I had the WORST experience at Verizon in West Salem today !!! I had upgraded my Iphone there in August the employees were extremely nice, humorous, and seemed competent. The transferring of info from my former Apple phone to the new took quite some time that day hence i had to rush out. I did not realize that many of the issues I had with my older phone seemed to be transferred to my new phone. Due to severe illness these past 2 months I only had the time and ability to stop in to this Verizon location today. Upon entering a very glum, expressionless man finally looked up (when I was about a foot away from him) and somewhat "greeted" me. His name was Kyle. He had zero people skills and was unwilling to assist me with even the most minute task. He suddenly said " there are cameras & audio all around here ", perplexed I said "ok & that matters why?" He then told me to turn my head to the right and read the signs. Again, extremely confused I asked "ok ... and...? " He curtly told me they are NOT a Verizon company store, he was unable to assist me BUT he could sell me a new phone !!! He even suggested I buy a phone other than an Apple .. ?!? WHY ? He told me to drive to Keizer where there was a "company store". I asked at least twice to speak with another employee or supervisor, he said he was the only one there. This was appalling service from a most disrespectful, unpersonable young man !!!! Evidently the "non company" stores are only there to upsell customers not to assist them post purchase ! Horrific ! Verizon should certainly vet those retailers who represent them more thoroughly. Minus 10 stars for this location read more

I rarely write reviews, but I had to in this situation. I went in on 9/18 around 5:00PM. There were no customers and only one rep. I needed a new phone which I did get later in the day at a different location. The rep that worked there was one of the most condescending human beings I have ever met. He tried to make me feel stupid about every question I asked. I don't know how this person can be in customer service. The other location, the rep said you are the third customer to come in today to complain about him. This person is losing you business at an aggressive level. read more

Please just spare yourself and go to Market Street or the Keizer location (received great service at each). The service interaction at Edgewater was comparable to a spoiled teenage girl talking to her parents. She seemed wholly inconvenienced that we even stepped into the store for help. So uncomfortable...and sad for the owners to have lost the business. I will never return to this store. To explain how bad it was, we took our business across town during rush hour traffic because instinct told us that this person wouldn't be lifting a finger to try to help find us the best deal. read more

I pay $200 for two lines and awful service. I've asked several times to renegotiate and lower my bill. I was told there's nothing they can do and I'm stuck with this ridiculously high bill every month. My partner just went into another Verizon store and was given a deal that's about $85 lower than mine. He inquired about mine and was told my plan doesn't even exist anymore, and I should have been offered the choice to switch. Especially since I've been paying a $20 per line connection fee every month THAT DOESN'T EXIST anymore! Verizon has literally stolen a couple thousand dollars from me. The location in Salem on 535 Edgewater St NW terrible customer service, liars and very unprofessional. Was told one price and charged another. We were charged for a service not received. We have filed a formal complaint and we are awaiting a response from their Victra corporate office and their higher ups. read more

Verizon really deceived us out of a bunch of money. They literally lied to us while setting up our phone stuff. They told us our bill would be 140$ for 4 lines. I confirmed so many times that 1. THAT will be the price and 2. There will be NO contract. He assured me over and over. He convinced us to trade in our current phones to get new ones, and assured us with the trade in we wouldn't have to pay anything on the new phones. Well we have put over 1000$ into Verizon since October (it is now December) , our bill is NOT 140$, it is 260$ and there is no way to lower it. We COULD leave Verizon right now but that would require us to pay full price for all 4 phones, so basically it feels like they stole our phones. There's no way to get them back and it's looking like we won't get any credit for all of the money we have shoveled into Verizon. If we want the trade in credit to be valid we have to stay with Verizon for 36 months(no contract? Yeah right. ) So I am strongly considering just forking up the money to pay for the phones and severing ourselves from them. I just need to figure out if the phones will be unlocked or not. From Google it seems like they may take 60 days to unlock after purchasing them. The whole reason we even switched phone services was because we were with MetroPCS and it worked fine for me but my boyfriend got no reception at home or at work. It was frustrating so we looked into other options. Verizon supposedly has great service. So we went with that option under the condition that our bill would be ~140$~. And THE KICKER is.. I have had NON STOP issues with my phone & the service. The service absolutely sucks for me, my phone has so many issues (my texting won't send or receive any multimedia, my phone randomly says I'm calling out of the country, when people call me my phone rings but it doesn't give me the option to answer it or anything, it won't even tell me whose calling til I miss the call. As well as other things). Seriously, nobody go with Verizon. They are deceptive, and not worth the hassle or money at ALL. read more

I would start by not even giving this store a rating. Customer service at it's WORSE... my wife went in to see if we. An switch one line to another iPhone, and the representative basically did t even look at the phone, did absolutely nothing and said go to the apple store. I have to say, customer service is bad. And taking them at their word as to the cost of my new phone was a big mistake. I was looking at a new iPhone (Xr) and was told that, all said, with my trade-in & down payment, my bill would increase by $17/mo. I said I wanted the same plan I was on, etc. But when I looked at projected payments, it appears to be up $40 instead of $17. There are also costs for switching, which (in my opinion) are excessive and not mentioned during the transaction. Having received no call that my phone was in, I tracked it on Verizon site; was told it was at the Edgewater store. Of course it wasn't, when I drove there. This is not store employees' fault, necessarily. Faulty tracking system. Wrapped up in a home project m, I waited for a call. Nope. Called to see if phone was there. It was. Went to pick it up, and an employee interrupted the one serving me to say I'd hung up on him when he called. I hadn't, that I know of. But apparently he had reached the end of his customer-service repertoire, because making another call or texting me was too much. Yikes. Recommend you shop elsewhere.
