This place is a scam, manager double charged you. She is extremely shady. Both my boyfriend and I were charged by her and then again my Verizon and someone came in and complained of being double charged while I was upgrading my phone. She said the Apple Watch was a 5. Monthly charge but is 15 per month. Total snake. Will be calling corporate and reporting to better business bureau. read more

Be very careful of this store and it's employees. The rep basically took unsellable items off the shelves and charged my account, refusing to answer my question of how much it is. Then rang up the charges and refused to give me a break down of the products he chose. We were in a hurry to catch a plane and he knew this so he just wasted time and finally gave me the bill as I am leaving. Charges were outrageous. I was charged $100 for 2 screen protectors. The accessories that he forced on me came out to a total of $360 (2 cases, 2 protectors and 1 power adapter and $150 phone set up fee). I still had to pay the $35 each activation fee charged by Verizon. Do not go to this store. I only wish I had read the reviews before going. Absolute scam artists. read more

Would give it 0 stars if I could. I am actually planning calling Verizon corporate to report this store. I stopped in on a whim as I passed the store to upgrade my phone, renew my plan, and put my girlfriend on with me for a family plan account as we spoke about doing so. The sales rep there talks in circles and was not showing me any materials until I asked and went around the counter to look at the computer. Aside from this, he took 10 mins in the middle of assisting us to answer the phone and argue with a previous customer named Frank who was accusing the sales rep of scamming him. Why do I know this? Because he was arguing with him in the middle of the store over the phone and then proceed to tell us about it. I should have left right there. Needless to say, this guy made all these purchases and changes without even asking for my credit card and telling me I'm all set. Wait what? He then proceeded to tell me he did nothing with my girlfriend's purchase until we were ready to leave and that my phone would arrive 3 weeks later. Thanks for mentioning that before we leave because we thought we were getting both phones within a few days. When I questioned what was going on he said he could assign a dummy number because he couldn't port my girlfriend's number to our account at the time. I had to have him cancel everything before I left, then spend an hour and a half on the phone with Verizon to reverse all of the nonsense he caused. There was absolutely no need for all of these surprises. He didn't even have to play games to sell me; I went in there knowing what I wanted and was ready to make all the purchases. Fast forward 2 days later, I went to Verizon corporate store in Astoria and guess what? We both received our phones right there, created a family plan, and my girlfriend's number was ported over on the spot. Lesson learned is not to even entertain stores like these. Just go to the corporate store and get treated like a real customer. read more

My experience at this location was subpar, and frankly that's an understatement. The salesperson/manager was very patronizing and had a condescending air about him. Every time I posed a question, I was met with a scoff and convoluted answer. Not to mention, he tacked on additional fees (i.e. phone insurance) without my consent, and convinced me to opt for an unlimited data plan as the monthly bill would be comparable to what I paid while under a limited contract. I spoke to Ran on the phone. He was great - very patient and courteous. Unrelated to Ran, today I had a bad experience in the Queens Center Mall. A female representative was assisting me (I do not know her name). I asked her to disconnect my phone insurance, but she told me that cannot be done in person, it can only be done over the phone. I waited in line for over an hour to have this done but she clearly lied to me because Ran told me she should have been able to do it at the store. To add insult to injury, I also purchased two phone cases and a glass screen protector that were significantly over priced. When I came home and looked up the price of those items on Amazon (same model and manufacturer), I saw Verizon is charging FOUR times as much as the market price. I am so disappointed in the customer service and Verizon's obvious price gouging. These are the types of experiences that make me want to leave Verizon. I've been a customer for over 15 years, and this was honestly the last straw. read more

They are CROOKS!!!!!. I go in because my home button wasn't working properly. So the guy looks up my account and suggests I do an upgrade bc it would be cheaper than what I am paying now. I tell him I would just like to fix it. He then tells me I would have to wait 2 weeks for the technician to come in. I thought that was weird so I asked if I had insurance, he confirmed I did but that I am not an "authorized user" on the account (my mother is) so he can't help me. I asked him why I was able to buy a phone at the store a few months prior if I wasn't the "authorized user"? He looks up the info and realizes I purchased a phone there. Apparently making a sale supersedes protocol ??- I don't understand. So I proceed to ask to put an insurance claim in and he tells me he cannot do that from the store. I tell him that I can't use my phone (bc it's broke) to call it in- he tells me: "you should drive to your mother's and have her call bc she is the authorized user." I leave the store and walk across the street to S&L electronics repair- they fix my phone in 5 minutes FOR FREE! I returned back to the Verizon store told the guy how my Phone was fixed for free and that I would be put this Yelp review up about this store. He laughed. Obviously customer service and caring to do the best for their customers is not important to the people in this place. I recommend NO ONE EVER uses this place. Instead trust in S&L across the street !!! read more
