The fellow runs a small shop and I wanted to give him a chance. I have met his wife and she is very…read morenice. He is likely good with hardware but knows little if anything about software. I asked him if he makes transfers between old laptop to a new laptops and he said yes. I asked what he charged and he said $100. I gave him my phone number and left both machines. I told him I wanted the new machine to look like the old machine and we agreed. I got there he had not done as I asked and wanted to charge me three times what he quoted. He said he had worked on it overnight! There were folders on the screen like the old machine but they were empty. Nothing was like the old machine, absolutely nothing. My Outlook had names but no addresses or emails. When I tried to discuss it with him he kept saying he did not understand. He tried to tell me it couldn't be done. I had to erase the new machine and get someone else to do the transfer which took him less than two hours. He is likely very good with hardward but he never should have taken on a software project that he knows nothing about it. He never should have taken on the project and he never should have charged more. He should have called me and admitted it was beyond his knowledge. I felt totally ripped off, he not only didn't help me he cost me MORE time and life energy. I should have known looking around his disorganized shop he was not the guy for my job. Sad because I wanted to support a small mom and pop shop.

It was evident that the associate was in a rush to conclude our visit and move on to the next potential sale, rather than taking the time to genuinely assist us. This approach resulted in our visit extending beyond two hours, which was not only frustrating but also inconveniencing. In addition to the time spent, there was a notable problem with one of the new phones we purchased. It had to be restored because the initial setup was mishandled by the associate. This revealed a lack of attention to detail and a failure to ensure a seamless customer experience. Overall, I must admit that the overall experience of this visit fell short of my expectations. It genuinely felt like the associate was primarily focused on maximizing his commission, to the detriment of the customer's experience. In my honest opinion, the store should prioritize recruiting and training staff who are not only knowledgeable but also exhibit friendliness and a genuine commitment to assisting customers. It's imperative that the staff does not exhibit body language that conveys a sense of urgency to rush customers out the door in pursuit of another sale. In conclusion, I hope that AT&T takes this feedback seriously and considers it as an opportunity for improvement. A more customer-centric approach, one that emphasizes a thorough and helpful experience over the pursuit of commissions, would undoubtedly enhance the overall customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation of the store. It's crucial that this AT&T store invests in enhancing the quality of its staff and their commitment to creating a welcoming and helpful atmosphere for customers. To add to the fact that this associate was more focus on getting his next commission was more of an insult and the fact that he just didn't seem like he cared.

My laptop wouldn't charge, I didn't know if it was the charger or the laptop itself. Took it in, they they plugged a small testing device into the charging port, said 2 pins were broken. Said it would take $250 to repair. For $250, I might as well buy a new laptop. I asked them if they could plug in one of their chargers to see if the laptop was fine and could take a charge, they said they didn't have one. What??? They're a computer repair shop, and they don't keep spare chargers around for testing? How do they know they've repaired something correctly if they don't have any means to test it? Ridiculous. I took it to another shop, they plugged it into a charger they had, and the laptop was charging just fine. Went to an electronics store and bought a charger for $22.00, and everything is now fine for me and my laptop. This company is either terrifically incompetent, or perhaps more likely, just plain dishonest. Trying to get someone to pay $250 for a repair that they should know isn't needed? Saying they don't have laptop chargers on hand to test if my laptop is fine and will take a charge? I'll let you decide if they are incompetent or dishonest.

I requested a quote from another store initially and chose the option on Yelp of sending the same…read morerequest to similar stores. Cooper was the very first one who replied & provided the least expensive cost for my broken charging port. I dropped my phone many times and it created some sort of black round shadow on the screen and it didn't bother me at all and my main concern was my charging port. I showed at 4pm today and met Cooper - a very friendly and professional guy. We discussed the issue and provided me a pager. He paged me right away because he saw the damage on the screen and offered me options. What he quoted me was a little bit less expensive compared to Apple Repair (which was $150) and the kiosk store in Alderwood Mall (quoted me $300). He said if I do the repair on the screen now along with the damaged charging port, he will give me a discount of $20. He seemed legit, so I said yes. I didnt ask how long the wait time was-- I waited for his page for 2 hours and I decided to walk back to his store before 6pm --- and he said he was paging me but I was 3 blocks away and just learned the pager works only from a few feet away! So maybe, this information needs to be mentioned. Overall, I am satisfied with the result! My bill was $195.98. There's a warranty coverage, too! I dropped off my Apple Watch for a screen repair December 28 2020, today is February 1 2021 and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. AND NOT JUST THAT. I have called and emailed and visited the business in person AND HAVE GOTTEN ZERO RESPONSE. All the calls go to voicemail and they never return my calls. Emails never get responded. There's NO ONE AT THE COUNTER. At this point I think they are scammers and have stolen my watch. Don't give them any of your business.
