I took it to a couple of Apple-authorized places in Camp Hill and York, and they said they could no longer get the batteries from Apple. So I bought a battery on eBay, but those same places said and they wouldn't install an "outside" battery. I brought my phone and new battery into I-Cell Repair, and the guy said "No problem". He installed my new battery while I waited, and he even invited me to watch him do it. It took him less than 20 minutes, and I'm thrilled to once again have a phone that lasts the whole day. This was easily a 5-star experience.

When I got there before I even opened my mouth, I guess they saw the equipment in the bag. A little bug eyed Manager said we do not take it here "this is a wireless store". He would not look at the email from Verizon with the return instructions and locations. I was very upset and may have said a couple of words i should not have. He threatened to call the cops on me if I did not leave. This is a terrible store with terrible customer service and a inadequate Manager. If you dont believe me look at all of the "1" rated reviews. Strongly suggest avoiding this business for all repairs…read more I asked for a screen replacement on a Pixel phone. I also asked if they used OEM parts, to which they said yes. They replaced the screen, and brought it to me to validate. The edges of the screen were squishy. (easy sign of improper adhesive application) They took it back to the bench, opened it again, and added adhesive. The manager brought me the phone a second time to validate. The digitizer (touchscreen) no longer worked at all. They returned it to the bench a third time. Opened it, re-seated the primary ribbon cable (it was not seated properly), and put it back together. (Hint: that's 3 times assembling the phone with the same adhesive that's single-use.) They brought me the phone again. The upper edge of the screen no longer seated into the casing properly. I asked to verify the screen was a new OEM screen. The manager found the package for the screen, and it was a refurbished third-party screen, confirming they lied about the parts they use. The manager also confirmed they did not use OEM adhesive to attach the screen, they used strips of 3M tape. I asked for my broken screen back with my repaired phone, and the manager refused to provide it. At this point, I realized they had no trained technicians in the shop, including the manager. I had to disassemble the device myself at home. The adhesive applied by Batteries Plus technicians was a disaster - bunched, uneven, rolled up, and missing completely from the corners. The adhesive must be a perfect seal, or the device will gradually fill with moisture and particles. The technician had also damaged the "new" refurbished screen they installed, bent 2 of the metal edge clips flat, and broken the seal between the digitizer and the display on the top edge (which is why it wouldn't seat in the casing). I had to repair the device from scratch myself, purchasing a new OEM replacement display from Google, as well as OEM adhesive. This is not a shop of trained technicians, it is a shop of amateurs managed by liars. Caveat emptor.

He told me to call customer service & ask. Once I went to call he told me to leave the store to call them, although we were in the middle of trying to do a upgrade for a phone. I told him I wasn't comfortable with going forward with a new purchase until I figured out why these extra charges were on the account. By me basically not willing to give him my card information it was like he was totally over helping me. He was rolling his eyes the entire time his demeanor was like he wasn't even trying to help me understand what the chargers were for. Prior, before trying to place the order for the upgrade I asked him if he could call a few stores in the surrounding area to see if they had one of the phones in stock. He said I was being demanding but as a customer if I'm willing to drive to a different location that may have the phone I need I don't think that was a demanding or a difficult request.. as that should be his job. He was also talking badly about other customers in the store in front of me which was very inappropriate & especially as a manager. Also to tell a customer to leave the store to make a call to customer service after a Employee is telling me to call I think that just sounds absolutely outrageous. His words were if I call while he sits there he's hourly and makes him look " unproductive" .... I'm sorry I am mind blown at this manager. If I was the owner of the store I would definitely run the cameras to watch the experience that I had to encounter with him because it was not Pleasant.
