Okay so Battery Plus was bought out and under new ownership! Went in for a Key Fob battery. Ended…read moreup getting a lifetime warranty! What ticked me off after I had them put a battery in my key fob the sales associate just signed me up for the lifetime warranty program! Didn't ask, didn't present the option ahead of time! I work retail and actually I worked at Battery Plus under different owners! So this method of selling a lifetime warranty is BS! Not sure if I'll be returning to this location again! I don't like sleezy sales selling me something that wasn't offered or explained! Owners you should discuss the sales methods to your associates! The old owners were all about customer service! UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE 8-21-25 Just an update Josh the manager reached out corrected the issue & refunded also informed me that he counseled the employee on the correct way to present services! Good Job!

Strongly suggest avoiding this business for all repairs…read more I asked for a screen replacement on a Pixel phone. I also asked if they used OEM parts, to which they said yes. They replaced the screen, and brought it to me to validate. The edges of the screen were squishy. (easy sign of improper adhesive application) They took it back to the bench, opened it again, and added adhesive. The manager brought me the phone a second time to validate. The digitizer (touchscreen) no longer worked at all. They returned it to the bench a third time. Opened it, re-seated the primary ribbon cable (it was not seated properly), and put it back together. (Hint: that's 3 times assembling the phone with the same adhesive that's single-use.) They brought me the phone again. The upper edge of the screen no longer seated into the casing properly. I asked to verify the screen was a new OEM screen. The manager found the package for the screen, and it was a refurbished third-party screen, confirming they lied about the parts they use. The manager also confirmed they did not use OEM adhesive to attach the screen, they used strips of 3M tape. I asked for my broken screen back with my repaired phone, and the manager refused to provide it. At this point, I realized they had no trained technicians in the shop, including the manager. I had to disassemble the device myself at home. The adhesive applied by Batteries Plus technicians was a disaster - bunched, uneven, rolled up, and missing completely from the corners. The adhesive must be a perfect seal, or the device will gradually fill with moisture and particles. The technician had also damaged the "new" refurbished screen they installed, bent 2 of the metal edge clips flat, and broken the seal between the digitizer and the display on the top edge (which is why it wouldn't seat in the casing). I had to repair the device from scratch myself, purchasing a new OEM replacement display from Google, as well as OEM adhesive. This is not a shop of trained technicians, it is a shop of amateurs managed by liars. Caveat emptor.

So of course I dropped my phone face down on the ground in the one un carpeted area at work. It didn't sound catastrophic so I wasn't TOO worried, but lo and behold, it was broken and broken in the way that every touch of the screen was a possible painful papercut. I googled phone screen replacements and I can get my own new screen for around 45 dollars. I can get my own tool set for replacing screens for anywhere from 10-30 bucks, I can just watch a 7 minute video and do it myself!!!! Or I can take it to UBREAKITIFIXIT and have it fixed in a couple hours. Sure it cost a penny (over 10000 pennies) but it got fixed, they were nice, they give a 10% military discount and I have a fixed non finger damaging phone. It does feel like each text is a bit more effort, not sure If I need to adjust something or what. Oh yaa, and you can go online and make your apt, and get a pretty accurate estimate relatively painlessly.
