These people are awesome! I used to get my devices from them before I started buying directly from the Apple Store. But the store helps me get the best Verizon plan regarding of where I purchase my phone. Jeff, who no longer is based at this location, is amazing. He has really been good to help my friends, family & our former business by determining the best plan for their needs. I had been holding onto a grandfathered plan for many years & thought it could get no better. He found a plan for Seniors who purchased phones on their own that was better, even including cellular for my iPad & Apple Watch. Recently I bought a new iPad on line through the Apple Store. I knew how to set it up. The only task I had never performed was removing the SIM Card from my old iPad & inserting it into the new. Since the SIM Card lays, rather than snaps into the tray, it was hard to keep it in the tray & get it to snap in. I got in my car & immediately went to this Verizon Store. One of the employees immediately snapped it in for me. They are really nice and helpful. The store is a standalone across Independence Boulevard from Haygood Shopping Center. There is ample parking & a curb cut on Independence so you can turn in coming from the north. No U turn required. The store is spacious, clean and is adequately staffed. I highly recommend it. But if one can determine what store Jeff now works at Remember......He's the best!!! read more

Customer service was epically lacking. What should have been a super simple visit to turn in fios equipment turned into a comedy of excuses for not being able to log into their own system. I was redirected to a store five miles away. Bizarre. Can't say that store inspired confidence to capture my repeat business for much of anything. Seems like a training and management problem. The Independence Blvd location is where I go because it's the closest to my home, but Jordan is AMAZING. He's super patient and good at explaining things if you don't understand them. I've used this branch store several times, bought three phones from 'em, and had great service. Most of the technicians are helpful ... yeah, there's always gonna be some who aren't, but ... have you been out and about lately? My old phone conked out, so I needed a new one, which is always why I get a new phone...I don't have to have the latest thing. Guy helped me out, got what I needed and was on my way. Took a bit over an hour, but everything has to be transferred from one to the other. No biggie if you want it done right. And to the disgruntled folks who posted they're switching to another service, good luck. They might be a little cheaper, but I've gone thru 'em all, even one's that no longer exist ... wait til you get out in the boonies and get no service on your phone or gps. You'll be sorry. We stopped by after work on December 26th at 6pm. I explained to the female sales associate that I was having problems with my IPhone staying charged. She asked for my PIN number to look up my account. The computer was going slow and she said "the system had been having issues all day." Then she said that my PIN number wasn't working- which I thought was odd because I had just confirmed my PIN number in August when I had made a call to Verizon. After giving her our address, social security number, and account number off of our billing statement, and listing all 3 of the lines on the account- she still said that the system was not locating us! I became extremely frustrated by her rude attitude, lack of consideration and brushing me off when I insisted that this is the right PIN number and something must be wrong with her "system." I then asked if she could call customer service- and she rudely replied that she could call, but it wouldn't do any good. I told her this was unreal and the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Verizon store! We got up and left- and went the the Virginia Beach Blvd location. Low and behold the sales guy, Troy put in my PIN number (the same one I gave the lady) and it worked right away! I explained what happened with the other store, and he said that was really unnecessary because all she had to do (If our pin was not working) was text us a new one right from the store! Well, as a result of Troys excellent service he made a sale on a new IPhone . too bad it couldn't have been that simple at the independence location! Could have done without the eye rolling and sarcastic attitude as well! read more

This was my second time at this store. First time with my Mom who wanted to upgraded and they couldn't help her out. They can't even pull up her account. Second time was a mistake! I can't take it back now but, it's sad that a female coming in...they still pull those tricks! So I went in to do an early upgrade about 24 days early for an IPhone X. I had an awesome kept condition 6s plus phone, I didn't really wanted to trade it in but the sales guy told me all the good stuff about the trade in $$ will go towards my new phone. And I said ok, if it's going to my new phone then I'll do it. As he was doing the trade in, he kept telling me oh I can give u this and u can get this...so he was pushing me to get tons of accessories not knowing it's going towards my trade in value. When I asked so the trade in is going towards my new phone right?!? He said oh no, it won't let me. Which is bull because I immediately call Verizon and I was told that I had 3 options on what I want to do with my trade in. So this sales guy just pushed all these accessories to me, things I didn't need. If I knew it wasn't going towards my trade in I would have done this through Verizon online and would've waited. Obviously I can't get my old phone back. I called the store and they're not even sure if I can get a refund if I returned the accessories that I don't need! I was told that I might just get a store credit to use for other accessories...which I don't want and need so that won't make sense or work! The least would be for me to get a Verizon credit to go towards my phone bill!! My fault for trusting people here! Should've learned my lesson the first time! And they charge $40 for me to type in my iCloud info so all my saved items will transfer to my new phone which again could've done at home for free!! Another BS charges. Oh and they never said anything about me getting charge $40 for that, like I said if they did I would've done this myself. Might be the only store that charge to transfer your stuff to your new phone! When we upgraded my mom's phone after not getting any help from them. We went to military hwy Verizon store and we left without paying for anything!!! Horrible, lies and lies.... the sales guy is nice but obviously he wanted to push over priced store items instead of putting my trade towards my new phone!! When it came time to upgrade mine, I returned there and was greeted upon entering the door and helped immediately. i will be switching to another service asap. Went in to get a free upgrade on my phone. Guy told me i was only going to pay taxes since this is a free upgrade. Then said hey look you on our "loyalty"plan and you get a free tablet. I asked several times if i would pay anything for the tablet and was told no. It's basically a gift for being a loyal customer. Hahaha they got me. Tablet is not free. In fact it will be over 200 dollars when all said and done. And guess what my free upgrade for my phone isn't free either. It's 20 bucks a month until my phone is paid off. He signed me up for the edge program without my knowledge so that is how my phone was only a small amount just taxes when i got it. Not because it was a free upgrade like they said. Bottom line i was lied to several times by several people. It's obvious that Verizon only cares about numbers and sales and will get them any way possible.i now have a huge phone bill and only can rode it out until my term is up or pay a huge cancelation fee. Let's face it, every business is out for profit, nothing wrong with that. And some sales ppl are on commission, some are not. Nothing wrong with that either. But if you have been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for almost 2 decades and wanna save money by going Verizon Wireless Prepaid (and you WILL save money) then stay away from this store. You will be treated like the "Redheaded Stepchild" of the family, because staff earn no commission on Prepaid, and you will not be treated as the valuable customer that you are !! Go to the 4001 Virginia Beach Blvd store instead, ask for Graham (I know that's an incorrect spelling but it will get u to him) and get treated to the service you deserve !!
