I needed a new plan since my husbands passing. I was not going back to the Verizon Store in Glastonbury as they took advantage of a tragic situation with lies and deceit. They can't be trusted to do right by their clients. My daughter brought me to this Verizon store as we needed to go to a corporate location and she was assisting me. I didn't believe I would stay with Verizon until I met Tanisha. She took control and helped ease the process of providing a new plan, a new cell phone taking the time to set everything up for me with compassion and patience making the entire process enjoyable. She is a gem!! A very nice young man Mike also assisted me when I went back the next day for assistance with another issue. I highly recommend this location for all your Verizon needs! read more

After struggling with service on my phone for a long while (losing internet connection and having SOS messages pop up in service areas where no one else had struggles), I stopped in to see if I could get some help with my phone. Queenie, who appeared to be the manager, was very quick and was able to fix my service issue in a brief visit. I have since not seen the same issues with the service. I will be continuing to monitor but she was very knowledgeable and even showed me how to personally troubleshoot any issues like this in the future. read more

If u could leave a minus 5 stars I would. Had the worst experience with the Middletown ct. Store. Went in for a new phone and it seems they sold me a Used one. It had alot wrong with it. So I return it and they send me another in in 2 days. We'll that was a piece of junk. Went back with my old phone and had them reload all my stuff back onto it. They offerd a credit card with the new phone and set it up. They did a $580.00 charge and said it will be taken off in 2 to 3 days that's how the card gets det up. We'll it took forever and a 100nphone calls and trips to the Verizon store to get it off the bill. Never again. Looking for new service carrier now. read more

I have been going to this location since it opened. It has by far had its ups and downs and even though it's less then two miles away I used to drive to other locations. Well, Nick and Chris have totally changed that! Over the past two plus years they have gone above and beyond for me, my husband, my mom and other customers that are there when I am. They are knowledgeable, friendly, hold one another accountable and go above and beyond to exceed your needs. They will exhaust every possible option to troubleshoot or help you out, even when they go in doubtful if they are able to help. The store is bright, clean, has proper sanitation stations and is well stocked. Selections are a bit limited due to demand, but they do everything in their power to get you what you need and want. I definitely recommend this location and either Nick or Chris!!! read more

The manager at the Middletown location, Mike, was extremely rude and unwilling to assist with my upgrade request after Verizon customer Service explicitly told me to visit this corporate location. He refused to assist me. He did not even walk over to his computer to review my account before turning me away. Possibly the worst customer service, ever. Bravo Verizon! read more

Everyone here is nice enough, but overall service is just as bad here today as it has been in the past. Waited 10 minutes just to get someone to sign us in. Another 10 minutes to get help, and then the person helping us apparently had customer service ADD because she walked away in the middle of helping us and started helping someone else who had just walked in. There were other people in front of them who are still waiting. We were only here for a screen protector, she had us pay and then took the phone hostage and started helping someone else. This is the worst service ever!!! Total time wasted on purchasing a screen protector: 30 minutes. They still have not learned that accessory purchases need an expedited solution. Prior to coming here today, I got an oil change at Mobil One Lube Express and that only took 15 minutes. Buying a screen protector should NOT take longer than an oil change. read more

Pretty terrible on two separate visits. 3 customers in the store and 4 staff. as I walk through the door the staffer says "Wait! you have to be signed in!" "Do you have a first name??" Yes, John. "20 - 25 minutes" Could have said"Welcome to Verizon, what are you looking for? Great, there will be a 25 minute wait, while we take care of a few customers." I would have been fine with that. Instead, you are sent the message that the staff gets paid regardless of customer experience, and you are messing up their day. We are paying tons of money for phones and service. Be nicer. .These people are either incompetent lazy or discriminatory, or all 3. Mr. Verizon needs to give these folks a talking to. This store wouldn't even try to fix my phone even though over the phone the 800 Verizon tech guy told me it was likely a software issue and he spent over an hour with me (saving files and such so he could wipe it),but I gave up and said heck i will go to a store and have them do it. The Verizon Store in Middletown would not even look at it, never mind wipe it and such, even after I told them what the tech said. They said the software is too old (not even 2year old phone) . They said I needed a new phone. I balked and said well I'll save all my photos somewhere and wipe it myself and see first she said fine 'll see you tomorrow cause that wont work. I talk to the kids at school (where I work) - described symptoms (slow, dies at 55% charge - gives IMS app not working message on start up and have some symptoms of a virus).BTW Do not down load a google app phone cooler that my phone told me would fix everything - it does nothing except mess up other stuff. Anyway kids at my school say get a new battery,and they took off a few apps and closed some apps....so...... My ancient 2 year old Samsung Galaxy J3 phone now works, fine no thanks to this store. This people are either stupid, or crooked or discriminatory (I am 69 years old) . Find another store. All they want to do is sell and up-sell. read more

In short: never go to this location unless you're okay with lying and stealing employees who will cost you hundreds of extra money and refuse to correct their lies. If I could give 0 stars I would, and that would still be too generous. Worst experience I've ever had at any retail store ever. They flat out lied during multiple occasions during my trade-in/new contract process. They will lie through their teeth and never admit to any wrong doing. And even went back into to the store a second time to clear their mistakes and they still weren't able to correct. I had to call into Verizon directly and speak to a supervisor who literally laughed at their mistakes and lies and recommended that I never go back to that location again. They misquoted trade in credit values by hundreds (different from their own website), lied about what trade in credits could be applied to (don't let them tell you it's only applicable to accessories because it's a lie) and don't let them trick you into any "free" promotional items because they aren't free no matter how many times you ask and confirm that fact. And they refused to waive restocking fees for their own mistakes, even conveniently saying the general manager was on vacation until my return policy window expires. If you're not careful and don't pay attention to the real Verizon policies they will cost you hundreds of dollars without batting an eye and will never admit it. Strongly advise avoiding this store at all costs. Buy your phones online or go to a different location, or even give up your cell phone. All are better options than trusting this store to treat you right. read more

Disappointed That Black Friday Deal Was Misrepresented: A Verizon employee, Derrick, at the Middletown, Connecticut Verizon store presented a black Friday deal to my son and I on 11/21/18 where we would receive a Galaxy S9 phone and Samsung Gear S3 classic watch both for half price which would result in an increase in our bill which would be less than the cost of the Galaxy S9 phone alone even including the extra $9.99 line fee (he calculated $35 a month). After receiving our first bill, calling, and visiting the store twice, it has become apparent that the pricing they actually gave us was for half off the phone but only for $150 off the watch (looks like closer to 20% off, not the 50% promised). If we understand correctly, this will result in us paying an extra $125 for the watch (and ~$200 more than his $35 estimate would have indicated). Please note that I am a very long-time customer and that in general I have been very satisfied with Verizon. Even in this encounter, Kayla was very helpful and we were given a credit to offset the activation fee and first month of insurance that Derek said would be waived. It just seems very wrong that we would be offered a deal that encouraged us to add a line to our account and then find out that the pricing was wrong and we have to pay more than was originally offered. It makes me question whether staying with Verizon is the right move for my family and I. read more

I purchased a Blackberry Keyone Phone set up for Verizon from Amazon.com. I don't like touch screens or Iphones and have used Blackberries since they first came on the market as I love the keyboard and the sturdy build. I was a little hesitant to purchase this expensive phone and take it to Verizon Store for activation and SIM card insertion. However, I was impressed. The staff did a wonderful job and had it set up for me in minutes -- even though they were having a very busy day. They were also helpful last week when I upgraded my husbands phone. He is having surgery tomorrow and I have a 92 year old mother in another state so working phones are critical to us. I was SO impressed with the staff in this Verizon store in Middletown. They were friendly, helpful and really knew what they were doing. I highly recommend them. read more

So irritated by this store. I went into the store tonight to decide between two $299 phones. While I was deciding, two customers walked in and got helped right away. I picked out my phone and went to stand in the "line" at the counter. There was a man sitting there, and he didn't even acknowledge me. Awkward! But I continued to wait for another 15 minutes while the two salespeople on the floor finished up with their customers. During my wait I got to hear one of the workers complain to random counter guy about the customers in the store. Nice, right? Toward the end of my wait, two new customers walked in. Salesperson finishes up and calls out a name. HUH? I asked her how I could get helped (seeing as I had been in there for 45 minutes), and she asked if I had signed in. EHH? Apparenly, because I didn't sign in, I had to now wait behind the two customers who just walked in. This is in spite of the fact that customers had been walking in and getting helped right away previously (I tried to explain this, but it was over her head). Apparently they were using this sign-in feature I had never even heard of because I only go in the store every two years to upgrade to another overpriced phone (except they only use it sometimes, I'm not sure, I can't tell). You'd think SOMEONE there would have mentioned this to me while I was obviously waiting in "line" with a fricking phone case in my hand (like the random guy behind the counter with no discernible job function, perhaps). Forget that. I'm not waiting another 30-40 minutes just to give you jokers an easy sale of a $299 phone. I can get it online in five minutes. read more

I was super hesitant to visit this place after reading all of its reviews. Thankfully my experience here was fantastic! I was promptly greeted upon entering and all of the staff was fantastic. My problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed. Give this place a shot, they seemed to have changed for the better since these last reviews were written! read more

DO NOT do any business with the @Verizon store in Middletown, CT. I placed and order in store on Monday, January 14 with two day shipping. Today, January 20th I am still without my ordered product. I went down to the store to cancel the order and get a refund. Matt the store manager refused to provide a refund or make any reasonable effort to attempt to resolve the deficient customer experience. read more
