Walked in with my mom the manager Gabriella was talking to an employee. We walked up to them they never looked at us finally we said hi they wouldn't really even speak to us. She did not want to see us. My mom told her why she need to be seen and said she couldn't be seen today my mom explained she had driven 30 minutes and spoke to a verizon agent that told her to come in. Then Gabriella started to walk away I said I also wanted to be seen. She said oh you have an account. (Now ok I was in sweat pants I did hurt my foot) but surprisingly I do have my own plan. I explained I had an upgrade, I had alot of complicated plan issues. She said all of that needs to be done online. I was shocked. I have a credit card through verizon 4 lines and a watch. After today I will be canceling all my plans and switching to a new carrier! read more

This was by far my best experience with Verizon. I walked in with a new phone, and I wanted to activate it. We tried doing this over the phone, but to no avail. The young man working there greeted us right when we walked in and spent about 5-10 minutes solving our issue. Done! Both associates there were very nice and friendly. Stopped in for a simple iPad transfer to my account. The manager checked me in and told me to have a seat, even though there was only one other customer in the store. I bought a galaxy phone outright, then they had sold me a faulty phone and had to replace such faulty phone with another galaxy. Then this Galaxy phone had problems. I went in to verizon after making an appointment and nobody that worked there could fix the problem ,saying that they don't have an IT program. They also said just go to geek.Squad at best buy. And just so you know, Geek Squad in the San Luis location does not service Samsung phones. I waited 30 minutes until it time for my turn. I was going to upgrade for iphone 16 pro max. the store manager told me they no longer do iPhone 16 pro max since 17 came out. If that is true, why they still have their display up for iPhone 16 pro max, that should take it down. I have to wait until the iPhone 17 pro max ship to my house since they don't have any available in stock. They need to get it together and work on their inventory little better. I have been a Verizon customer since the very first cell phone and Verizon opened its doors in 2000. I have become disappointed with their price hikes, when other carriers are much lower. Their customer service and in our local store is horribly lacking when you have a question or a challenge with a new phone set up. Recently after purchasing my husband's new phone through Verizon, I needed some assistance with the transfer, went to the store, and was charged an additional $35 just for help After I had already paid for the activation. While I was receiving the rapid fire verbal instruction for a question with my iPad while I was there, I asked for a pen so I could write down the series of commands I was being given. The kid behind the counter, tossed his pen across the counter at me . Without a piece of paper. The piece of paper that I did received from him was the back of a receipt, not mine. I have recently read that in the first quarter of 2025 Verizon has lost almost 290,000 customers, Verizon, you've just lost another one. I am now saving $1400 a year going through another carrier. If I could rate it less than one star, I would. read more

I went to the Apple store to get my phone repaired but it had to be replaced. My phone wouldn't pull over to my new phone and they advised I needed to go to Verizon and suggested I go to Mill Street since it was close and I was already parked. Now, the nightmare begins. I arrive and the indifferent check in girl advises it will be 10 minutes while she is wiping her running nose on the inside of her shirt. After 25 minutes, I ask how much longer will it be? She says I have no idea, I can't predict how long each customer will take. More customers are coming in and she is telling them to wait will be 10 minutes, ha ha. After one hour and 20 minutes, I am helped. (I would not have waited if I had a working phone). The rep was also sick, coughing and snorting. I ask Are you sick? Maybe, a little. I hand him my new phone so he can get his germs all over it. He says The number is not moving over. WHY DO YOU THINK I AM HERE? He calls Verizon and is on the phone for 45 minutes on speaker phone and part of this time is discussing his "nice" name, the weather in SLO, is the store busy, and then she says, there must be a cliche. Tell the customer to come back in 48 hours. He hangs up and says you'll need to come back in 48 hours or you can call. Really, with the phone that doesn't work? Oh, that's right! Two and 1/2 hours of sick employees and bad attitude and still no phone. A total used car experience. The next morning, I went to Verizon in Arroyo Grande. What a breath of fresh air! They were wonderful, helpful and persistent. They acted like they cared. 45 minutes later, problem solved. They were fantastic. Skip paid parking, rude employees and the homeless and drive to AG for a clean, pleasant environment and free parking. WE ALL DESERVE BETTER THAN THE TREATMENT AT THE MILL STREET STORE. I lost my phone on June 14th, picked up a new one at Apple and brought it to Verizon for a new sim to get service going same day. The replacement SIM card was free. They pointed me to the covers for my new phone and anticipated that I'd want a glass protector. They even put the glass protector on. Was "helped" by Peter Hall who told me about a great discount I could receive if I switched plans. There printer was conveniently broken so they couldn't print out the invoice, but I trusted them, of course. Went to check my bill, and not only was the price NOT what Peter Hall said, I was not even on the plan that he suggested I take for the discount. I tried to get this issue resolved, but they wont help me. Tried to get on my old plan again, but guess what? The plan I was on does not exist anymore so I am stuck with this more expensive plan that I did not sign up for. When confronted, Peter admitted to the manager, Monica Chavez, that he lied, so what did she do? Nothing. Not a dang thing. Went to this Verizon because we have had bad experiences in the Verizon in Arroyo Grande ( they tell you your bill will be one price and it's much higher). We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon. There were 4-5 people ahead of us with an estimated 30-40 min wait. We sat down and noticed only 2 associates were helping a customer with 2-3 other employees talking with one another. After 15 minutes, the check in associate asked us if we would like to make an appt for the next day, we kindly said no thank you. After another 5 min the same associate contacted us again and said our wait time is now 45 min because people with appointments are showing up. We were there for 20 minutes and only two employees were helping people. In that 20 minute wait nobody was helped because the two associates who were working were busy the whole time with their customer. The group of employees talking never stopped talking and never helped anyone for those 20 minutes. Then we got asked twice to make an appt for the next day. We have our four phones paid for and now we are proud subscribers of AT&T. Don't bother with this store their customer service is horrible. read more

So I went into the San Luis location to give them another shot at doing the right thing, they did the exact opposite. I needed to open a few more lines and I asked if there were any specials. I was told, sure thing. The deal was 49 dollars for a line and a phone (post payed) which is what he told me AFTER he had already checked my account to see if that was possible. About 20 minutes later he says "well, it's gonna have to be "pretty paid' after all. So I said "ok". Then another 20 minutes go by and he says we're all good. Another 20 minutes goes by and by this time he's taken my debit card twice, my drivers license twice and asked quite a few questions. Then finally he has the phones in his hands and please understand that I've already told him "Sandi" had already cost me over 2k (I do hope she enjoyed any commission or bonus she may have gotten for the money she caused me to pay for her lack of transmitting information that would have protected me. I visited the Verizon office on Mill St. in San Luis Obispo because my phone was no longer working for either making or receiving calls. On the first visit, the young man serving me had no idea what was wrong and gave up, saying I should phone "tech support," to which, amazingly,he did not know the number (he sought the manager for help). On my second visit, still needing help, I waited for over 30" while others were served before me, so I left. A helpful rep, Alex, did help me on the third visit, instructing me to go home and to disconnect and reconnect the Verizon unit. That didn't work, so I returned a fourth time, Alex absent, and dealt with a rather impolite woman, who tried inserting several "sim cards,"and then claimed my phone would work at home. It did not. Here I go again?! The people who sell and provide service at this location are actually very well trained and helpful. BUT, if you expect much follow through after the sale, good luck. Here's what happened this time: After contacting Asurion to replace my cracked screen (so I could get a sexy new X), they canceled. I asked to reschedule for the same time next week, and they tried to kick me back to Verizon or to make another call back to another line to reschedule. Finally the woman on the line agreed to reschedule me. The time rolls around again and no show, no call, no nothing. Mind you, I paid in full for this service in advance. Today, I called the local store and cried my woes to a "Key Holder" by the name of Shea. Shea informed my in a very polished way that he couldn't do didly squat about my dilemma except refer me to Verizon Customer "Care". "Holy Poop" I said! "Really"?! I was then informed that I was not entitled to talk to his manager or get any local store help unless I physically came to the store (again). Well, shame on me I guess for expecting "local service" from a local storefront. I'm looking forward to finally letting my Verizon contract expire. Crap service. Thomas, the store GM had no explanation as to why I hadn't been sent the LifeProof case ordered over a month previous. No call, no email, no LifeCase, no customer service. Verizon has SLO in a headlock. Sadly, a lot of us are here bc they have no competition for the best service. If there were, I wouldn't still be with Verizon. I was noting interestingly about a previous experience I had a bad experience, and reviewed them in kind(Mill St), and now today, 6 years later, here I am again. Ditto to what the others say about customer service. I tried to return an unopened battery charger (that was purchased for my mom in the hospital, she has since passed) which was never used. Oops, I didn't notice the 14 day cancel policy, not even a return for credit, for something they are still selling currently on their shelf. Not to mention my husband, I and I even had my mom signed up for Verizon service. The other issue I had today was I was about a used phone that I had used for two days as my phone was getting repaired that I want to resell.. It is still in excellent condition (duh) but understandably they would not return it (due to the sale date, I waited too long on THIS item), so I asked them clean the data (Spring St, PR). Then before I listed it, I drove down to Mill St, WAITED to find out if the phone was unlocked before I put it on CL. "It was!" Note this is my second trip to V re: this one minute thing. A buyer bought it from me, and then I returned their money as the phone was not unlocked. Nice. So I brought that into Verizon too, and they refused to check to see if it was locked, said "it should be, go to another carrier to find out if their sim card works." Wha? Are you kidding me? The wealthiest service on the planet, and they can't test it themselves. The other fun part of this story is that I was on hold for so long that by the time someone came on, I was already there. The first call robot stated "there is noone here to take your call, we're too busy," the next agent was unable to help me set an appt, so of course, I had to pay for parking, waste time going in, and put my name on a list. Please don't tell your customers to call a number to set an appt if you don't provide this service. How is it that we as a society put up with corporations like these?
