I used to work at Verizon. My phone had broken to the best of my knowledge and I attempted every…read moretroubleshooting step I've ever learned. Somehow, this wizard of an employee performed what I can only describe as an act of voodoo and resurrected the phone. He lost a sale, sure but my god I will never go to another Verizon store now. He just saved me a 1000$ bill two days before my birthday. Absolute legend in my eyes, in reality he didn't even have to try and fix it - but within moments it was better again. Still not sure how, but come to this Verizon 100%

Having been a Verizon customer for 20+ years, I have always gotten the best deals and service…read more Rarely (if ever) have I or my family members made any complaints. But the attitudes and overall decorum of this store location that my mother and I encountered today was just abysmal and ruined our day. First of all, we entered and no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. We were hoping to get a new phone case that would fit my father's outdated I-phone 11. I knew we probably wouldn't come up with anything and that it would be too out of date, but we'd gotten multipurpose cases here before. We made our way over to the phone case area and it was a mess, there didn't seem to be a real order to anything, things were mismatched, etc. Then an employee walked past my mother and let out a loud, disgusting belch. A nearby customer, who was waiting for said Verizon employee to come back and attend to him, even responded in disgust and annoyance saying with immense sarcasm, "Charming." I then made my way over to an older gentleman employee, saying excuse me and apologizing if I was interrupting him as it looked like he was in the middle of helping someone/doing something on his tablet. Said gentleman rolled his eyes, huffed, and said in a deeply annoyed tone of voice, "What's up?" I asked if they had any cases that would fit an I-phone 11 and he interrupted me before I had time to finish my question and said, "We don't have that. It's too old and out of date. Happy Holidays." before going back to what he was doing. While I knew it was a long shot that we could get said case, I believe we could have been treated more kindly and that overall demeanors of the employees and the store could have been better and more professional. As a customer there for almost 20 years, this was very very disappointing and made my mother even consider switching service providers due to how everything went.

I'm not 1 to usually update my reviews, but I felt in this particular case, an update was in order…read more In my initial review, written several years ago, I described how I had to go through 2 other T-Mobile stores with negative results before I finally came to this Rockaway location and acquired the phone I wanted. In the years since then, I've become very dependent on the phone. I wanted it back then primarily as a camera, and it has worked wonderfully. I've gotten excellent pictures without necessarily knowing what I'm doing-- no need to bother with F-stops or Apertures or grey cards, etc. Easier, more satisfying results than I ever got with my old 35mm camera, and for much less money too. I don't have to buy expensive film or pay processing fees. I don't have to spend money on tripods or lamps or light diffuser panels. I can print hard-copy photos for not a lot of money or just save the photos in the "gallery" feature on the phone, and glance at them when I want to relive a pleasant memory or "visit" scenic places I've loved without actually having to travel there (in my old age, travel is a much more expensive and troublesome proposition). As a phone, my T-Mobile works fine. I can communicate via phone calls or texts wherever I happen to be (I can still remember vividly the days when I would have to walk miles after having my car break down in order to find a working pay phone booth, which I guess have gone the way of the dinosaur, so that I could summon a mechanic or AAA). I can go into Amazon, Ebay, Yelp, FB. I can "surf the web." My bills have been reasonable. I was late coming to the technology, but I've been an enthusiast about it ever since. Why the need for an update? Recently, I encountered what was, for me anyway, a crisis situation. It was early morning, the coffee hadn't kicked in yet, and I had a doctor's appointment later in the day. I was checking out the phone, and as I normally do while having that 1st cup of coffee, and suddenly realized that I couldn't utilize the "gallery" feature. I recognized that I was probably doing something stupid or was just fuzzy-headed from lack of caffeine, but I became increasingly frenetic as I tried bringing that feature back up. At 1 point, I went into the "Google store" to see if I needed to download something, and suddenly my screen was "locked" by an advertisement I couldn't get rid of. My frenetic anxiety turned into near-lunacy. I went to my laptop and discovered there was a T-Mobile store in Morristown. Like a semi-deranged madman, I drove out to what I thought was the address (probably unsafely), only to discover there was no T-Mobile store at the location. Or maybe I was reading the address wrong. I remembered the Hackettstown location, but my experience there back then had not been good, and I had no reason to think that it would have improved with the passage of the years. The Flemington location had been a shade better, but not by much. I thought of Rockaway finally but dreaded the drive through unfamiliar terrain during morning rush hour in a "less than calm, cool and collected" state of mind. But the phone wasn't going to fix itself, so I sped off in the direction of Rockaway. On Rt. 80, I got off at the wrong exit and had to work my way around through snarled traffic and aggressive drivers in order to return to the main highway. Finally, I got off at the correct exit (Dover) and my "muscle memory" belatedly kicked in, and I was able to find the strip mall that the T-Mobile store is a part of (across from the much larger Rockaway Mall, where I used to go to see "midnight movies" like "Mausoleum" and "Return of the Living Dead" way back when). Inside, a young T-Mobile associate greeted me, and as I babbled out my problem in what I'm sure translated itself to her as gibberish, I saw with a sinking feeling that her welcoming smile had transformed itself to an expression of dismay and bafflement. Another associate immediately came over, quickly determined what the problem was, and escorted me over to a table. As he worked on my phone, and the younger associate watched, he explained that older people oftentimes have problems such as mine. Then, thinking perhaps that he had inadvertently insulted or offended me, he started trying to apologetically explain himself, until I said, "Look, it's not a problem. I'm old. It's no mystery." In just a minute or 2, the issue was resolved. The maddening, ineradicable advertisement was gone, and my "gallery" feature was back, with my "precious" and some "not-so-precious" memories saved. I was grateful. They would accept no money or a tip. I've only been to this location twice, but each time they came through with flying colors. As I noted in my original review, that's certainly not true of other T-Mobile locations (Hackettstown in particular was an exercise in enraging frustration), but I have nothing but good things to say about the Rockaway location, and the service I've received there.

Seems like a scam I…read morewent into the store with an appointment to have my phone screen fixed. The representative stated I needed to give him the passcode to my phone and it would be done in 2 hrs. I have had several people tell me before going, I would not need to give my passcode for a simple screen crack fix. I spoke to other screen repair places on the phone, they stated I would not need to give my passcode and there is a maintenance mode that is used during fixes to protect privacy. The representative was insistent the only way he would fix it was with my passcode and to just trust him. I left with my cracked screen because of how odd this was. Why not put my phone in maintenance mode? Why require my passcode where you could scroll through all my financial information, emails, passcodes, photos, convos. Why on earth should I just trust some random guy who refuses to fix a phone on maintenance mode when it is an option and is standard practice.

I brought my Apple Watch in to have the battery replaced last month. they promised it in 2-5 days…read more I called the and no one ever returned my calls. I finally went into the store and they told me that they had broken the watch trying to replace the battery. They said they had ordered a replacement. They cannot give me any information as to when I will receive the watch. Again, phone calls are never returned, and there's always always a new excuse - " I have to text my manager," " my manager, never texted me back," call my manager," " my manager never called me back," " we ordered the watch, but I can't track the delivery" " there was a miscommunication with the supplier." in the meantime, I am without the heart monitor on the watch which my cardiologist recommended I have. I would stay as far away from this business as I possibly could. Not only are they incompetent but their customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. I wish I had seen the negative yelp reviews before I walked to their door
