HAVE YOUR CAR INSPECTED BY A 3RD PARTY BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!! AND CHECK FOR RUST! check roters and undercarriage for rust, please!! Don't be like me and ignore red flags, especially if the car is from a snowy state that uses a lot of salt on the roads. Most of their inventory is from northern states and Florida. Salt and rust. I just bought a 2016 Honda Accord from VC and the second day I drove the car, I heard grinding on the drivers side wheel. So today I took the car in to Honda. They did a multi point and found I needed a full brake service, new rotors (rusted), and new tires. There is some rust on the undercarriage but it's not terrible, thank God. The car is from New York which was a red flag I ignored. The salt did a number on the car. I think the prices are so comparable because they get their inventory from northern states and Florida. They know most of these cars are going to need work. All of the cars I looked at had a significant amount of cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, curbed wheels, and broken plastic pieces. My biggest concern is that they knew the car needed a lot of work when they sold it to me as indicated by the inspection they had done at honda prior to the sale. However, three of the staff, Richard, "Doc," and Walter all assured me "all hondas have been inspected by Honda and given a clean bill of health." But what they dont tell you is they take them to Honda, honda tells them all the work that needs to be done, then VC MAY take the car to their 3rd party mechanic. In my case, it was never taken to their mechanic. So they sold me a car with virtually no breaks as a car cleared by Honda. When I questioned them about this FRAUDULENT practice, Walter told me he had to speak with the owner... the owner never showed and only texted Walter back, "as is." In the end, you'll end up paying for the repairs anyways and get a dud car. I just spent $1500 on rust repairs. I should have known better. UPDATE: In fact, they knew the brake pads were either gone or worn within 1mm and the roters needed to be grinded or replaced. The sale people all said Hondas are inspected by Honda but what they dont tell you, is they dont do any work on the cars other than change the oil and a couple filters, regardless of the urgency of the other repairs. This is negligent and fraudulent to tell your customers they are inspected by Honda without mentioning no one has worked on the grocery list of problems with the car. Again, FRAUDULENT and NEGLIGENT. Absolutely zero integrity. I would have been much better off buying a certified used Honda read more

I am sure I have now bought a couple of dozen cars in my life. Have never had a sales experience (this may sound like BS but it is not) this pleasant. Didn't have to interact with the finance guy, so I can speak about him, but the other people there were really low key/no pressure. We dealt with Doc, but I heard other people on the phone and dealing with customers. It was kind of like the old movie Miracle on 34th Street. A bit - if we have it, we want to sell it to you, but if we don't, if we can help, we'll do it. And, I believe they are sincere and in it for the long term. (Even if you don't buy from us now, we'll treat you well enough that hopefully you'll come back next time) They don't do any type of repairs there, but Doc pointed out a knock and said what he thought it might be. HAVE YOUR OWN MECHANIC CHECK THE VEHICLE BEFORE BUYING!!! I purchase a used Subaru from this dealer and stated that I wanted to have my mechanic check it first. The salesman showed me a receipt from Troncalli Subaru where they had sent it for some recalls and an oil change. He represented that the car had been inspected. They next day I made some tight turns with the car and noticed a lod thumping coming from the drive train. I took it to my mechanic and he identified the problem as a viscous coupling in the transmission. He also stated that any fundamental inspection would have found this issue. I didnt notice at the time of purchase but 3 out of 4 tires were bald (Partially my fault but as a business why not try and make a customer happy). When I asked the manager (Walter) for help in resolving this issue with either some slightly used tires or discounted new ones, I was told "not my problem the purchase is complete". As a slap in the face he even offered to sell me some over-market priced tires. I think if you pay 60k for a car from a dealer the least you can be is fair and decent enough to not hide damage to cars to get a sale and then lie about where the car derived from at your lot. My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Versatile Collection early last month. It started out as a fine experience. We worked with a salesman named Sulaiman "Doc" who was friendly and made the process seem easy. Our issues started after the purchase process began and ended up being awful! I feel that it is important to let future purchasers know the people at the Alpharetta office are incompetent at correctly completing paperwork because it ended up costing us a lot of time driving back and forth to correct their mistakes, and it almost cost us a lot of money. Their mistakes included: 1. The trim level was listed wrong on our initial bill of sale, so it had to be redone. 2. After the purchase, our bank noticed the VIN was incorrect on all paperwork. We had to void our original check and waste time at the bank having them cut us a new one. We also had to completely redo our sale with Versatile Collection, which took an hour and a half. 3. They calculated our sales tax wrong and let us know after the purchase was completed that we still owed money. More on that: About four days after our purchase was when I got a TEXT (in my opinion extremely unprofessional) saying that there was an issue with how our car taxes were calculated and we actually still owed the dealership $525. What?!? I spoke with the store manager Walter and he was nice enough, but he kept insisting the mistake was due to computer error. In looking back, it may have been, but it should have been very obvious to them while processing our purchase. (Did they even proofread the sales documents?) At first they threatened to hold our title until we paid in full, but then we went back and forth with Walter about who should pay and how much. While dealing with Walter, I then got a phone call from our original salesman, Doc. We had not been dealing with him anymore so I was confused why he was calling at first but then it became obvious his only intention for calling was to patronize me. He said to me over and over again in our conversation, "I hope you feel good about yourself mam, this is coming out of my pocket" and "congratulations mam on finding a loophole around paying." It was quite a 180 from the bubbly demeanor he had just a few days earlier. All of this makes me wonder if they really are THAT bad at paperwork or if this type of thing is some sort of tactic for getting people to buy cars at lower price points and then coming back at them for more money when the dealership knows they're too far in, plus holding the title as a means of leverage. Either way, my advice to anyone looking for a car here is to RUN. Doc said multiple times during our dealings in person that he'd love if we left him a review. Will not recommend VC for first time buyers.I had bought Toyota Camry 2017 LE from Versatile Collection recently. I saw their deal through Carfax and travelled all the way from Memphis to Atlanta for the deal.Before buying I was told by the salesperson Mickey that the tires put in the car are brand new. Believing this information and trusting all the reviews I saw in website, I went and bought the car without checking the age of the tires. Got extremely disappointed when I start getting the tire pressure indication in dashboard and upon checking I was informed that the tires needs to be changed as they are four years old.Even after expressing my concern to the dealer that I have been falsely misguided on the tires, I am not being helped here. Nice enough salesman however the lot's car collection is not the best quality. Sure the cars are good looking, polished and all that good stuff. But you must be informed consumers and take a peek under the hood. It doesn't take a car specialist to spot rust. The two cars that I test drove had definite signs of rust. One was from one of the northern states and likely exposed to snow on a regular basis. I certainly wouldn't buy a car there just based from the fact that they are willing to sell a car that has rust. And I certainly wouldn't buy a car from there without having a mechanic with a lift (not just a guy with a flashlight) to hoist it on to take a good look at it. There's a reason why some of their cars don't sell. Firstly because they usually overpriced when they first put them up for sale and secondly because of the quality. Don't be a sucker, do your legwork and get a car throughly inspected before signing on the dotted line; cause once you do there's no going back. read more

My finance company and I have been going back and forth with them for these 10 months and i've heard more BS than should be allowed. Never again would I buy from this place. Terrible experience. I bought a car two and a half years ago front the Marietta showroom that has since closed down but this address is on all of my original paperwork from the purchase. Long story short they still have not provided the title to the vehicle. I initially registered the vehicle in Florida with a reassignment application they provided. I discovered shortly after purchasing it they never sent the title. I have been going back and forth with them since 2017 trying to get the title. At one point they told me it had been sent and I thought it was taken care of. Most recently I moved back to Georgia and tried to register the car here only to discover they never sent the title. Now I have not been able to drive the car for two months. Walter and Chris from the title department have given me the run around countless times. I have had to make arrangements for other transportation. Any excitement of purchasing a car has turned into a total nightmare trying to get them to fulfill their obligation of providing title. read more

Every car I saw on the lot was immaculate, and the two I drove were in excellent condition. It appears that many of these are lease-return cars, 2-3 years old, that have been very well cared for. I bought a 2013 VW Passat that looks and drives like a new automobile. And on top of that, their prices are very reasonable--and consistently lower than the major brand dealers. I researched a lot of cars and drove quite a few in the Atlanta area; VC Cars has the nicest selection and the value is hard to beat. It is hard to find a good used car that one can feel comfortable with and good about buying. VC Cars makes that possible. read more

I realized I never wrote a review when I purchased my car less than 6 months ago from Versatile Collection. I was so happy with my purchase and how friendly the staff was. I've never been one to purchase a car on impulse but the 2013 BMW 535i I purchased was just beautiful and VC was a preferred dealer by my lender. Fast forward 6 months and I am SO thankful that I purchased the highest warranty package available and I have found a great mechanic who noticed a small oil leak on my car and started doing some investigating, combing through my entire car with a fine tooth comb. I paid quite a bit for this car (wasn't a steal by any means), it had around 67k miles, and at my first oil change I find out there is $3k in repairs needed for my car!!! My fault for not having the car checked when I purchased it but I was made to believe this car had been reconditioned before resale as with every other vehicle I have ever purchased. The 60k and 65k mile services were not even done to this car. This was my first car not from a big name dealership and it will be my last. Car came with a busted oil cooler and filter housing, broken valve cover and gasket, busted ball joints and struts, and broken control arms. For the price I paid for the car, these should not have been issues. Be careful when you sign that "sold as is" agreement. If you do buy here, add the top warranty package. Lesson learned. For many years I have only purchased my automobiles from major dealerships. I needed to purchase a commuter car for work. I saw a very nice 2014 Honda Odyssey online at Versatile Collection and made an inquiry. Alex Pham responded very promptly and answered all of my questions (which were many!!) I went to test drive and he was not pushy, he just wanted to make sure that I found the right vehicle. While there I noticed a 2015 Toyota Prius (I know, total opposite!). I asked if I could see and drive it. I was not looking for that type of vehicle...and unfortunately the Van I drove did not have all of the options that I wanted. He tried to find a Van with everything I wanted but was unsuccessful. Discouraged I decided to leave...with absolutely NO PRESSURE from Alex. He ASKED if he could follow up with me, and I consented. After looking at several awful Honda Odyssey's elsewhere, I kept re-thinking the Prius. In the meantime, Alex respectfully followed up with me. After going to yet another disappointing Odyssey test drive, Alex happened to call me...I went that day and purchased the Prius! He even had a customer call him during my visit saying they were on their way, but he made sure that I was his top priority. I am so thankful for such a great experience! I purchased a 2013 Chevy Camaro from VC. Let me start by saying the car is in amazing shape. When my BF and I looked at the car we noticed the trunk button inside the car didn't work nor the keyless entry, We were told the key had a bad battery (WRONG). The key had been through a recall and was removed. So I enden up spending 85.00 on a key from Chevy the next day. My salesman was fairly new, Chris, he talked way too much and didn't know a thing about the car. It made me feel like they were just sticking us with someone. He couldn't answer a question clearly, had to keep leaving to get answers. None of his fellow team came to talk to us about it. The waiting was dreadful, they didn't even have sense enough to say we are working on it.This car is my dream car and they made my buying experience awful!! I even had to beg them to put gas in the car. I was completely upset. The only thing that made me happy was I got the car I wanted. I could also hear laughing and talking from other salesman but no one with us. I will only recommend them if, you did your own research and already know about the car you want. FRAUD! No integrity no honesty. Be aware 2014 Acura MDX VIN 5FRYD3H48EB006667 HAS HAIL DAMAGE ( check the roof). They hide behind Carfax that is not always accurate. I live 4 hours away so I called for the SUV and spoke to the owner who assured me the vehicle is clean and no history of damage no dents or dings and paint is great looking . So I purchased the SUV that initially looked good. and after a day of driving 2 ways I parked the car in my garage. Next morning I was able to look at the roof from stairs and saw HAIL DAMAGE ( there were other issues too like missing spear tire and tools and broken side mirror but I will only talk about the main fraud). Then a body shop confirmed hail damage around the vehicle that was smoothed and buffed ( they either forgot about the roof or cost too much to fix and thought the SUV is high enough that no one would see it). The dealer denied the damage first but when confronted they admitted it. The GM said he does not care what damage the vehicle has they sell as is. Well sir even with an "as is sale" lying to customers about conditions of a car is a fraud but of course hard to prove because they just claim no knowledge of the damage. They defrauded me and then in fear of lawsuit they took the car back "because I would def have sued for an almost $30k luxury SUV " but of course they charged me excessive fees and my personal expenses.took my down payment. They would not give me my $993 back ( I am still thinking if I should sue for that). In addition I lost 2 days of work and over $500 of other expenses including gas, cab ride to airport and a flight back from Atlanta to Charlotte after returning the vehicle. Read other negative reviews, they all talk about fraud and cheating and damage. They are experts at exploiting loopholes of the law and lie about history of vehicles .
