On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 I went to the Alpha Computer Center for the first time. What brought…read moreme there was my Apple i-Phone 14 froze while downloading an updated IOS software the night before. Now, if you are like me, you use your smart phone for everything. I freaked out at first, then remembered that I also had an i-Pad and could either text or use Face Book Messenger/ Face Book; to alert family/friends that I would not be available as my i-Phone was frozen. I had also canceled our family land line at our house so this i-Phone was the ONLY phone I had. I was able to wait (about 1/2 hour) while they re-booted my i-Phone and made sure that the new IOS software was downloaded correctly. Apparently my i-Phone was caught in a "loop" and the total amount I had to pay was only $56.35. They were very professional, helpful and understanding of my anxiety about my i-Phone 14. This is the only place I will bring my Apple devices (i-Phone 14 and i-Pad) They are an Apple Authorized Repair Center. Thanks So Much Alpha! I highly recommend you bring all of your Apple devices here for diagnostic and/or repair!

They gave me an accurate time estimate, and when I returned a few hours later, my device was ready and in better shape than I'd even hoped for. If you are trying to get your electronics fixed here, I would suggest trying going anywhere else. I…read morehave a 2016 MacBook pro, and it recently started to have screen issues where it would randomly go black. I decided to take it to Coretech to see if they would have any ideas as to why it was doing this. I met with one of their Apple product "specialist" who just told me that I would probably have to get my screen replaced, but he would have to run some test first. I then set up another appointment to get my computer all tested so he could pinpoint what was causing my screen issues. After about four hours with my computer, I got a call from Coretech telling me that they are about 80 to 90 percent certain that my screen is the issue and thus needs to be replaced. This procedure was estimated to cost around 450 dollars. I asked them what would happen if I got my screen replaced, but it didn't end up solving my problem. They told me that I would NOT be refunded and they would have to try another solution which would cost more money. Because of the uncertainty and cost of the fix, I decided to do a little more research before I could feel comfortable spending so much money. After looking into my problem some more, I came across an Apple article explaining how some of their 2016 Macbook Pro computers are having a screen backlight issue. Apple was thus allowing customers to send their computers back to be fixed for free. Coretech is supposed to be an authorized Apple retailer with knowledgeable people to assist with Apple products. Instead, Coretech is just lousy knockoff of an Apple store/Genius Bar and should not be trusted. Had I believed Coretech to do their job honestly, I would be out 450 dollars. Ultimately, the fact that their "Apple experts" didn't know about this well-documented issue with my model of laptop is laughable. Here is the well-documented problem my computer was having that Coretech chose to ignore. https://support.apple.com/13-inch-macbook-pro-display-backlight-service
