Every time I go into this location, the girl that works behind the counter is always so friendly always greet you when you walk in the door super helpful and very knowledgeable. She gets people in and out very quickly. Her service is top notch. She's got great customer service skills. I've gone in there a few times and have had issues trying to get my barcode up on my app for them to scan and she's always so helpful and never has an attitude. I absolutely love this location. Most of the time they are understaffed but I tend to believe it's not their fault, with the volumes of free Amazon returns, etc. there's always a line. But the good part is that the line doesn't last long, the staff here is efficient. They are polite and helpful. I had a laptop delivered from my client. It was supposed to be delivered by a UPS truck yesterday between 7:30 and 8:30pm, or so the tracking info via email indicated. Not sure if I should be glad that the driver came earlier but it was outside the estimated time so I wasn't home to sign for the package. The good thing was that the driver left a note indicating the package will be left at the UPS store. Here's where the good rating comes in. I called the store and explained that I need to know when the package will be redelivered. They were able to confirm the 2pm to 2:30pm timeframe that the package will be left by the driver and even confirmed via updated tracking email that I can come pick up the package. I was hit on the head by a falling ceiling tile in this store. The staff seemed unconcerned that I might be hurt. The young girl shrugged and said, "it's just foam". The other guys behind the counter never stopped watching videos on their phones. I had to insist that the owner be called and he was very nonchalant as well. I had to send a purse back and they gave me a UPS return label. I went by the store closest to me, here at Kemps River. It was a breeze! Two staff members quickly shuffled carrying a few things to the back while the other helped the next customer. I waited maybe 1 minute to be seen, very well versed young lady. I was easily able to email the label to the store, print it out, and have it affixed to my box and taped up. What great service! I felt guilty not spending money in here. Visiting my mom in Va Beach I had to reprint paperwork that was emailed to me, make copies and fax out some important docs. This was my first time using the services of a UPS store and I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely professional and patient and went out of their way to help customers (showing one gentleman how to take a picture with his phone and then send it). The staff sits on the counter where the packages are weighted. You come in and wait for the associates to finish their conversation while they still sit on the counter while you hold your heavy packages. What a joke. These people don't even have your basic customer service skills. "Hi welcome" "how can I help?" "have a great day!" Clearly they get paid regardless , no need to act like they care and clearly there are no repercussions. They scan the packages, and say "need a receipt?". I paid for 3 Day shipping for important docs to arrive on a specific Due Date! The Docs did not arrive on the Due Date. This place is full of liars, lazy people and thieves. Dropped off three packages. None were shipped after a week. I was told to come back in a week. Two weeks later still not shipped. Called three different times and left a message. Not one return phone call. Finally spoke with someone and they told me they had a glitch going on for a while. They lied about that. The worst UPS store for customer service I have ever been in. I wanted to send an expensive violin, listening to their boxing versus mine, plus insurance coverage, the manager proceeded to get rude when I misunderstood her, had to refund me and then when I asked for the new total to ship with higher insurance coverage, she was like I don't know what it is that you don't understand. I cancelled my order and had to wait for the owner to call because she wanted to credit me for miscellaneous instead of what I paid for so now 15 minutes later waiting for the owner to call and will have to find another UPS to ship from. I would like to give this company and their staff 5 stars for the work they did for my Aunt. They shipped 7 boxes of valuable family heirlooms, which included fine china as well as fragile crystal wine glasses. Every item arrived with out a chip or any breakage. They took their time packing these items and that shows in the arrival of all of our things in excellent shape. These items traveled from Virginia to California. read more
