Sal and Luis are amazing! I had a problem getting approved because my address is a PO Box not a normal physical address. They spent 3 days fighting with core with me to get me approved for a much needed upgrade from prepaid to contract. They bent over backwards to make the process as painless as possible. And we're just as disappointed and frustrated as I was whenever another attempt failed. They were friendly and understanding the entire time! Big thank you to both of them for EVERYTHING! Visiting this store to start a family plan was the worst mistake of my life. My family and I spent over 8 hours in the store to set up the plan and everything was done incorrectly. It has been nearly four months and both Verizon and this GoWirless have been unable to correct the billing mistakes that were created during the first visit. While getting a new phone I watched Sal, the manager at Gowireless in Poway and his tech savvy staff strive to provide the best service possible to every customer who walked thru their door. Sal was super fast himself. His staff seem very knowledgeable and eager to help with a wide range of customer needs from paying phone bills to new phone setup to finding the best combination of technology to make even the most picky customer happy, like myself. My wife and I just got new Note 8s. Everything was successfully transferred to our new phones. We also got a Tab S3 all set up and ready to work. Great store. Knowledgeable people. I recently switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. There was an issue with the credit Verizon corporate was supposed to provide to me in order to pay my T-Mobile phone off. I was eventually transferred via phone back to this store where i originally signed up. Sal the onsite manager went above and beyond to make it right for me, and make sure all credits were properly applied one way or another. The phones reception and now customer support are amazing, and i would recommend this location to anyone looking to upgrade their carrier. read more

I generally don't do this but I have to let everybody know about my experience regarding the returning of a wrong item I was sold. I was sold a screen protector when I purchased a new phone with a premium package that didn't fit my phone. When I went back to return it (7 days later after calling them twice to let them know of the mistake) unopened (wound up finding it on Amazon much cheaper and I couldn't wait to protect my screen anymore) I was given a hard time about returning it and then charged a $20 restocking fee on a $40 item that was given to me incorrectly in the first place. The item that I needed they did not have in the store to even give me. I would have taken the extra screen protector but they didn't even have it. I've been using them for quite some time for all my family's needs(4 phones)and they have been very good. Jorge was excellent and was very accommodating but the manager Desirae basically said there's nothing she could do which is very hard to believe. She was not accommodating or friendly at all , in fact being difficult, which I found surprising considering most of their employees are. It just seems to me to be very pennywise and pound foolish to risk losing a loyal customer of many years for $20. Very poor business practices. I will be going to the Verizon store from now on just on principle. I'm not willing to work with an establishment that is totally inflexible in their business practices especially when the error is on their part. read more

I personally hate reading long reviews but sometimes they're necessary. The gist, GoWireless was going to charge me $300 to deactivate my phone that broke after only 3 weeks. The whole story... I recently went here to upgrade my phone to a Samsung. Less than 3 weeks later I dropped it and the screen cracked (dropped less than a foot with a good case on it! Don't buy a Samsung...but that's a different review). I went into the store to see what my option were. I still had my old iphone so thought I could just reactivate it. The employee told me I had to keep my new phone active on the acct for 6 months or Verizon would charge me $300 because it would seem like a fraudulent claim. In other words, I was stuck with a broken phone that was unusable. He told me my other option was to add a line for $40(!?) a month and after 6 months give the line to someone else. Neither of these seemed like good options to me considering I had a perfectly good phone I could use. He told me I could call Verizon and ask them about the $300. I used the store phone and spoke with a woman at Verizon who said I could reactivate my iphone with no charge, there wasn't a $300 fee. While on the phone with her, the gentleman I was working with comes over with a piece of paper and is pointing at a paragraph for me to read. I ask the woman on the phone to hold and am told by the GoWireless employee that it isn't actually Verizon that would charge me but GoWireless themselves. So even seeing that my phone was cracked and useless, this company was going to somehow charge me more than I paid for the phone to NOT use it!! I told the woman from Verizon that I was on the phone with and she even said that that doesn't sound right, that they shouldn't be able to do that. No kidding. I would have never chosen to purchase a phone at this store had I known it wasn't a real Verizon store and that they could get away with making up their own crazy policy. The worst part is the employee didn't even realize this was the GoWireless policy, he tried to blame it on Verizon. read more

If I had written a review for Verizon (the whole damned company!) yesterday, it would have been some number of MINUS stars. Seriously -- between not having the Galaxy S5 for months, then not being able to reserve one, being lied to about what was in stock before driving to three different locations, inaccurate store info online, and then a system-wide computer outage rendering all offices and employees useless for half a day -- wow. I was ready to switch our whole company account off Verizon. Today, only because of Stormy Chadwick at the Poway store, it's a five star rating. He had my phone in stock, transferred data quickly, set up my rebate paperwork, and even applied the screen protector I had purchased elsewhere! And he got it all done in a few minutes so i could catch a flight to Dallas. Cheerful, fast, competent -- make this guy a store manager, or I'm going to hire him away for our customer service team. Jason S was such a huge help! After dealing with the terrible customer service in the Carmel Mountain location, we came to the Poway Road store and the helped us immediately. Even the customer service we received on line or on the phone paled in comparison. Jason was very personable and explained "the small print", which wasn't offered to us on the phone. He also explained the new phone operations and made suggestions that I really appreciated! He didn't make us feel rushed but still acknowledged other customers. Overall it was a great experience. My family came in yesterday afternoon to correct some issues with one of the phones on the account. Blake immediately greeted us and offered his help. I explained the issues and problems I was having with an upgrade (from another Verizon dealer) and he went to work. He reviewed my account to assure me nothing had changed. He transferred phone numbers between phones on my account, he help us restore our contacts and apps. He put my wife's phone in the new case she wanted and installed a new screen protector on my daughters phone. All of this took quite a bit of his time, but Blake was more than happy to do this for us (even though we had not purchased the new phone from him). Blake was very knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to help us. Excellent service. read more

The guys at the Verizon store were awesome, Jason and Darien. They helped me upgrade to my i6 and answered all my questions.

Verizon sent us here to get new phones. When we arrived they said in order to get the phones we had to get 3 accessories (which Verizon never mentioned). The guy said he couldn't get ahold of his manager, but as long as we got screen protectors he would just deal with it later. When he rang it up and gave me the price I found out the screen protector was $50 each, and needed to buy a charger (another $30 each). Something you can get on amazon for same quality for $10, but we wouldn't be able to get the phones unless we did, we would have to order online due to low stock. After paying for accessories and getting data swapped another lady came in and was told the same thing, however when she questioned it and stated the same thing about buying on amazon as I did they told her they would try calling the manager (who I was already told wasn't in and couldn't get ahold of). When the assistant manager came out of the back the lady was pulled aside and then took a seat in the waiting area. After we got all the data switched over and we're getting in our car they started helping her buy the same phone without the accessories. Needless to say, if you don't wanna pay for accessories, tell them you aren't going to get the phone. They will end up selling it to you anyway. $160 later in accessories we didn't need because we were told we had to in order to get the phone, Merry a Christmas to you guys too! read more

I bought a new iPhone 7 plus at this store on Monday Chris was extremely helpful with the process of buying the phone and Chae and him were extremely friendly the entire time. On Tuesday I came in to transfer my data from my old phone onto the new one Sal stayed on his time off to help me get some sentimental things onto my new phone from my own. I bought a new Cellphone at a hreat price and paid $50 for my first month of Service. A few days later I was charged many times for unauthorized usage, none of which I was responsible for! I called up and was told that I had requested 3 lines so I was being charged 3 times as much! I had to actually prove that I only wanted 1 line as I was only 1 person who only used 1 phone! They doubted my word, they had no tecord of my password, no record if my email address and no record of my zip code, even though I had given them all of my information! After waiting on the phone for 25 minutes, I called another CR who finally withdrew the additional charges, but refused to apologize to me as it wasnt her fault and she told me that she didnt even care! Talk about kind, understanding and respectful service. I'm actually surprised that this company even exists! I suggest you find store personnel and other underpaid employees elsewhere. Just keeping it real and trying to help other people find a decent, honest cellphone company! read more

I recently switched providers from T mobile to Verizon and I have to say this store was by far the best service I've ever seen! I was instantly greeted upon walking in the door by Jorge (awesome employee)!!! Unfortunately the phone I wanted wasn't in stock BUT Jill was able to get it for me the next day (thank god after cracking my current screen, she's a life saver)! Jill and Jorge were both very informative and went beyond their job skills to get me everything I needed. These two are FABULOUS sales reps and definitely make you feel like family. I've even had to call and annoy them over little questions (electronics & me don't agree) and not once did they make me feel like any question was a bad one. I just want to let people to know that TWICE this Verizon has slipped in an insurance policy for $5 a mo that I was NEVER told I was getting on a phone and a jet pack. AND, on top of that, they GAVE MY DEBIT CARD number to the insurance company and money was taken out of my bank account without my authorization. This is really something that everyone should be aware of. I also went into both the Poway Verizon AND the Carmel Mtn. Verizon and complained and was told it would be taken care of but NOooooooooo, I had to call GRIP Ins. in Las VEgas (who are very nice and reasonable) to get the policy cancelled and a refund. Just a heads up.... seems pretty sneaky to me! read more

This has been one of the most awful experiences. I went in on a Friday to ask them to transfer my iPhone contacts to an android product. Sam accomplished that easily. Then I ask what an iPad cost. That was MY big mistake. After an hour, I agreed to purchase an iPad; but Sam said they would include free a screen protector. Okay. Well, then it turns out, they don't have any iPads in the store. So come back 3 days later. I show up three days later, and no Sam. But more importantly, NO IPAD! I call district manager, and he assured me they have it. I'm now 10 miles away in traffic. So I turn around and am at the store. Yes, after 45 minutes (and remember please the 3-day wait), I have an iPad. read more

Jeff, Regional Manager, read my review, called me. He apologized for the charges and that he would reverse the charges incorrectly incurred. I returned to the Poway store and Jill seemed to resent that she had to reverse a financial charge, she was responsible for. She stated to me she *did* have the WIFI on, when downloading my programs. First of all, she was calling me a liar, second, if that was the case, how did I incur so much data usage in 2-3 days. She, Jill, did not complete the charge reversal, so I had to return again, to that store to finish the job she didn't do. When I returned, I was assisted by the Manager. I told her that I didn't appreciate Jill's attitude nor being called a liar. She apologized and shared that she talked to Jill about that! The correction was made and they have seen my face, in that store, for the last time! It's so unfortunate when customer support people forget that it's customers like me who pays their salary! I went into this store trying to get a verizon phone activated on my account because my old phone broke. I purchased a verizon phone from a current Verizon customer in hopes to get it activated on my account (which i just did on another line on my account a few weeks ago). Store representative caleb said that a new policy that came out about a month ago now charges 10$ for a new SIM card. I called the usual price in store that I go to in Mission Valleyand and they stated that it is always free and you come on into the store and they would be glad to help me out. I went to the store in Mission Valley and was in and out in 15 minutes and no charge. Thats true customer service. Shame on the Poway manager for being greedy. read more

Took advantage of my elderly mother. She went in to pay her bill & was asked to upgrade her flip phone to a smart phone. They ended up selling her a cheap 8gb Galaxy & charging her $60+ a month for 1gb of data! It was not under contract. Also charging her for a lot of money for a wall charger that she didn't need since the phone had one. Also the they gave her paperwork she had clearly states no termanition fee! They charging $250 to return phone since she was added to my AT&T. Note she had the phone a day. None of her paperwork said anything about a $250 fee. Verizon associates produced paper that they claimed she signed stating this & it was't even her signature! Very unethical business!! Avoid at all costs! read more

I've been a customer of Verizon for several years and overall I like their service. However, I was extremely unhappy with my last upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S4 which I had constant problems with performance, battery life and it became completely non operational after 18 months. I had previously visited other Verizon store locations without satisfaction. Any time I have visited this store, I have left as a satisfied customer. Elias and Curtis were great and couldn't have been more helpful. Elias helped me out with a great deal to get a new phone Galaxy S8, better battery life, accessories and more data in my monthly plan without charging me a boatload of money. Got into a pretty heated discussion with the reps from "Google" and they still could not fix the problem. Worked with Jonny for an extensive amount of time.
