We needed a technician to come out and set up a new TV. The office staff did their job perfectly, answering our calls and scheduling a time when the tech could come out and do the job. The tech was good though not great. He needed our help in setting up the TV and balked after I asked him to plug in the HDMI cables into the appropriate ports. The technician was showing attitude, did not listen to me and mounted the TV a lot higher than he said he would. Apart from that, he almost dropped my TV from 6 feet to the shards, he did break my wall clock. And despite being told that I wouldn't be able to help him out and he would need to bring a helping hand, he didn't and I had to help him out. He was supporting the tilt weight of the TV on his head with his eyeglasses on, could not notice the scratches in the interior lights right after the installation. Scratches were caused by his eyeglasses frame rubbing against the screen. I booked with HelloTech last night after we discovered that a wall anchor on our TV had popped out of the wall. We were scheduled almost immediately with Keith for 9AM. Keith showed up on time and was SUCH a professional and was so kind. I mentioned that I was pregnant and wouldn't be able to help and he reassured me that he would take care of everything. He dismounted our TV, found where we'd messed up in our original mount, put in new, heavier duty screws, mounted the bracket, and then mounted the TV. It was a perfect job. read more

While trying to mount the tv he dropped it against the fireplace mantle causing damage to the mantle. he told me to file a damage claim and that he would as well and that hello tech would help fix it. Later on when xfinity came to setup cable I noticed the picture had been impacted by him dropping it. I reached out to the company and they have done everything in their power to avoid paying for the damages to my fireplace as well as the tv. PLEASE save yourself the time and money and go with another service to mount your tv. If I rated the installer it would be 5 stars, he did a great job. However the company sent 1 person to hang a 90" tv, even though they knew the size of the tv and I paid accordingly. I specifically wanted to take a chore off of my plate, so I hired this done. I did it! I finally found a tech service provider worse than Xfinity! The specific person who was sent out to do the job was great (they are all third party hires) - the problem is the company itself. HORRIBLE. The OPPOSITE of how business should be done. They make you select the service you think you need in advance, forcing you to put your credit card information in, and only then will they send someone out. I chose "In-wall cable running" for $240 because I thought that's what I needed, but when the tech came, he solved the problem with a simple coaxial line install. Great! Efficient! Of course, they would never charge me the full $240 for something that costs $40. Surely, they understand that clicking a button on a website is not the same as what might actually be needed at the job site. Naturally, they would adjust the rate charged based on the service actually provided and not the thing that was clicked on some list. Oh, but no! See, they have these mysterious, immutable things called "Packages," and these Packages are ironclad prices, as unshakable as the foundations of logic itself, that absolutely under no circumstances can ever change, even if the service you are paying for was not provided. I repeat: even if you don't get the service you click on, you still pay for it. WHAT. Everyone I spoke to seemed mystified that I would ask why they can't adjust the charge of their all-knowing Package. So no customer has ever asked for an adjustment on their charges based on services actually provided? Really, you have never issued a refund for anything EVER? NEVER, according to Erica the Supervisor of Packages. Not only that, but it was my fault for selecting a service I didn't need. Again - WHAT. Does what someone thinks they need never vary from what they actually need? Incredibly dishonest and deceptive service. May their internet fail as frequently as mine does. I thought HelloTech would be a good alternative to the "Geek Squad" and needed some tech training on a new computer with Windows 11. Seemed pretty straightforward. Scheduled with HelloTech for 2/20 at 11am. Tech called me at 10:30 to say he was running a few minutes late (no problem) but still had not arrived by 12:30pm. Got a text from HelloTech at 12:37 saying the tech cancelled and could I provide them with some other appt windows. OK...a bit annoyed that I wasted an hour and a half waiting for a no-show but finally got another appointment scheduled for 3/24 at noon. This afternoon I get another text that my tech has cancelled again and can I provide another appointment window. My answer was no. Got nothing from these folks but a drain on my time. However, 3 days later we had the exact same connectivity issues and they have continued for to occur weekly since he was here. So we basically wasted $134. I have had Xfinity/comcast out here 2 times since then and today I finally got a Sr Tech who gave it to us straight and made some changes that will help. And we now understand why we have issues.
