Stopped at Apple Store yesterday and purchased a new IPhone as I broke my IPhone 15. They said they could not download my existing apps and all my back up without my Verizon pin. I had this performed before and it took over two hours at the Apple Store. I was on standby for work and had no phone. Driving back home I saw the Verizon store. We stopped in and Jake the Verizon guy was confident that he would be able to program the new IPhone 17. I was doubtful but Jake's confidence was comforting. Jake was able to connect to my business account and down load all my contacts, apps photos in 30 minutes and we were out the door. I have a renewed respect for Verizon and their technicians. Incompetent. And bold face liars. Should never have gone back because 2.5 years ago when I got my phone they made endless mistakes that took about 8 hrs to fix. And my phone was NEVER working properly from Day 1. But today I went back because I heard free upgrades to iPhone 16 and they'll pay off whatever remains on your old phone. ***I called and confirmed my eligibility.*** I went today and was told "Offer only applies to people switching from another carrier." I asked them again, as I have many times before: "Are your employees completely untrained, or are they paid to lie?" Because if you talk to 4 different people you get 4 different answers! Unethical practices going on here. Thought salesperson was being super helpful and got a better deal overall but not the case. Went in to see if I could lower my monthly bill and upgrade 4 lines. Not only did they charge me for an amount much higher than originally disclosed, they unethically signed off on the electronic customer agreement document. Also, charged me for the upgrade fee which they said would be waived. Can't get anyone from the store on the line or to call back so have no choice but to go and return the 4 phones and switch to T-Mobile. Have been a long time customer with Verizon and this is super disappointing. read more

This is not a Verizon corporate store. I was charged more for the phone--even though I had a loyalty offer of a free phone. They were unable/unwilling to give me a detailed breakout of the sales tax on the purchase as well as the set up fee. the "set up" consisted of just running the "copy" feature between my old phone and the new phone. This is something I have easily done in the past. It was not worth the money I paid for the "service". At a corporate store I would not have been charged more for the phone and I also could have opted out of the "set up". For consistency and value I will ALWAYS go to an actual corporate store in the future! read more

Went in to trade my phone in and had a horrible experience. The manager helped me out and was very nice, but chose the wrong number in my plan after giving him my number multiple times. The wrong numbers phone was deactivated during this time for about 30 minutes and somehow my phone was coming up as his? It was a disaster. Left with both my old phone and new phone (neither of which were working) and went to an actual Verizon store. They helped me fix the phone in 10 minutes once I was being helped. This Shrewsbury location is a Verizon retailer which is VERY different. Let me save you lots of time and frustration... go to an actual Verizon store. read more

This place is a rip off. I am a 76 yr old retired veteran on a fixed income and would never purchase a device for $700. At the suggestion of the salesman I upgraded my phone to Galaxy S22 and was told I could get a Galaxy tablet S7 at no cost but I would need to pay the monthly service which I agreed. I paid my bill for the last 15 months with no problem. I finally looked at my actual bill and noticed I was being charged $700.00 for the tablet. I went to the location where I purchased my phone and was told the manager would take care of it and get back to me. It has been several days and I was never called back. read more

What a way to spend the 4th of July weekend. Worst experience. Phone had virus did trade-in. In store was slow, but okay but got home and tried to register for autopay to get deal and Verizon had no record of my phone. Interesting since charge for cell phone was on last month's bill. Spent 2+ hours on computer with Verizon Wireless with no results. Called store... put on hold for over an hour and then cutoff. Now got email saying I requested paper bill which I did not want. Will have to go back to store since I am working until Wednesday. Unbelievable. read more

Unbelievable experience--- I went in for a damaged TV remote. Rich Pechinsky was helping me with that and I asked about updating two older Samsung cellular phones. He spent all the time needed to explain the new features to an old guy like me! He even showed a plan that saved me $25.00 per month with the new phones included! I had resisted updating for years because I thought the experience would be long and tedious. He made it quick, professional and answered all my questions. I wish I could rate even less. Stay far away from this place. I very rarely go out of my way to write a negative review but this is warranted. I'm pretty easy to please. I've never received such poor customer service from anywhere in my life. The arrogance is baffling. I truly believe i was discriminated against due to my appearance. This isn't the first time I've been to this location but it will certainly be my last. This whole store needs to be trained or find a competent staff who knows how to treat people. I went in today to pick up an order that was ready (no charges or anything necessary) and waited patiently. Being that there's literally zero organization or management for patrons here, I had asked someone who was going to the back if they can retrieve my order since I had my dog and gf waiting in the car. He was too busy trying to upsell his customer and blew me off. I guess I wasn't important enough. I sat and waited patiently for someone else to become free. A woman and her daughter came in looking to make a purchase and asked about signing in or a line to which everyone just shrugged. None of us had a clue. Then another woman walked in and was immediately helped. Finally someone became free and asked who is next. No one spoke up. I mentioned I was there to pick up an order insinuating I would be quick. To my reply I hear more arrogance from the employee next to the one I originally asked telling me there are probably a bunch of people for fios and turned away from me, with the original chiming in "we are first come first serve". I guess that would make me next considering the women who jumped in the seat after were the same ones I held the door open for on my way in. I made sure to mention that. It was ignored. I walked out. Stay away at all cost and check each and every charge on invoice. My wife went and we switched from another carrier to Verizon and Mr. Anish Lakhani helped her and then me and provided all false information. I had to go in after reviewing charges on invoices for set up and go and so called in store activation fee which is shown as "redux" on this invoice. What is redux? even I do not know so I called Verizon and was on phone for 2 hours and I was told Verizon NEVER charges any set up and go fees and NEVER an in store activation fees and never have heard about REDUX. I come to find out Redux is what "Victra" charges which is never told to any customer. Multiple complaints about this everywhere and this is how they get you. Pay over $100 just in so called non sense fees for each line. I went in stood until Mr. Anish was free and he argued saying call customer service and I proved by calling 611 and got refunded for 2 set up and go fees and 2 redux fees. These fees were never disclosed and are never charged by Verizon. This is a third party retailer and when confronted they refund everything at once. We got reeled into lies and not treated with honesty. BBB has so many complaints and I hope this review is being read by owner of "Victra" and teach their employees to disclose customer with all fess that we are paying. Attitude is bad when you are in fault and that is what I do not stand. I would not recommend anyone to go to Victra owned stores and definitely not this one as they are masters in ripping customers off. I signed up for the Verizon Fios triple play at this store and was told by a sales person that I would be paying one amount. He flipped the monitor around and showed me the price and I agreed that I was happy with that price. It included a free router. Just got my first bill and guess what? Apparently Verizon doesn't offer a free router as a promotion according to their online support team. So now I will need to pay for the router monthly for 2 years. I am happy with the speed, but extremely disappointed with the shady tactics of showing me one price, guaranteeing that that is all that I will pay, then getting a bill for another price. read more

Helping an older relative move into an assisted living facility is a busy time. Each night after work there are time sensitive tasks, identifying the best place for them, getting them and their furniture moved, helping them change doctors, making sure they don't miss their prescriptions, and cleaning out their house to sell it to pay for the assisted living. So, I was very relieved that when I called Verizon Fios they were able to cancel my relative's existing TV and Internet service and move their phone service in one short call. In fact, they said they could terminate the old service immediately and have a technician out to the assisted living facility to turn on the new phone service the very next day. Then they walked me through the list of retail locations where I could return the router and TV boxes and gave me a confirmation number to return them. I left that call with the feeling that Verizon appreciates their customers and wants to help. Great, so with confirmation number in hand I drove 30 minutes that night to this store, which is a Verizon franchise, to return the equipment. The customer service person at this Verizon franchise store scanned the equipment and tells me that it is not in their system yet. He explains that sometimes it does not load in the system, the service was cancelled but it is in limbo until the new service is connected and that I would have to leave with the equipment and come back tomorrow. I explain that Verizon told me to come here and issued a confirmation number. At this point, a company that cared about customer service would say, "Look, this happens sometimes. So, I can't issue you a Verizon receipt until the system updates and I can scan the equipment in. But, what I can do is take the equipment and issue you a receipt from this store for now. Then tomorrow we will scan it in, email you the Verizon receipt and send the equipment back to Verizon." He does not say that, he just says it is store policy he can't take the equipment. So, I suggest "You could just take it and scan it in tomorrow." At this point I truly figured he or his manager would call Verizon and straighten this out. Instead, he replies "No, you see all of these people (pointing to the other customers in the store), they all have the same problem, we cannot take equipment back until it is in the system ...and if you leave it here it goes on the truck back to Verizon unscanned and Verizon sends you to collections." In one breath he made the store's problem the customer's problem, spoke badly of Verizon and managed to threaten the customer. My mother, who is not very tech savvy, was having trouble with her Iphone. She decided to upgrade but was worried about losing treasured photos and text messages from her grandchildren. Richard P of the Shrewsbury Verizon store was instrumental in a smooth transition. Richard was patient and able to basically replicate the original phone's content on the new model. D0 NOT GO TO THIS VERIZON STORE!!! It was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had with Verizon, and I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. I wish I had this tall man's name who waited on me, cas he was rude and did not care about why I was there, nor did he care about looking my account up. All this rep wanted to do is sell me a new phone, and tell me that my phone is 2 years old and outdated. I asked him to at least check my phone, his reply was that it did not matter, cas it was 2 years old and the software was outdated. He told me that I will continue to have problems unless I upgrade to a new model... I know people that have iphone's for 4 years and longer and they don't have to get a new iphone every 2 years. Worst customer service ever...staff is ride unprofessional they stood around talking to each other instead of taking care of customers...As instructed by Verizon this was the only place that takes equipment back...this employee with an attitude didn't want to accept the return since it had a ups label on the box....wanted me to take it to the ups store instead and I refused..he was angry at the fact that I interrupted his hang out time with the other two employees there that he opened the box picked up the dvr box and threw the box back inside as to show his anger.....he continues by saying well if my system does not accept it I can't take it...I stated that Verizon instructed me to drop it off here and for him to call Verizon, his replied was I'm not calling anyone, you call them.....I grabbed the box and proceeded to leave and ask for a supervisor I which he stated their is no supervisor here with an attitude and upset...as I was walking out he made some comments as insult on the way out which I could not hear but all three employees were laughing....if this is not the worst customer service ever I don't know what is....this is the first and the last time that I would ever step foot on that store only garbage work there.... read more

If I could, I would give this place less than 0. Last week I went there, because my phone didn't work properly. The guy named Dwayne was the one who tried to help me. It took two hours (during that time, he started helping another customer - spending 90% of his time devoted to them. At this time two other workers were doing nothing). He asked if I agreed to lose messages because he tried everything and the only thing he knew to do is to do a factory reset. He said that he saved everything on the cloud, and we could replace it after the reset. After he finish restoring my phone, I lost everything from my phone (all files, pictures, messages, events on my calendar, all apps, ....etc. JUST EVERYTHING!!! And the cloud was empty- NOTHING TO RESTORE. He gave me my cell phone back like nothing happened. Then he wanted to sell me a new phone for an additional $400!!! Stay away from here.
