Ohhhhhh Sephora ... Where do I even begin? Sephora itself is a go- to staple & has been for me for years . The bulk of my Sephora hauls are online and mainly because the in - store service option here in town is absolute crap! Occasionally when something is out of stock on line or I need a product in hand , I have to make the dreaded trip to the mall Sephora . It's painful EVERY-TIME . I could probably write a review for every single bad experience at this location but I'll save you the long stories . Do yourself a favor - avoid in store as much as possible . Went in the store to just buy foundation got matched with a color I was happy with however the sale women Sherry who took over was extremely pushy and critiquing the products from Clinique that I was using on my face and putting products that she suggested in my bag . Zach is the one to talk to. He gave my wife and daughter compliments on Mother's Day which I appreciate very much. We had an issue with a very rude young man with a very poor super queen attitude and Zach actively listened as well as replied accordingly. Sometimes people just want to feel like they are being shown some respect and funny enough you get that respect back in return (talking to you mr bad attitude queen with your terrible tone of voice and even worse body language). I have heard horror stories about employees at Sephora stores and from reading the other reviews on this particular store (Park Place) it seems that other people have had negative experiences. I am happy to say, that was not my experience. I've actually never had a bad experience at a Sephora but my most recent trip was exceptional and I felt it warranted a review. I walked into Sephora this weekend after not having a skin care routine for a long time - I was looking to start new and needed assistance finding the right products for my very dry skin. Valeria (I am so sorry if I mispelled her name) was amazingly helpful and took the time to listen to me, my concerns, and what I was looking for. She showed me a number of products at various price points and was not pushy at all. After she finished helping me, I was looking around the store and had another question. I sought her out and she was just as friendly and helpful as the first time. The employee who checked me out (I didn't catch her name, I'm sorry!) was also very friendly. This experience made me feel good about getting back into skin care, makeup, and Sephora. Thank you! read more

Sephora is generally a good place to shop, if you know what you're looking for. The service at this location is not the greatest. My personal opinion on skin care is to see a professional aesthetician not in a makeup store store. For make up consultations it's definitely inconsistent. I research product before I go and then ask to see if it's in stock. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would the staff is so incredibly rude, I've been going there for a good 3 years because it's so close to me and EVERY TIME I walk into that store, the same 2 girls give me a dirty look like I don't belong there, they ask me if I need help once and follow mea around the store, some products suck but are so expensive so I often ask for samples and they give me attitude whenever I ask for a sample. I had placed an order via the app for pick up. I went to pick up in store. immediately upon entering I wasn't greeted by a single person. There were at least 5 people working at the time. I went to the perfume aisle because there was one I had been wanting to try. I couldn't find it anywhere. I browsed for about 10 minutes and saw employees glancing, but not one approached. I go to the counter and explain to the woman checking out, Victoria, the situation at hand. I informed her I originally had come to pick up an order, but because not one single employee greeted nor assisted, I would need to immediately return that pick order based on principle, and would go to another store to buy it. She then said, "okay, what's your name?".... no apology, no contrition, nothing. I'm shocked but just want to get out of there at this point, so I wait for my refund. She then begins the return but the amount does not add up, so she calls over a CL, Kristen. I explain the situation to Kristen, mind you, I would still be willing to purchase the item if someone showed a hint of customer service, a simple, "oh I'm so sorry that happened", or "oh no that's not good, I hope I can still help you this afternoon", but nothing. After explaining to Kristen, her response was, "okay, sorry? let's get you refunded"... so I got my refund, and ordered from the Sephora in Tempe since only Sephora stocks the item I need. Such a shame. I won't visit here again. If any managers or anybody from corporate sees this, customer service at this location should be addressed. read more

Tons of makeup in this store. Very overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for. I went in for a face match and my first experience wasn't great. The rep grabbed three shades and said this one looks good and if it doesn't match bring it back. She didn't swatch it on my cheek or anything. So I went home and of course it's was so light and pink on me. I went back a few days later explained to a different person what's happened she grabbed a couple more colors, came back swatched those two and said I'm a pink base so go with this one. I told her I'm not a pink undertone I'm more of a yellow or olive. Went home tried that color and yup too light and pink. Went back the next day and another lady helped. I explained to her my frustration, she seemed a little more on ball with shade matching. She said we had to go darker cause I'm an olive undertone. She a dark color and when she swatched it on my cheek I thought man that's dark. But she said it will blend out.It did not blend out and I look very Oompa Loompa Orange. I decided to do my own research on the colors for the brand I was looking at and matched my self. Went back for the 4th time picked my own color and BAM!! Perfect shade. read more

The customer service was incredibly terrible. When I went to return a product all she said was "what's wrong with it?". Not hello, not goodbye thank you, not I'm sorry about that, nothing. I was left there not knowing if the money will go back into my card? Or what the process was. I stood there and she said nothing to me to know I was finished. Terrible customer service. Nathan was so nice and helpful. I've always found Sephora stores a bit intimidating since my makeup skills are very basic and some employees can be kind of rude when you're not familiar with their products. I decided to stop by and pick up an item I had been eyeing online. After looking for the product and having no luck I was on my way out until Nathan asked me if he could help. He was able to help me out and even showed me other cool items he thought I might also enjoy. I was surprised at how enthusiastic he was about helping out (compared to other Sephora experiences I've had). There are two other Sephora stores closer to me but I would definitely come back to this store if I'm ever in need of anything. read more

Poor customer service. Such a shame for a nice store with a good name. You go here and the employees make you feel like your bothering them. Seriously. I had to get the manager involved and he was everything a manger should be, nice, polite, customer service oriented. However the situation shouldn't have to come to that. When a customer makes a return WITH A RECEIPT, it should be a simple transaction. But No, these two girls at the counter, without hesitation and a snide attitude said, "we can't take that back" and just tried to send me on my way. It was incredibly rude. Unlike many of the other reviews on this Sephora I have only had one problem with one of the employees. I asked with help matching my skin to a shade of foundation and the lady didn't even care she just grabbed a shade and rudely stated that "it looked close enough" i think I would have freaked out and gave the place an extreme low review if it wasn't for some of the other employees helping me out and helping me find the out the correct shade and even helping my mother on another occasion find her favorite makeup item read more
