I have had horrible experience at the University mall location and dreaded getting a new phone. My boyfriend recommended this store because he had great experience here. This store was amazing. They are well staffed and even though everyone had a customer we were warmly greeted coming in the door. We were lucky and Haz came over to help me select a new phone. He couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. I traded out my old phone 6 with iPhone 14. Got the best deal and what accessories I needed. Haz took exceptional care with us and was able to transfer all my data to the new phone. The whole experience went so quickly we had time to go out to lunch after. I just visited to to update my father's phone on a Monday morning. There were understaffed- only two guys, but they were making it work and being very welcoming to anyone who was waiting. They treated me and my father very well and helped us get updated and ready for my father to start using his phone right away. This has to be a very difficult location to work with all of the snowbirds that come in and aren't as tech savvy, but these two men were upbeat and so good at their jobs, they made everyone feel taken care of. I went to verizon with several questions about my account. I met with a staff member named Soul Rose, who was extraordinary. He not only was able to answer my questions and help me choose plans with information he also did comparatives for me. He educated me about new plans and eplxained things I did not even know about! He reviewed all the latest plans and together with the oversight of the business manager who happened to be there I picked a new plan. I am very, very happy with it! He answered all my requirements and added to being pleased to be a Verizon customer. I also want to acknowledge Soul Rose specifically - he is fantastic competent intelligent, professional kind and friendly. Soul Rose is amazing and a great asset to your company. I am so grateful he is there as he was a large part and is a large part of my continuing with verizon, as a very satisfied customers. I highly suggest this store and ask for Soul Rose if you can. I don't even know where to start...... I came in a month ago with my 87 year old mom to buy a few new phones and the salesman (Tasean T) convinced me to try the new Verizon 5g home internet and told me if I don't like it, I can return it back to the store money back guarantee. Fast forward almost to a month later my mom went into the store to return the unopened 5g home internet and she approached Tasean T and told him about her concerns. He proceeded to be rude to my 87 year old mom and told my mom that you can't return the box meanwhile last time I was in the store he told us to our faces we could. He than proceeded to ignore my mom and help another customer. So, I don't know what's going on here? I don't know if Verizon has went down by hiring liars or this is your new policy to lie to customers. I personally would not recommend this store to any friends and family because I don't want them to experience what I experienced. read more

Absolutely terrible staff, dismissive and liars. Came in with my wife to possibly upgrade her phone. The guy said that they can order the phone and if we choose not to upgrade, it doesn't cost us anything. When the phone comes in, they will just give it to the next person that wants to upgrade if we decide not to upgrade. That ended up being a lie as I was charged on my next bill for the phone. I come back to this location and another guy grabs the old phone Turns it towards me to unlock it, starts going in the settings and deleting everything. I have no idea what he's doing as I cannot see the phone, I'm thinking this is a joke but it is not. I'm tell them I'm not upgrading and he just brushes it off so I grabbed my phone and walk out. If I could do less than 1 star I would. I have a basic phone plan with no internet- I came in to upgrade and add unlimited internet service. The guy started telling me that there is no more room in the towers to add me in. Never heard that one before. I sat in the car, downloaded the app and upgraded in 2 clicks. If you want to go to a Verizon store and get top notch service, I would recommend asking for Ashley at this store. The store is clean and they have a must wear mask policy. She will enforce it. They also take your phone there for a trade in and put your screen savers on and give the extra mile in service that you used to get at the big stores 10 years ago. I also recommend the iPhone 12 if you find yourself reading on your phone. It's an upgrade that is worth it. read more

We easily made an appointment, were helped right away and our agent persisted until he was able to resolve the challenges with our out- dated phone until the process was complete. I can't say enough about Ashley Blount and the exceptional service I receive each time I go into Verizon . Her attentiveness and professionalism goes over and above each and every time. Having 5 children and grandma on our account means a lot of help needed and Ashley is always there with her beautiful personality and readiness to help. She takes the time to explain things to me and always offers any new ways to save money on the account. I hope her upper management realizes what an asset she is . I bought a new iPhone 11 last night. Sales rep Ashley was so helpful, personable, and friendly and made sure all my apps transferred easily from my old phone to my new one. Although I was the only customer, I was pleased that Ashley was wearing a mask (as was I) and that social distancing was in place and hand sanitizer was available. This store provides the worst customer service and the worst customer experience I've ever had anywhere in my entire life. My boyfriend and I went in a MONTH ago to upgrade to the 12 Pro Max. He did an early upgrade program where they should've taken his phone at the time of purchase, but they didn't and informed us he would have a shipping label sent to us. I did a trade in where they were supposed to have a shipping label sent to our home so we could mail them into Verizon. We never received either shipping labels and after a month of waiting we called Verizon and they told us to go to a corporate store and both could be turned in there. We went to the corporate store and they couldn't do anything because we didn't buy the phones there and sent us back to this poorly, and low knowledge staffed Verizon retailer since we'd purchased the phones at this location. Alright, no problem, annoying because they couldn't help, but whatever we'll get it done there. We go in, explain the situation and sat down with a Verizon employee to figure it out. The manager had completely screwed up our trade ins at purchase, never finalized the trade in process, and never confirmed our addresses on the account for the shipping. She made multiple mistakes throughout the purchase process and it was obvious she was not focused in any way on helping us and doing it properly. Today when went in, the guy at the store got us in contact with Verizon Customer Loyalty over the phone and we spent over an hour at this location working with customer loyalty and the employee trying to fix the mess that this store had originally created. Over the course of this hour the employee told us multiple times ver batim "I don't understand why you guys are making such a big deal about trading these phones in with Verizon, you could sell them online for $700-$800." Then continues to power our old phones on and inspect them himself and tries to offer me the Verizon trade in value of my old phone ($452) out of his own pocket in cash so that he could take it and sell it online. Last time I checked, I wasn't at craigslist or facebook marketplace headquarters. I'm at a Verizon store, as a previously happy Verizon customer, trying to get the promised credit from Verizon for my old phone, so that my bill is correct and straightened out. We told the employee, "No, do it right, we don't care about any extra money, we just want this done properly through Verizon." For some reason that was too difficult for him to wrap his head around, and us rejecting that shady offer seemed to give him some sort of attitude. We sat around while he talked to Customer Loyalty for another 10-20 minutes before leaving since he was being so irritable with us after not letting him privately purchase our phones directly for cash. This is the shadiest, most uninformed, unprofessional, disorganized, careless, and rude business, let alone a Verizon retailer, that we've ever dealt with. Absolutely disgusted with the service they attempted to provide us, and the mess that they created with our purchases. I feel bad for the Customer Loyalty representative that doesn't work for this poorly operated franchise who ended up fixing the giant headache and less they created. We will never be coming back to this location, we're speaking with Verizon Corporate, the BBB, and advising anyone and everyone to never use this Verizon retailer. 11/13/2020 I recently had another great experience at the Verizon store at 3577 Clark Road, Sarasota, FL. I purchased the new Apple iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch series 6. I worked with Ashley who is the manager and the level of customer service that she provided was incredible. She knew the specs of all the new products and clearly answered my questions. The store was busy but she gave me her undivided attention. She was very genuine and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the store. I also observed great teamwork between Ashley and her employees. They were all very professional and were quick to help one another. One year ago I purchased an Apple iPhone from Ashley at the same store and had not seen her since then. When I walked into the store to make my purchase a few days ago Ashley looked at me and said hello Pat. This was just the beginning of another wonderful customer experience with Ashley and her team.
