I have been a long standing version customer, this past weekend I had a sales person in this store really piss me off... I wet in to upgrade my blackberry to a new iPhone 4s the sales person was so rude, he tried to talk me out of the iPhone into a droid - personally I have checked out every phone verizon offered and I still preferred the iPhone he kept pushing the droid even after I told him I didn't want it ... He eventually got the iPhones for us but was rude during the rest of the transaction. I understand that they don't get as large of a commission on iPhones ever he wasn't gonna change my mine if he was smart he would have push accessories to make some extra money Anyways my point is, beware of the pushy sales people that try to push other items then get attitudes when you don't want what they push read more

Today, just after noon, I arrived at this location to pay my bill. It was the 3rd time I needed to drive in because my autopay kept failing after providing a new card. I was greeted kindly by a man at the door but immediately noticed at least 6-8 employees standing around looking bored plus another several back behind the desks. There may have been 1 other customer at the desk. I explained my situation and calmly expressed frustration that previous visits to get help fixing this problem were unsuccessful. The man politely asked if I had a Verizon app. I let him know yes but it was not allowing the change. Previously I received some help from another employee there and a phone call, but still the autopay did not function. He let me know that the only way to update auto-pay was through the app. I again looked around at the at least half-dozen employees looking bored and stated that if it is more work for me to fight with an app then it is to sign up with AT&T I could just go do that. At this point a tall man standing in the center of the group of employees quickly interjected himself into the conversation and said something along the lines of "That's fine you can go do that". I had my 3yo along with me and so chose not to engage any further. I walked out in frustration and disbelief at the interaction. If this is the current culture of customer service at Verizon, I'm out. I am now, after nearly 25 years as a Verizon customer, in the market for a new carrier. read more

I am still getting no where with this company. After doing the steps they gave me to do to resolve the issue, my name is still coming up as fraud. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am having issues with my cellular phone phone. guy didn't like my questions, he was rude, dismissive, arrogant hostile and nasty. he said this conversation is over and no body here will help you. I had an issue with my father in law's phone. while I will have to return for final resolution, this store was helpful. while I was there I saw them wait on multiple customers, and they were good. I'm not even a Verizon customer, and I am dealing with canceling a contract, so there's nothing in it for them - still very helpful. Highly recommend this store. read more

Don't go to this location. Go to mechanicsburg. People here don't wanna help. I never get bad experience there. Employees were out of uniform. I was left ungreeted during a time that wasn't too busy. I'm not a Verizon customer, but I received a Verizon gift card. Got a new phone and needed accessories. The guy that helped me had a kufi cap (?) and a real attitude, I'm guessing because he wasn't selling a contract. Sold me a charger that wouldn't work with the case they sold me. $80 for a charger and $60 for a case. Had to return the charger. Got attitude again. Went to buy another case, same guy. Flipped open a door on the wall with cases and said "there ya go". I had a question. He walks away, points ant the wall and said "well look!", then went in the back. Another employee came out to wait on me. After he rang me up I said, is that guy a manager. He said yes. I said, well he's an a$$ too. And I left. When I returned the charger, he refused to wait on me. Then took the customer that walked in the door after I did. Avoid this store. Or just avoid Verizon altogether. read more

Very bad experience. I understand we are in the midst of a pandemic but there is still such a thing as customer service. Spent $1500 on a new phone and accessories and was assured they would be able to put the phone the phone together and assist with the transfer of the data. When I arrived they said no and that on-line customer service said the wrong information. I admit I was extremely agitated and care across very strong but the manager, whose name out of respect, I won't type here was extremely rude. Can someone let me know if this is legal??? I wanted to switch my cell phone from AT&T to Verizon, so I made an appointment with Verizon and went in to get some info. Things were looking good until it came time to actually make the deal; the Verizon rep told me that they would not send out a monthly paper bill--I HAD to agree to monthly automatic payments out of my bank account. My credit is good and my condo and car have been paid off for years. I always pay my bills on time. Over a month ago my wife and I went in to upgrade our phone and our account is still messed up because they showed we had an iPhone 7 to exchange but we actually had an iPhone 10. After the exchange, the phone still wouldn't work correctly and Brian the store manager still hasn't resolved the issue. We still haven't received credit for the exchange and they lost the phone as well. They provided a pre paid envelope and can't find the tracking number. This has been an extremely frustrating experience and we still can't get an answer from Brian (store manager). read more

Juist the worst! Drive to the Hummelstown store if you actually want any help. I came here the eve of 6/17. We needed to get my sons new phone activated. (He lost his old one) My son was already there earlier that day and was told to call the 800 number. After being on hold for 45 min, customer service emailed him a QR code which didn't work. I went with him back in to get help after I got off work. The guy there was visibly angry we were there. He asked why we didn't call the 800 number. I explained the code didn't work. He accused us of lying and told us to "sit over there and I'll help you when I get time." I called him rude and we left. I tried another store and Luke at the Hummelstown store had the phone working in 5 min. Clearly this guy was just lazy and not wanting to help since he wasn't getting commission. That's my assumption based on his behavior. He makes Verizon look bad. We spent thousands of dollars a month with Verizon with a company account. We are considering switching. Why not get rid of employees who should not be working with customers? read more

I received a message from the owner apologizing for poor service however I recently returned to this location because my iPhone 4s battery will not stay charged. After a 45 minute wait I decided to walk out and that will be THE LAST time I return to this location. I had a long wait and my phone still will not hold charge; waste of time. I see my last review was put under the not recommended reviews so if you don't believe that review perhaps this one will be the adequate review this Verizon store location deserves- 0 stars if the option was available. I left Verizon fios because their wifi coverage sucked. We paid 177.11 for years with no real wifi service. We complained for years and they said everytime "oh, its fixed now" but it wasn't . Our mistake, we were just too busy. We tried xfinity and their wifi was terrific but their TV channels were not what we wanted so we went back to Verizon Fios. Everytime we talked to someone the price was different . Now we finally get the paper bill and that price is more than what they quoted (not including taxes)and different than what their email bill notification says. This store has the worst customer service I've ever had the displeasure of receiving. Between the rude employees and the self pay kiosks, I'm seriously considering changing providers. While paying cash at the kiosk, the machine didn't recognize my deposit. I was then treated like I was trying to scam them. The employees are rude and condescending. After being told that the screen informs you that it will only accept one bill at a time, and "It's not an ATM!", "We've had these machines here for ten years and you're the only one this has ever happened to", I walked them through the process and proved that there is nothing to indicate that you must insert one bill at a time. Stay far away from this location. They add on insurance and other services automatically, without consulting with the customer prior. I am a customer who reviews things before signing and the employee claimed that it was automatic and the only way to take it off is to call into customer service the following day. I almost walked out without signing anything, however I needed a phone due to my prior one not working properly. The employees smile and work hard to up-sell the customer which is their job, but don't insult our intelligence and automatically add things that we don't want. read more

Went in to explore options for a new phone and reduce my significantly overpriced plan and was told by a very rude, snide, disrespectful, young lady, that she would give me cancelation info and I could leave Verizon and go with someone else. Over 20 years with Verizon and ZERO customer service at this location, or nare a care in the world for loyal customers with Longetivity or brand loyalty. Stay away from this place! I will never go to Verizon again! I walked into the Verizon store behind another couple, a young lady greeted them saying may I help you, they walked past her to another gentleman and she started doing a little rant in front of the customers. I said to her "I'm here to get a copy of my contract/agreement" and she asked how I was and I said fine, to which she replied great. I told her what I needed, gave her a copy of my bill showing my information and asked me for ID. She wrote down my information and went to the back. A rep was helping another customer who came in behind me, didn't bother asking him for his ID but pulled his account up. Interesting how I'm told they can't look anything up without ID but yet they did it for this gentleman! After about 5 minutes the lady helping me came back laid the paperwork down on the desk in front of me and walked away. She did not say here you are, thank you, is there anything else I can do for you, how can we keep your service, nothing, just walked away. I replied to the gentleman standing next to me (who was representative of Verizon) that that was very rude of her to just lay it down and not say anything to me after she mentioned about someone being rude to her by not greeting her when they came in the door after she had greeted them. To which he replied, "is that what you needed from us?", I said yes, I'm checking it to make sure it is actually what I need. He said that's what you asked for and I replied "yes, I wanted to make sure that it's correct but that was still rude of her the way she walked away without saying anything". He replied, "I will speak to her about that. Do you want me to staple those?", I said "no that's fine". I turned to him and said this is why I'm leaving Verizon for the lack of customer service. And he said have a nice day ma'am. So needless to say he probably won't speak to her about it and he doesn't care about losing a customer BUT, they do care about having the football game on and watching it while they're helping customers. As one of the gentleman, while helping a customer, walked over to the TV to make sure the Soundbar was on even though you could hear it through the store without it on, went back to the customer, ask the customer a question and watch the TV as the customer was answering him. Also, chewing gum and standing with your hands in your pockets while you're waiting on a customer is not good customer service either. I understand you chew gum to freshen your breath etc., but don't chew on it while you're talking to the customer. The art of proper customer service has gone to the way side. read more

Do NOT do business with Verizon--they will have their hands in your bank account! Because of poor customer service, I cancelled my internet connection within the 30 day time period. Apparently Verizon employees can't count to 30. I was charged $165 early termination fee! Also, they went into my bank account without my permission and took it out. When I called to complain, they said they would refund the money, BUT it would take about a month for them to refund the money! They took it out like Speedy Gonzolez, but it takes a month for them to return it!!!??? Give me a break. Comcast is the way to go. read more

I was just at this store to obtain information about phones for my sister who has MS and has difficulties with her fine motor skills. The employee who I had could have cared less. She acted as if I was taking up too much of her precious time. She talked to me like I knew every detail about smart phones, which I do not. When I asked her to provide information for a phone plan, she wrote down very limited information. She may be have a lot of knowledge in what she is trying to sell, but her attitude and inability to relate to the customer and communicate that knowledge in an understanding way is abysmal. I really do not think she likes her job as I noticed she also came in after the store had opened. It makes me think twice about using Verizon to purchase a cell phone and a plan for my sister. Again, it is too bad that I had to give it even one star. read more

iPhone 7 plus issue. I went to Target and added a line so I could get 7 plus phone. Took it home and it didn't work, went back and got another phone. Did the update, and the next day, it was acting strange, jumping screens and making calls on its own. Pages were moving and deleting. I took it back to show the target rep, and she agreed something was wrong, but they had no phones left. I called Verizon and they said I can take it to this location, tell them the issue and they will give me a new phone, as I had a 14 day guarantee. I go in and the guy asks what's the problem. I tell him the issues. He first asked me if I was closing the open applications, and I said yes. He then asked me to show him what I was doing when the phone acted up. He opens YouTube and I start looking at songs, but it was acting fine at this point. I explained that to him. He said he couldn't help me if he couldn't see the problem. I told him it just happens randomly, and the Target mobile rep did witness this. He again asked if I was closing the apps. I also let him know that while I'm using my phone and charging it, although it's charging, it is charging very slow. 2% increase in 10 minutes isn't normal. I said well this isn't my first iPhone, I've had them for years, never had a issue. He states that any electronic device could have issues. He repeated that over and over so I finally asked him if they tell customers who get a new phone, that it's possible that they will have issues because it's an electronic device. He didn't seem to care, then he told me they would mail me a replacement if I wanted. I asked if it was going to be new or refurbished, as I am paying for a new phone,not refurbished. He said yes it's new. I wasn't happy and didn't like how he spoke to me,as if I had never had a iPhone before. I told him I had already called Verizon and they have it noted on my account that I have a phone with issues. He didn't call then to check, so I said no I'll just go call them. I called in the parking lot, and told Verizon what happened, and how he was talking to me as if I was some dumb person who didn't know how to use an iPhone. When I asked if it was true that I would have received a new phone or was he lying to me, I was told he wasn't lying but wasn't telling the truth! I won't go back to this location, I now have to go to another city and get a replacement phone, on the spot! Not in the mail like he stated to me. Verizon on the phone was great and I appreciate their help, however this guy was just rude and thought he was going to talk to me like I'm clueless. What a shame, as I was going to go there to get the iPhone 8 when it comes out. read more

I used to be happy with my Verizon. I left Comcast to come to Verizon. I started having problems with a group of people and one of those people is my landlords handyman. He saw that I had a computer and after that I kept seeing this old truck with the name Verizon on the door, but, it looked like someone put the letters, all lower case, on the door. There were no numbers of any kind on the truck anywhere. They were driving around my complex and when I drove past them on my way out I could not see their faces because they turned their heads. When I came back home the truck was parked behind my building and I watched one of the men coming from the box on the side of my building. From that point on it seems like they know who I'm calling and who's calling me and what I do on my computer. I even had a rep call me and ask me about what I do on my computer and tried to get me to switch to a faster connection. When I refused, the rep seemed annoyed with me, even after telling her I was on a fixed income and I needed to keep my bill where I can afford it, she hung up. I have been having trouble with my internet lagging more and more. I say all of this because I believe a more stricter hiring policy should be in place because in the wrong hands, your equipment could mess with a persons life. read more
