Additionally, I was told Century Link could not stop my service on weekends, as the last day of paid service is a Sunday, and that they would stop my service (with a push of a button, no house call) on the preceding Friday, supposedly not before 5:00 PM. Not only are they unwilling to prorate for an extra 4 days, they are stopping my service 2 days earlier than what is paid. Century Link has and is, the WORST customer policies, service policies, and I thoroughly would NOT recommend them as a provider. These days there are many other options. I was bushwacked into them, as they bought out Quantum Fiber and took control of my account. BTW, Quantum Fiber was excellent, and I would never have moved service on my own.

He said that it would cost $200 to have one sent out. So we opted to wait for the CSR to come out on 8/10. So we waited all day and were told at 4:30 PM that he'd be out by 7PM. He never showed. Called them on 8/11/26 at 8 AM and were told he was there on Tuesday to check the phone service and all was fine. So the CSR changed our request from internet to phone service. We've never been betrayed like that by any other business ever before. So this new CSR on the11th arranged service for for 8/12 and they finally showed up, replaced the modem and we are finally back in service. The last CSR was friendly and apologetic and took care of business. She was the best. So really bad and really good all in the same process.

I was 4 days late paying last bill and had an additional $18 totaling $95.05 for 8 days of service. Kindly asked for a waiver of late fee as I've never been late in 3+years. Nope. Have fun sending me to collections over that $18, won't see a dime. Centurylink can go F themselves.

Make sure you watch what they are adding/ removing on your account because apparently they don't know what they're doing. And when you go in the store to fix their mistake, you get charged hundreds of dollars on future bills. Customer service line is atrocious. I called multiple times, the first guy was terrible and put me on hold and did not look up my account. I had to tell him several times what my credentials were. In store associates need better training. They don't know what they're talking about and will give you the green light and promises of discounts but when you follow up with them later they will act like they didn't tell you that discount would apply. Retrain them or replace them at this point.
