I didn't have an appointment. Just walked in and he did an excellent job of describing what I could expect, options and pricing. In the end, I decided not to recover my photos, but given this service, I am considering cancelling my monthly insurance policy with my carrier since I fee confident about repairs and/or replacements from here.

On January 7, 2026, Fix Station diagnosed my iPhone 16 Pro as having a damaged motherboard and…read morepresented me with the option of trading it in for one of their phones. I was sold a used, unlocked iPhone 16 Pro from their display case for $850 cash (they do not accept credit cards), based on the representation that the phone was fully functional and suitable for normal use. Within hours, the phone showed serious defects, including failure to charge properly and rapid battery drain. I returned to the store within 22 hours (January 8, 2026) to return the phone and request a refund. The staff refused to refund me and claimed--without evidence--that I had damaged the phone. A partial refund was briefly offered and then withdrawn after a heated confrontation, which I recorded. I clearly stated that I did not consent to repairs and did not want a newly purchased phone to require fixing. I requested only a refund. Law enforcement was present to document the refusal to refund a defective product. I have since sent a formal demand letter requesting a refund and have received no response. I am now preparing to pursue this matter in small claims court. I paid $850 cash for a phone that did not work, lost my trade-in phone, and was forced to purchase a replacement elsewhere just to be able to work. I would strongly caution others before doing business here.

It's not just this AT&T store that has terrible service -- the problem affects the entire company…read more If you're thinking about trading in your old phone to get the new iPhone 17 Pro, please listen carefully: it's a scam. They tell you that doing an upgrade is no problem, but what they don't tell you in the contract is that the value of your old phone is not given to you as a gift card, and it's not applied immediately to reduce the price of your new phone. It also doesn't help you escape paying $200, $300, or even $600 a month in service fees. That money simply never shows up. Instead, they give you a tiny credit of $15 to $20 per month, forcing you to stay with them for 3 to 4 years. And if you try to leave earlier, they won't apply the credits, they won't unlock the phone, and they try to charge you the full $1200 price of the device. On top of that, they won't give you back your old phone that you traded in. To make it worse, they block access to your account, they don't show you how much you owe, and they don't let you see the remaining balance on your new phone. I wish I had known about all the lawsuits this company has. Please, do not switch to AT&T and do not do their so-called upgrade. Even if it's hard, save up two or three paychecks and buy your phone directly from Apple. That way, you can use it with any carrier and pay $30 to $60 a month, without being trapped in hidden fees or manipulative contracts.
