I spoke with the person "Zaib" (see pictures) and we agreed on 90.00 to replace the screen. I had him give me a card with his name, the details and the price. He said it would be 24 hours or so to fix it. We gave him 48 hours and called in advance to pick it up and make sure it was ready. When we called, he said the price had gone up to 150.00 and they had not done it. He really did not give a reason other than he gave us the wrong price. Mind you, we discussed price in depth and agreed upon 90.00. I said we would be there immediately to pick it up. Upon arriving there, I asked why he had agreed to a price and then not honored it. He proceeded to show us a text message from his boss, telling him that he could not honor the price. When I told him this was a typical bait and switch, he stated that would just say he could not get into the iPad - which you don't need to have in order to replace a screen - and was a lie. He turned very nasty, rude and sarcastic. In closing, I went to the Apple Store - they were less money. This place is a joke! Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Things went well at first when I dropped off my phone and let the guys at the kiosk know that I had a groupon as well. I came back and my phone was ready. I was asked if I wanted a phone screen protector and I said yes, thinking that it was included in the repair. IT WAS NOT. By the time I figured this out, the screen protector had been applied and couldn't be refunded. It was an extra $25. They said it could be replaced for $9.99 once it wore down if I brought the original receipt back. I honestly felt pretty scammed because I can buy quality screen protectors on Amazon for half that price. When I mentioned the price difference between theirs and Amazon's, they said theirs is higher quality and that I wouldn't be able to put it on properly at home. That's for me to decide. It was said pretty condescendingly. I feel stupid for not asking if the screen protector was free or not, but make sure you do. When I let them know that they should let their customers know that there is a charge for it when asking, they got very defensive and said that other places charge over $30. That wasn't my point. The point was to be transparent with the pricing upfront. Another issue arose with the groupon deal. The original deal is a $30 voucher for $15. I presented this and they said that it would only cover 10%. On my receipt, it's marked as the yelp check in discount. I kept asking why the groupon's full $30 wasn't applied and they said that's just how it was. I told them that it's not right to keep the deal up on the page if it's not accurate and they said they were aware of it but couldn't do much about it. How does that make any sense? The business promoting the deal through groupon should be responsible for upholding it or take it off the site. I purchased it for no reason. I could've still gotten the yelp check in discount without purchasing the groupon. Now I'm having issues getting a refund because groupon makes it so difficult. BUT that's not the end of it. When I said I shouldn't have even purchased the groupon, the guys told me that they don't do discounts much anymore and that they did it for me. It says right on the yelp page that they offer the discount to anyone who checks in. I don't understand. All in all, my phone is fixed. However, I left in a bad mood due to the lack of transparency in pricing for the screen protector, the defensive manner in which they answered my questions, and the way the groupon deal was handled.

I went to Universal Phones in Everett and bought a Galaxy S10+ . When Dia, the sales lady, asked me if I wanted to purchase tempered glass and a protective case for an additional $50, I agreed, let's do it. I immediately noticed that the case didn't seem to fit well, that there were issues getting the side buttons to work thru the case. I was assured that everything was fine and my phone had "good protection" now.  Well the tempered glass didn't even last 3 weeks. I noticed a chip on the edge of the glass, which quickly formed into a crack across the entire faceplate.  I removed the tempered glass, and the case seemed to fit better, I could actually press the side buttons thru the case now. Three months later,  the case is useless.  The plastic around the charge port was pretty thin, and it began to break apart. Today the whole side of the case cracked and broke off.  Absolute garbage! For $15, they will replace the tempered glass, but considering they didn't set it properly and chipped it the first time, I wasn't going to give them more money for ltheir incompetence. They prefer you to pay them with cash, but I don't walk around with $400 in my pocket, so they charged me an additional $15 for using my debit card. Just a total money grab. I'm hoping someone will find this review helpful and save them from being suckered. Don't waste your money at Univeral Phones.

The other deal I had with a private party fell through so I decided to stop in their store. One weird thing is they only accepted cash app as a form of payment... They only had one XS Max so I didn't get the option to choose I also picked out a couple accessories but when I got to my car I looked at my receipt and it was nearly $200 more than the original ad claimed it would be!!! I immediately went back inside and was shut down and told because of the color and condition of the device I wouldn't qualify for the special that that specific one had already sold and that i I could not get a refund!!!! BS!!! All their phones are said to be "grade a" and the color of the phone is irrelevant for all major phone carriers and price difference!!! They offered no sort of solution and pretty much said oh well RUDE!

I went in September just to ask a few questions about my plan. Instead, I was pushed into an "amazing" upgrade package: a $900 credit, over $120 in monthly discounts, and even a free Xbox. All of it sounded great -- until I later discovered none of it was real. I wish I had checked the reviews beforehand because this is clearly a pattern, not an accident. My previous bill was $88. I was explicitly promised I would pay less for an entire year because of the $900 credit. The representative who sold this -- Christian Romo -- has reportedly been scamming many customers in recent weeks and has conveniently disappeared to another state. I spent nearly three hours on the phone verifying everything, only to find out later that my bill had jumped to $302. Since then, I've wasted countless hours with Verizon and Victra support, visiting stores, and trying to get someone -- anyone -- to take responsibility. So far, nobody has owned the issue, honored the promised credits, or offered any refund. When we returned to the store today, multiple other victims showed up with the exact same complaint. This is not a misunderstanding -- this is a systematic scam happening at this location. We are now preparing to involve a legal team if Victra and Verizon do not respond appropriately. The staff took our information because the store manager, Fernando, was not present. We truly hope the manager will step up, take responsibility, and resolve what has become an ongoing consumer fraud situation. Proceed with extreme caution.
