If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I ordered a phone for my sister for her birthday and when she went by the representative didn't even attempt to help her. She let her know the phone was ordered online and she was just there to pick it up. The representative didn't even attempt to gather any information about the order or even try to assist. Instead they insisted the phone isnt there and the one they have is for another customer. For one, how do you even know what phone we're picking up without asking? I believe they sold the phone to gain commissions on it because they probably dont get commission from online orders. The funniest part is I got an email saying my order was canceled after 72 hours because I didnt pick up the phone. What a freaking joke. Save yourself the trouble and do not go here. read more

Update: I reordered the phone and had it delivered to my home. Cut out the middleman "store".

I went into the store with a network issue. I was not receiving incoming calls. The clerk's (while friendly) answer was that my plan was old and my phone was old (it is 14 months old and an iPhone 16) and that she could sell me a new phone and update my plan while not evening attempting to address the problem. When I said that I was not buying a new phone until I knew what the problem was she said we only sell phones here. read more

Was having problems with my phone and finally updated after 5 years. Got a brand new Samsung I am now very happy with. Was having problems with my new phone at first. The on line tech coaches tried helping but to no avail. Suggested I exchange the phone. Did and after three days received the new phone. Was having the same issues. Leticia at this store is very professional and found the issue with the phone in about 15 minutes and fixed the issue that the tech coaches couldn't do in 4 hours on the phone Leticia thank you so much for your patience understanding, your professionalism and your customer service. You truly calmed this old customer down. read more

Extremely unprofessional, unhelpful, condescending and rude service. I'm not sure of the Hispanic lady's name that helped me but she had a binder on her desk that said Leticia. Either way, she has very poor customer service, basically ignored and scoffed at my questions. Would not return solely because of her unprofessionalism, someone needs to put her in check, unless the store is going for an unwelcoming environment. read more

Probably the worst service and worst Verizon store there is. Went in last month and spoke with Armando he seemed pleasant but wasn't trained on the appropriate promotions. Told me I would get an iPhone 11 on a special promotion for $199 with a tablet trade in. Also told me I would get an iwatch series 5 for $100 with a special promotion they had going on if I got the iPhone 11. He opened up multiple lines on my account without my authorization. He said he would email me a receipt and I never got one. He said my bill would be close to $500 but not to worry he would Lower it if I came in and waive the activation fee. I came in a month later to speak to Leticia who was even worse. She had no interest in helping me and took my number said she would talk to her boss and call me back the following day, she let me know that Armando no longer worked there...omg go figure...considering he told me he had just gotten his second dui and was staying in a sober living home and he would be quitting soon it was just a side job to make more money...and guess what guys...you guessed it...leticia never called me back!!! I went in the next day and there was a "temp girl who came from another store who couldn't help me and gave me the managers business card" the name of the manager is Nafika and the temp girl told me the number on the card wasn't working she recommend I call 611 on my phone and get assistance through customer service. The store has been robbed now nice and that makes sense considering they always only have one person working that doesn't know what they're doing. This is the worst service I've ever received. I wouldn't recommend coming here to anyone who needs Verizon service. They're rude, inconsiderate and don't care about the customers needs. Stay far far away! read more

Russell Cellular, exclusively an authorized retailer for Verizon, opened recently on Palm Ave. near Imperial Beach. My wife and I went into the store on June 6, 2019 were waited on by the manager, Nafikah. I told her that I had done my research and wanted new Samsung Galaxy J7 phones for both of us. Several hours sales pitches later, we agreed to purchase 2 LG G8 phones with Nafikah's assurance that the new phones were very similar to our old phones, and much better that Galaxy J7s. Numerous times we told her that we are technologically challenged, and her come back was always something the effect that we would pick up on the LG G8s with no problem. We agreed that the new plan would be the same as what we had, and the only in crease in cost would be the monthly payment for the new phones. She agreed to transfer all of the contents from our own phones to the new ones. This took forever, and my wife's was still downloading when we left for home Over the next we days we learned that very little we knew from our old Samsung applied to LG. We also learned that none of my old contacts transferred to the LG, and only parts of my wife's contacts made it to the new phone. (She erased my entire phone, so I could not rebuild my contact list. I emailed every contact requesting their phone numbers, and heard only from my elderly contacts! (There were numerous other problems with Nafikah, but I am touching only on the biggies.) After threee days of frustration, we went back to Russell Cellular and told Nafikah we were returning th LGs, wanted full credit with no fees, and the Samsungs we came in for originally.. We left a visibly unhappy Nafikah as we went home with our new Samsungs. Today I called Verizon Customer Service to get one simple thing done, A Verizon message kept popping up on our phones saying that we would be charged $5 monthly for cloud after our free 30 day trail elapsed; Nafikah claimed nothing could be done until I received my first new bill, and I doubted her statement. Customer Service easily deleted the free trial. The Customer Service went over all things my bill would include. $10 per month per phone for insurance, or $240 per year for phones that retail for $230 each! Insurance was NEVER discussed with Nafikah, so I guess that was her decision alone. During the sales pitch Nafikah observed that we didn't have enough data. I told her that we have had the same Verizon plan since 2012, and have never exceeded our monthly limit, so we would stick to the exact old plan. But I learned through Customer Service that NAFIKAH KNEW WHAT WAS BEST FOR US, AND SWITCHED US TO AN UNLIMITED PLAN AT MORE THAN DOUBLE OUR OLD PLAN COST.!! Customer Service switched us back to the old plan, and cancelled the insurance. read more
