turned out to be mice - gross. So Joe came and explained everything to me, answered my probably dumb questions and (my favorite part) put up with my dog and my 3 year old son who follows service people around my house and interrogates them. He did not show a single sign of being annoyed by either of them following him around. January 2018 squirrels got into our attic chewing holes in facia and soffit. John worked with me to strategically close all egress points before trying to close holes made by squirrels. Once all possible egress closed, then traps and paper over squirrel holes set to determine when the squirrels were out. 2 squirrels were captured and holes created by them were closed (by me). Ampest sent out their technician Jeff to inspect the attic, Jeff informed my daughter that birds nesting the attic could be a severe health risk for the Home. I had a problem with raccoons getting into my attic. I called Ampest and spoke with Dan, the owner. He said he would send his best employee, Rob and within two hours Rob was at my door. He located the source of entry, put three traps around the outside of the house and came back faithfully everyday for six days until he caught the raccoons. I was terrified and Rob did everything possible to calm me down. He went above and beyond the call of duty to get rid of these horrible creatures. Because of Rob and Ampest, my home is now free of raccoons and I can finally stop being terrified in my own home. This was the best money I have ever spent, and their prices are very reasonable, so it made it affordable for me to use their services. I called and spoke with a very nice young lady by the name of Jane to find out if some squirrels could be removed from my property of which they were getting into my walls via a small hole on the side of the house. They were reasonably affordable. They sent a great employee by the name of Nicholas and this young man really knows his job! He was kind, courteous and friendly. He was was on time doing his job and was very determined to catch those pesty squirrels. He was able to catch a family of squirrels.
