This review is for Raul, in particular. I had read sour reviews on here prior to my visit so I had my defenses up. I went in during my lunch break to get information on trading in my phone and getting a new one. I was veryy reluctant to do so because I didn't want to get rid of my iphone mini. I was admittedly in a bad mood. He was very kind and patiently took his time walking me through the process and explaining my millions of questions. I was very hesitant to renew for my own personal reasons and was even skeptical of his intentions, but he kindly walked me through the pros and cons of either choice. In the end, I renewed my contract and am thankful to Raul for his willingness to treat me respectfully and kindly despite my hostility. My experience as a customer at the Verizon location store in Yonkers, store S E49301. I was billed for extra phone lines that were added without my consent or acknowledgment. A customer purchased two phones at the Verizon store in Yonkers (Store S E49301, 2586 Central Park Ave.). The customer expected one line per phone, as clearly documented on the invoice/order summary. However, the store associate, Nyiah, added two extra lines without the customer's knowledge, resulting in billing for four lines for nearly a year. When the customer called Verizon Customer Care to dispute the charges, they were informed that retail store associates sometimes receive incentives per line added, which may explain why these extra two lines were activated without consent. For 11 months, the customer experienced repeated service disconnections, was locked out of online billing, and no representative properly investigated the account--until December 8, 2025, when one agent finally acknowledged the unauthorized lines. The customer lives out of state and could not return to the store, leaving them entirely dependent on Verizon support. Verizon must remove the unauthorized lines and refund all charges. Under federal telecommunications regulations, this is classified as cramming--a form of telecom fraud prohibited by the FCC and state regulators. Your store is responsible for correcting this issue immediately. read more

This is the 2nd time I have visited the Verizon store on Central Park Ave in Yonkers. My mom was having an issue w her new iPhone. As soon as you walk in, staff greeted me & asked me to check in at the kiosk. They were busy but a pregnant staff member came out from back of the store to assist. I remember meeting her the first time I visited store. She was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I appreciated her helping my mom and being patient with her. Instead of trying to help me with poor Verizon connectivity (1 or 2 bars tops for days), the smug employee told me I needed to buy a new phone and a new service plan. He actually told me that Verizon cuts back on connectivity if you have an older plan because they want you to buy a new plan. Say what? I have an idea for Verizon - get rid of the 4 employees in this Verizon Store who are doing nothing except playing with their own phones. I'm not even sure why Verizon has stores because their employees are never able or qualified to help you with anything. (1) There is no phone number listed for this store, it's just the Verizon 800 #, which I called twice to find out how to go about transferring a family member's line to my account. They told me to bring a death certificate to a company store and mentioned this one. I drove 30 minutes with all the paperwork. (2) Within 10 seconds of walking into the store the employees were DELIGHTED to tell me they could not help me so they could get back to not working. They gave me a completely different # to call. Why did the two original operators not mention this?! Eventually, after 40 minutes on a bench, I was able to accomplish what I had been told was a "simple" task that I could have done from home. So Verizon made me drive to a store to get a phone number. I do not understand why the stores and the operators seem to have completely different information on how their company works, or why I can't actually call anyone who is actually IN the store to get basic instructions. I shouldn't be working harder to pay Verizon than the people paid BY Verizon. read more

VERIZON'S DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AND DREADFUL CUSTOME SERVICE If you are considering using VERIZON mobile service, please be aware of my experience and think twice about it. Since, I switched to Verizon, three months ago, I have experienced multiple rate increases, mishandling of credits and promotions, and abysmal customer service. Here is my experience: In mid-June 2023, my family and I decided to switch from T-Mobile to Verizon. We were promised a rate of $185 monthly for five phone, that we could trade in our 5 T-Mobile phones for 5 Verizon phones (4 Samsung Galaxy S23 Pluses and 1 iPhone 14) and receive credit for the phones and $200 for each in Verizon rewards and receive two free Samsung Galaxy watches and activate two lines for $5 each. Prior to switching, two agents assured us that the monthly rate for all the lines transferred would be about $185 a month. A third agent I talked to when I received a higher bill, even gave me slightly a lower monthly amount, around $182, and assured me he would fix the billing error. Transferring the phone numbers took several trips to a Verizon store and calls to customer service because of the poor instructions received to transfer the numbers. But it seemed like we had finally made the transfer. After I received and activated the new phones, in mid/late June 2023, following Verizon's instructions, I shipped our 5 old T-Mobile phones within the box the company provided, with the UPS label it received, attached to the box. All of the five phones had been shipped together and Verizon received the box with them. Nevertheless, weeks later, Verizon informed me that one phone was missing and it refused to credit me for the phone. I do not have the phone in my possession. I shipped with the other four phones Verizon acknowledges the receipt. If, in fact, one phone was missing, it was not my responsibility, but either Verizon's who received the phones or UPS's who delivered them. Since Verizon hired UPS, and I just dropped the box at UPS in Westchester County, NY, there is no way I can investigate the matter or be responsible for its disappearance. Several agents I contacted stated that the phone was likely lost in their warehouse. One of them, who identified himself as Michael, after a two-hour call, assured me that he located the tracking number, confirmed that Verizon received all the five phones. However, he said, one of them had a description of having a 128 GB memory and the actual memory was 256 GB. Because of this discrepancy in information, the receipt of the phone was not processed. Michael promised to escalate the matter with detailed information about what had happened and said it would be resolved within three business days. Like similar promises I received to that the matter would be resolved, it never was. I also filed a complaint before Verizon Executive Relations. The complaint received the number CASE 297781 and was assigned to Executive Relations Marshall. I have countless times called and emailed Marshall. He never takes or returns my calls or replies to my emails. Meanwhile, as aforementioned, I was promised a monthly rate around $185 for all lines to switch to Verizon. The first bill I received was $497.88. The second totaled $245.69. The third bill was $317.54. Verizon App currently informs me that my new monthly bill would be $247,27. Out of nowhere, Verizon, without my knowledge and permission, has changed my plan to one that does not include promotional credits and is about 60% higher than the $185 rate I was told by three agents. I have spent close to 40 hours, talking to numerous Verizon agents, as well as with two supervisors, Tyler (who hung up on me) and Lis, trying to adjust the bill to what I was told it would be. Despite Verizon's multiple promises to correct the issue, it never did. It actually keeps changing and increasing my bills, every month. The two last agents I talked to, Rodrigo (on 09/08/23) and Joyce (on 09/09/23), said they could not tell me what my monthly rate is. Lis, Joyce's supervisor, (on 09/09/73) said that she could see in the records of my calls that I was promised a rate of $185. However, he said she could honor that rate. In addition, she could not inform me what my monthly rate actually is. Whatever estimate she would provide me, she said, it would be a rough one, and it could be different than what we would actually be charged. Now, I would like to cancel Verizon's service due to its deceptive business practices, negligent handling of my property, and its continued disregard for me as a customer. For this, Verizon has stated it will charge me $5466 to cancel (no guarantee, it could be less or more). This is outrageous and wrong. Changing my mobile services to Verizon was one of the biggest mistakes I have done and one of the most dreadful experiences I have had. It is a deceitful company, that does not honor its word, misinform the customers, and provide abysmal customer service. read more

Nice store. Hard for me to rate any phone carrier location high since they are all high priced and full of games, but this review is more based off the actual in store as well as the staff. As far as carrier go, I've had them all and they all are horrid in some capacity, but Verizon was always the best of the bunch to me so I decided to return from the wretched Sprint to the open arms of Verizon. I usually had always went to Best Buy to handle the switches or whatnot, but this is the first time I went to an actual Verizon location. As mentioned, I usually go to Best Buy to handle my new contracts or switches. This time however, Sprint had did something to make it difficult for me to leave (and they were difficult the very first week 2 years ago....so think about that one and how they are), so I walked a little ways away to here and they were able to handle the switch back with no issues and I still got to keep my nearly 2 decades cell numbers. Inside is neat, clean, spacious, and well laid out. The actual store is very large compared to what I've seen in the past. The staff member was able to help me and answer all my questions and/or concerns. They have plenty of options and of course accessories for their phones, but you could probably do better price wise elsewhere or online. Located in a large shopping plaza, there is plenty of parking - just be cautious of horrid parkers and drivers who frequent this plaza. Say what you will about Verizon as they aren't cheap and I've had my issues in the past as well - but when all things are considered for major carriers (and again, I've had them all), I had the least amount of problems and the best overall service with them. So glad to be back in a way and I know where to go for any and all needs with them. read more

I normally get a new phone every 2 years or so, however the timing was always horrible because it was always during the peak release time of a new generation of iPhone. It was always a hassle; either I would have no luck finding stock in the stores, would have to wait forever in queue, or have my phone stolen while being shipped to my house (that was a fun one). I would always get my phones through Apple directly which I didn't mind. However, a few weeks ago I went with my father to this Verizon store to upgrade his phone and was so impressed by the service that I decided to see what they could do for me. This Verizon store is relatively new, it's probably been open less than a year. While it's not as big as the nearby Hartsdale location, it has a very open feel. What's nice is that because they're a newer location, I don't feel they're as busy yet as an established store - the two times I went were on Saturdays and it wasn't crowded at all. Anyway, after establishing I was eligible for an upgrade we went through all the motions and within 15 minutes or so I was out the door with a new phone. When I went with my dad we were serviced by Angelo who was awesome - he was thorough, patient, and professional. When I went on my own I had this woman who was pretty good, though I felt slightly rushed. For example, I wanted to trade in my phone and activate my new one in-store and she began to give me instructions on how to do it at home and mail out my own phone. I know from experience though, that can be done on-site, and I found it weird I wasn't offered that first. Overall, I'm happy with this Verizon store. I don't think choosing the Apple store or Verizon matters when it comes to deals, because they're gonna get you either way. What makes the difference here is service, and especially at this location you can get taken care of quickly in a calmer environment - something we all know is rare at any Apple store. read more

Horrible customer service! The lady who attempted to serve me absolutely sucked. She was nasty and rude and unwilling to genuinely help because I was newly no longer a Verizon customer, I however still had a billing issue that I needed to be taken care of. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because I walked in here on Friday afternoon around 430pm maybe 10 days before Christmas and I was immediately tended to. Most Verizon places they put you on a wait list. The gentleman who attempted to help me was very pleasant, but when couldn't any longer, and my issue was guided toward the Hispanic woman (who I believe he said was the manager) I almost left with a blemished fist haha! I needed a replacement for my non-functioning cell phone so I made an appointment at the Yonkers Verizon store. Now, I am not that tech savvy (is being a senior citizen an excuse?) and fortunately I was helped by a young man named Courteney Allen. He did as much of the transferring to my new phone as time allowed, he offered me tips, and was helpful in finding me appropriate accessories. I purchased an Apple 12 iPhone directly from Verizon by phone. It was shipped by Federal Express and received in a couple days. I then went to a VERIZON CORPORATE STORE PER VERIZONS INSTRUCTIONS to have it set up. I was surprised that the salesman knew nothing about this promotion and said that I would have to confirm it all with Verizon. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the phone, setting it up, etc. but there was little interest in seeing if I could navigate this new phone. I wish that I could have worked with the woman Devika. I came back into the store later asking for help reaching a cab. The young man who had set up my phone ignored me totally while Devika went out of her way to help in whatever way she could. It's Devika that got the score up to "Good" I am still waiting for the supposedly e-mailed receipt for the 2 accessories I purchased at the store. read more

I took a leap of faith and went on Black Friday to get a new phone to my surprise this new store was a very pleasant experience. They were very efficient and the people moved through the line quickly I got email notifications the whole way through of where I stand in place and my technician who got my phone set it up quickly and gave me a good tutorial and how it worked period on Black Friday I got in and out of the store in 30 minutes kudos to the store read more

The other day I went into this store to replace my broken iPhone 6S with a brand new, just released iPhone 7 Plus. Having just moved to a new place for college, with pretty unfamiliar surroundings, I didn't know what to expect from this Verizon store. I can say, with absolute confidence, this was the best customer service experience I've ever been through. When I first walked into the store, I had five friends with me - or at least, five people I thought were friends. Within a minute of being in the store, they all ditched me because they decided they were hungry and needed Chipotle (sidebar: didn't even offer to bring me any). In new surroundings, and now alone, I was confused and scared, what do I do? I wandered aimlessly for many long minutes, playing games on phones, and setting off alarms on tablets. But, soon I was found. I was saved. I was... okay again. Cory the Solutions Specialist took me in and helped me begin my process of buying a spectacular new cellular telephonic device. He was absolutely wonderful. The most kind, helpful, and funny salesperson - nay, person - I've ever had the pleasure of coming into contact with in my long 18 years and 21 days of life. When I walked into that store I planned on buying a phone and a screen protector, end of story. When I walked out, I had a phone, insurance, case, screen protector, and a portable battery (the last three bundled for an insanely reasonable price of $90.00) and felt good about spending that money. The process was quick and painless despite me making him hurdle many hoops. When my "friends" came back, on full stomachs, all that was left to do was transfer my data from my old phone to the new one. The initial time given by the phone to do this was 45 minutes. which Cory told us. Upon hearing that, my acquaintance responds "That's so long! Can you speed it up?", very rude, yes I know. So I turn to her and say "He can't control it, don't yell at him!". Cory simply looks up and tells us "The time has decreased to 30 minutes", wow! Never in my life have I ever had a sales person literally bend the fabric of time to assist the customer, Cory is really something special. In the end, it probably didn't even take 30 minutes, but if it had, I would've been okay, because I would have been in the company of Cory the Solutions Specialist. To top it all off, at the end of the whole process, my now-ex friend asked Cory how long he'd been working at this Verizon store, the answer? 6 MONTHS. That's it! And he was already able to sell like a maniac, bend time, and provide a wonderful customer experience all at once. All in all, I just have to say, my life truly peaked with this trip to my local Verizon store, and it made losing my friends entirely worth it. Thank you Cory. read more
