On June 26, 2020, staff were doing 6-ft measurements for COVID-19 social distancing floor strips. While doing that, one staff member made a derogatory statement towards the other, "Quit being such a 'Karen' about it." While neither of the staff members were named Karen and assuming their ethnic group is not Caucasian, they made this remark in a joking and demeaning manner. Amid the widespread social tensions lately, this type of behavior by Verizon representatives and/or their subsidiaries is extremely offensive and discriminatory. Also, as I walked into the store and up to the counter, I was told by staff, in a raised voice: "STEP BACK" [away from the counter]. I did not understand this request because no other customer was at the counter when I walked up to it, and was following COVID-19 social distancing guidelines as well as wearing a face mask. My response, as I stepped back, was: "What?" The staff member repeated, again in a raised voice, and pointed: "STEP BACK - 6 ft" I was not asked to step back, I was demanded to step back. I walked out of the store after this, and while I was walking out I old them that they are going to lose business over this. I was met with another snarky response by staff: "This is the law!" Two days later, I ended up taking my business to another local authorized Verizon dealer on Clearwater Ave - Cellular Sales. They had the same social distancing floor strips, but did not yell at me to stand right where they wanted me, nor did they make racist comments, etc. I've been shopping throughout this pandemic, and not once have I been treated with such disrespect. While I understand that the staff members here at GoWireless may be sensitive to current events, I do forgive them. However, my suggestion is that their management at least provide further training on how to engage customers politely and with more professionalism. read more

My phone is OK, but I just don't like the add-ons they offer. I bought an iPhone6 & they offered an outside insurance plan through GRIP (A product of Cell Brokerage, LLC). I went into this store to ask how to get a phone replacement, but the employee said they do not deal with these insurance plans and that I would have to contact GRIP on my own. Fair enough. I finally broke down and called GRIP. Found out the deductible is $199! (I paid $299). I've paid $9.99 for 19months. So definitely a rip off. DO NOT go for the GRIP "voluntary replacement insurance program". Because you're basically BUYING another phone. Wish this store would just stop using this company, but I'm sure they get a cut from it. Lame. read more

Well, clearly I visited after they changed the staffing! My family just moved here and I absolutely have to come brag about this store! The first person that helped me was the Store Manager, MJ. He is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I think I was especially impressed because I very begrudgingly went in at the request of my husband to switch from AT&T. I had a bunch of misconceptions about Verizon & their pricing. MJ was so patient and he took the time to clearly explain everything I was curious about without rushing me or making me feel like I was asking too many questions. I'm also just impressed with how he carries himself. He's professional, personable and detailed. I left the store absolutely ready to switch carriers! He has since taken time other than that and has shown himself to be so helpful and encouraging! Tonight I dropped in for something quick and met Isaac. What a funny employee! I took care of the little thing I came in there for and spent the rest of the time in polite and funny conversation! You just don't expect that when you walk in a wireless store. I could not be more impressed with this store and I'm so happy they are my local store. It is nice to feel that way when you walk in somewhere! read more

Wonderful experience! Finally got my own line and it was quick and easy!! They did a good job. However, when the kid put my address down for billing he didn't ask me directly, just took it from my license and didn't verify it with me.... That's an old address that I have yet to change. What a joke. 66% of the staff didn't have the time to acknowledge people. Then I discovered the promise to hold a product was BS. Much like the way they run the establishment. Honestly I've had better customer service at Walmart buying highlighters for 5 bucks than this store for 300+ dollar purchases. What a joke. Update::!! best buy was able to handle the purchase just fine. Even had no problem with adding on accessories. Took cash even said thank you. I was acknowledged right away and the folks were very busy but still took me less time to get my phone than it did for go wireless to even acknowledge I was in their store with cash in my hand. Maybe they should train their management and staff at real retailers before they print business cards for their people. Business students sure could learn how not to manage and run a business from this group. read more

Manager of the store, Ashley, was an absolute rockstar in getting us taken care of, optimizing discounts, backing up data and setting up new devices. I should have bought the first time I went in because I was dealing with the manager. Instead I decided to think about it and went back the next day. The guy was okay, just constantly trying to make a deal which means signing up for their "loyalty" program which means spending more money now to save money in the future. I really felt bad for the customers waiting behind me because there was only one employee so everyone had to wait. This store does not stand behind it's written offers. Black Friday (11/27/15), we upgraded one phone, transferred one line onto the plan, and replaced an existing phone on an existing plan. Several promotional offers were promised at that time. It has taken calling or going into the store EVERY month, before receiving most of the promotional credits promised. The most recent $100 credit was finally given in August 2016! Even though we were provided written documentation of the promotional discounts by a store employee on a "GoWireless" form, the final $100 credit has not been honored. Many months ago, while at the retail location, the store manager pulled the promotion up on his screen and spoke with Verizon regarding the credit due. The issue was not resolved that day, but was told he would get it straightened out and would get back to us. Needless to say, we are the ones that had to continually pursue to no avail. Writing reviews is something I rarely provide; however, the public should be aware of the unethical behavior of GoWireless. read more

He is really cleaning up the store. There are negative reviews on here that were prior to his time. They are no longer valid. This place is full of idiots. I went there because they were close and convenient. I'll never go there again because they are a bunch of untrained, arrogant little pukes. I was quoted a certain price when talking with their Telesales Division. The sales rep at this store quoted me about twenty dollars per month more than my previous quote. I informed her of this, and she then called her supervisor, who told her she was right. Top 3 in Customer Service that I have ever received. Let's be honest, usually we all dread having to deal with any wireless companies. But I can say after my experience yesterday I am very pleased to say I won't be dealing with that feeling anymore now that I have found a great Verizon location with AMAZING customer service. Right when I walked in I was greeted by everyone working, then quickly assisted by Isaac. Isaac was the gentleman who help me with purchasing my new phone. He was informative, knowledgeable, and extremely patient with me when it came to my million's of questions. He even put on my screen protector for me! All the men working were such amazing help. In 2008, I briefly lived in Richland and signed up for the internet. I got a job in Tennessee and moved on but emailed and called verizon to disconnect me so everything seemed fine. I had my address changed and started getting bills in Tennessee for the verizon internet in Richland! I told them I wasn't there and had disconnected. However, they kept billing me and wouldn't stop. I faxed, called, emailed, etc and couldn't get them to stop. I refused to pay and they sent me to collections. I disputed that time and again but couldn't get it off my credit report and it hurt my credit rating. I recommend to never deal with verizon in any capacity. read more
