I am so fed up with Verizon wireless. Every time I call them it's hour out of my day and it never goes right today. I called to find out why they say that they didn't receive my phone for the for the trade-in and come to find out that I just heard two more people have had the same thing happened to them. They do their trade-in for their phone and Verizon says they never got their phone. Today when I called to find out about that he says well I can fix this for you, you know your payment will be $126 every month. I said fine. Don't change anything on my plan. What did he do? He changed my plan. I'm about ready to go to T-Mobile so frustrated with Verizon. I do not recommend Verizon. read more

Do **not** rely on appointments at the Verizon store. I scheduled an appointment more than two days in advance after visiting the Forest Grove store in person. They implied Newberg had the phones I needed, so I made the appointment and drove there expecting a straightforward pickup and activation. An "appointment" here is not a real appointment. It is only a notice that you are present. There is no priority and no expectation you will be helped anywhere near your scheduled time. I checked in on time and waited over **one hour and fifteen minutes**. At 1:16 pm I was told the technical issue they were handling might be resolved "before the end of the day." Then at 1:28 pm, after all that waiting, staff finally checked and realized the phones available were **128 GB**, not the higher storage needed. The correct model is on backorder with **no ETA**. This was only discovered after the extended wait. At that point it was clear the drive, the appointment, and the time spent waiting were all wasted. While staff were polite, the appointment system, inventory verification, and coordination between stores are fundamentally broken. If Verizon does not intend appointments to function as actual service times, that needs to be made very clear up front. read more

This store does not honor appointments. So if you make an appointment and plan your day so that you will be there on time and ready, they don't care! I was told to just get in line with everyone else and that appointments don't mean anything to them. What a waste of time, gas and my Sunday afternoon. I don't recommend this store. read more

Whoever the employee was on January 23,2024 at 5:30. You weren't born to work with the public! You had the demeanor of a human waste of space! I came in (for the third time that day) trying to remove my broken phone and have the replacement sent. The first employee was very helpful but failed to explain the steps I needed to take in order to have the new phone delivered. I waited all day for the phone. At 5 pm I came back to say the phone hadn't arrived. I was told it wasn't ever erased or whatever so she just held the request. The whole process with these carriers is absurd! It shouldn't be this difficult! Especially ridiculous is a company that would employee a person as rude and apathetic as this person! Are you that desperate for employees? I would give this store a 0 if I could. My phones and account have been messed up for over a month. I have personally been in the store 3 times to try to resolve the issue. Each visit takes 2-3 hours and the issue is not resolved. On the last visit I was told to deal with the 800 number and today after an hour on the phone with them they said the main store must fix the issue. My phone now doesn't even work and says SOS. I have begged for Josh the district manager to please help and call me and he won't for some reason. read more

Gotta love Verizon got a love their manager, Michael he was a real peach lacking customer service. When is there to get help with the ECP application and he was very hostile. Made sure I knew that. He couldn't do anything. He couldn't just add it, which I never asked him to do, I just wanted help. I went to the Newberg location three times trying to get my broken phone replaced. after being dismissed and condescended I left without a working phone and no idea how to rectify my problem! I purchased a lifetime guarantee power cord from this Go Wireless location less than a year ago and the cord suddenly stopped charging my phone. I returned the charging cord to the same location to have it replaced under their "lifetime guarantee / warrenty" they promised can I made the purchase and the employee informed me that they longer no longer sell the product and I will have to contact the manufacturer of the cord to have it replaced. Each time I purchased these lifetime guarantee/ warrenty products, I was informed that I would just need to bring the power cord back to any one of their locations and they would replace it immediately, as I did multiple times when the cord stopped charging my phone. I have purchased multiple charging cords from Go Wireless, with the same lifetime guarantee over the years, for other phones i've had and if they didn't have the same cord, from the same manufacturer, they would ALWAYS replace it with another charging cord from the current selection because they would often sell and or change product vendors. This is absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't honor their policy and has never been an issue in the past. After requesting to speak to a manager, the employee informed me that the manager would not be in for at least 2 days. What kind of business doesn't have a manager present and available to run the business each day, let alone 3 days??????? I can't help but to think that this is either a problem with management and employees at this location or a lousy, rediculouse pourly thought out excuse to scam people into purchasing another power cord for $30 - $40.... My local business in Newberg has over 10 lines through Verizon Wireless and we purchase multiple products at this location for each of our lines. She didn't pressure anyone to buy merchandise but offered suggestions for coupons to others. She multi-tasked, helping two people efficiently at once. This review is for the store and not the staff. We were greeted in a friendly manor by the customer service staff member and he answered our questions and was not pushy trying to sell us anything. We came in to look at the new Samsung Edge but they did not have any in the store. The manager had he's personal Edge and let us look at it. We are considering the Edge or the Note 4 and asked the manager the difference because the cost between the two is big. He was honest saying there's not much of a difference. He did not make the Edge sound better so we purchase a more expensive product. Why just the 3 star then?...............We asked for 3 things. To see the New Edge. They did not have any at this store. (managers personal one does not count) To purchase a battery for my Note 2. They did not have any and suggested we go to the battery place in Tualatin...but they may not have them. To purchase a charger for my Note 2. They did have a charger that was twice the price. In all, we left with some good answers to our questions but left empty handed. read more

Went there to get new phone and it was a total disaster. The phone I wanted was not in stock which is understandable. they told me I could order one and still get the $1000 promotion that ended the next day. so, I said ok. Phone arrived 3 weeks later and when they tried to activate it the phone it would not work. Took over 3 hours to fix issue. Experience was very fishy and I knew they screwed something up. Just got off phone with Verizon and because of this stores mistakes I was only given a $700 rebate and not the $1000. The store gave me no paperwork showing what they did. i will not be back to this store. read more

Hmmmm where do I start, well let's start from the beginning..,.(I'll make this as short as I can) Verizon was having a sale, switch from your old carrier and Verizon will pay up to $650 per line. We went to the actual Verizon store over by dominos and the customer service at the time was horrible (this was back in October 2017) so we went to gowireless. We went in gave Dan our sprint bill, he set everything up and told us all we had to do was send in our old phones in the Verizon phone boxes that will be sent in the mail. He also said sprint will send you boxes too, but only send them in Verizon. Then you'll receive a gift card shortly after to pay off your sprint bill. Both my husband and I asked so all we have to do is send in our phones and the gift card will automatically be sent to us? We don't have to do anything? He said yep, we take care of the rest. Well around January 2018, sprint sends my husband a bill of $2,220.00 and we are like wtf?! And we decided to brush it off because Verizon will send us our gift card soon. Here comes May 2018, my husband made a dispute to sprint for trying to take $2,220.00 out of his bank acct. in June, 2018 sprint did it again and my husband's acct became frozen! And since we shared that one acct my bank acct became frozen too. Since this has happened, we marched into Gowireless ask to speak with the store manager, Dustin tell him everything that has been happening he makes copies of everything that we have. He says he will get them to the RM (regional manager) very soon. After, hearing nothing I decide to call the Verizon company, hoping I would get results faster! They basically told me it's my fault that we trusted one of their employees and there's nothing they can do. I even had a guy cut me off while I was talking to him. They were no help, so my husband and I would constantly go into gowireless every opportunity that we could get and we would only ask for Dustin. We came in the middle of July 2018, and asked him if he has heard anything? He said the RM is on vacation. We came back the beginning of August 2018 asked Dustin if anything has happened? He said the RM is on vacation. After, he said that it started becoming fishy. I don't know of a RM having a 3-4 week vacation?! So, We would come in and I would ask for Dustin and the employees would say he's on lunch or isn't here. They would take down our numbers to "give" it to Dustin and the RM, still haven't received a phone call. We would go in and the person who helped us in the beginning, Dan which he had no sympathy of our problem. The problem that he caused! We returned back at the end of August 2018, and apparently Dustin doesn't work at this store anymore. I have lost all hope, and that's why I writing this review! Do not go to this sister store of Verizon!! Go to the main store!! I wish we did! These kids don't know what they're doing. They're only looking at their commissions and not the customers. I am so disappointed with this store under new manager, Mary. I had a replacement phone shipped to the store, and it arrived on the expected date but the employee phoned an old, disconnected landline number instead of my Verizon cell number that I've had for years! When I phoned the store to ask why I hadn't heard, they first told me "he tried to call you but the number doesn't work," then refused to tell me what number they'd called or even whether they had a second number listed for me. They completely stonewalled me; I asked for a manager who refused to take my call, and they finally hung up on me. I then had to drive an hour back to Newberg to pick up the phone that had already been waiting for me on the expected date. While en route, I called Customer Service and they got my question answered and the erroneous information off my account in about 3 minutes....but I've now been waiting in the store for half an hour and still can't get anyone to just hand me the box I can see sitting on the counter...I could've just had it shipped to my home and not put up with the rudeness of the staff and the manager. read more

Steve, the store manager, along with his associates, have been extremely helpful in assisting not only myself, but my entire family in purchasing several new phone's, troubleshooting many problems with our phone's, helping us submit claims, and going above and beyond in any way they can help. I've also observed this kind of customer service every time I walk into that store, whether or not Steve is working, and it doesn't matter how many people are in there, or how complicated their situations might be. My most recent experience was on July 15, 2015, when I had to purchase a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S5), because I drowned my S4. Steve, went out of his way to walk me through each phone and explain the different features, helping me decide which one was going to work best for my needs, according to how I use my phone. He also filled out my rebate paperwork and put it in an envelope for me, along with suggesting I wait a few days before cutting off the UPC bar code, to make sure that I really liked the phone. New manager's name is Mary and she has a horrible attitude and does not know what good customer was even if it hit her in the face. We were promised new phones and our contact information was given to them and we were asked that we come back on a certain date. Supposedly we were called but no one actually ever left a voice mail. We show up to pick up phones on the date promised and they were "sold" to other customers. Worst service ever! Lots of new employees with no one to lead them. Mary is quick to blame new employees for mistakes and throw them all under the bus. I feel sorry for these employees, their management is a joke. We were not offered an apology just a lot of attitude. Do not waste your time at this store! read more

Steve, the store manager, was very generous with his assistance the other day. The store is well staffed, everybody who walks in the door is greeted and helped. They didn't seem pushy or trying to sell, sell, sell. They talk to you and try to find out what you are looking for rather than telling you what to do. If you are looking for assistance or even if you know what you want, the staff at this store will help you. I was previously with another carrier (T-Mobile) but their coverage in Newberg was awful. With Verizon I'm always blazing fast and great connection - even in the surrounding foothills. This is the store to visit. The people who work here are all really knowledgeable and excited about the phones. The best experience I've had in a cell phone retailer in the more than 15 years that I've been buying phones. read more

After having some problems with McMinnville Verizon store who said my mother's phone (on my plan) was not working and trying to sell her a plan on my account I told her to leave immediately. The next day I advised her to go to Newberg where they simply reset the phone in a few minutes and we were good to go. Newberg is very efficient and skilled with great customer service. If I could give zero stars I would, where to begin. I went in and wanted to upgrade to a different phone, I agreed to pay the balance to get to my halfway point on my current phone, she took my card and next thing I know I'm being charged $400 extra then what I was told. We were there for two hours to find out they couldn't give me my $400 back but offered to give me a store credit that I CANNOT use towards my bill and supposedly it was a "computer malfunction", yet I paid for my case and used the chip reader and it worked perfectly fine and charged the expected amount. Then the horrible store manager Mary came and was so rude! Shutting down every option to get my money back and not giving a shit about my situation I cannot believe they hired her as a "'manager". The entire time she was standing there "cleaning" not even looking for a solution to get me my money back. I've never been treated so poorly by a "store manager", I ended up leaving without getting my money back and had to call Verizon customer service and they helped me and I was only on the phone for maybe 5 minutes and even they couldn't believe my previous experience at this store. Don't go to this store, and if the owner of this store is reading this you need to get rid of that so called "manager". read more
