This LOCATION is a scam! Came to upgrade my iPhone and they only had two on display, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 pro max. I wanted to get something smaller than the pro max but said they didn't have such thing until I did more research came back to the store and they said OH they have the iPhone pro but it's not on display.. and charging me $90 to exchange. WHY SHOULD I BE PAYING FOR SOMETHING THEIR EMPLOYEES HAD NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT AND NOT ON DISPLAY. This place is a SCAM. It is not even a real Verizon store. On the receipt it says Victra which I assume is a 3rd party. They told me if I traded in my old phone then I would get a credit card towards a new phone. So I did it and later I find that the credit actually applies an equal amount each month over a 36 month contract?? Which is ridiculous. Also, they pulled out chargers and items I needed with the phone and I asked them, is this included in the cost of the phone and the sale lady said yes. What I didn't know until later is that they charged me for those items. Nothing was included. So when I thought I was paying the remainder balance of the phone after the trade in, what I was actually paying for were all of these over priced accessories that I could get on Amazon for much cheaper and various "set-up" fees. Do not come to this place. I wish they would not put such a scamming place in the black neighborhood. They also need to change the name above the store. It is not Verizon. read more

Always go to an actual Verizon store NOT an authorized retailer like this one. Even Verizon staff told me to stay away and I didn't listen and went here instead to get a new phone. Never again. They charge you for a "package" that they say is required (basically charges you for 3 phone accessories that they say is discounted but isn't- I looked online and I could've bought the 3 accessories online for way cheaper) and include fees for things I don't need or want like a "Redux Single" and they charge you $25 for a "set up and go" fee which actual Verizon stores do not charge. I left paying $324.00 for all these things that I would not have paid for if I had gone to an actual Verizon store. So predatory!! read more

They told us that this specific Victra store on Crenshaw is well known for scamming people and I should call and put in a formal complaint. Rachel was working at the time and she patiently listened to my questions, providing detailed information about costs, trade-in options, available discounts, and logistics for switching providers. Not a deal breaker, as I would've bought some sort of protection for the phone anyway. I wound up getting the iPhone XR and an iPad Pro. Highly incompetent staff. We ordered online for pick up and the following day we find out they sold the same phone we ordered to a physical in store customer. I needed that phone for work and because of this incompetency I had lost of income for the day. We tried rectifying this with Verizon customer service and they even called this actual store and got the manager on the other line. This guy snapped at us and told us he didn't care if he sold the phone to someone else and hung up. Also we went here for the same phone a month before (iphone 11 pro max) and the staff told us our final due was over $200. DO NOT go there to purchase your phone. Order it online. I may not have been the most pleasant walking through the door, but within minutes Eric turned my mood around. He listened, he understood, he reacted positively. He gave me the exact service that I deserved and lacked from my previous provider. I will add that Eric was the only rep in the store, not sure if that is the nature of this location (given the previous reviews), or if it's because I came in on a Sunday. I wanted to upgrade my iPhone to the 12 pro max. Larry told me I could upgrade to the 256 gb model, but that I would be required to also purchase a ~$160 add-on package consisting of a phone case, wall charger, screen protector, and portable battery. I said no I want to buy the phone alone. He told me I could not do that at this store, and would be required to get the add-on package. He then told me that the phone is sold out most places so this would be one of my only options. I ended up leaving and going to bestbuy where I was able to buy the iPhone by itself. Nice try Larry... I would love to keep this store as my own personal secret treasure, but I can't be selfish. We have become so attached and dependent on our communication devices that a malfunction that we can't fix is scary. I am not tech savvy at all. I do not have a Smartphone, but I have a tablet. My first tablet froze on me. I phoned Verizon tech support. I was told nothing could be done,except purchase a new one. To make sure, I took it to a Verizon store & was told the same. I paid for a new one & received it a couple of days later. This second tablet has been fine but recently camera lens turned black when focused to self mode. I tried everything. I took it to a Verizon store in the L.A. area. They said nothing could be done just get a new one. I figured I'd try phone tech support & order a new one if absolutely necessary. This decision caused me a week of anxiety. The phone technician guided me through a series of steps to " fix the problem". Everytime the screen showed "will cancel" I questioned tech but he promised at the end it would all be restored. The result is I ended up with a blank tablet. All accounts, pics, docs, texts gone. All I had left was new emails. Tech said sorry but it proved problem was with tablet & my insurance would send me a new one. I just couldn't believe It. I took my useless tablet to 3 Verizon stores to hopefully restore deleted material. No luck. When new tablet arrived, I took it to the Verizon store at 3732 Crenshaw Blvd. L.A. 90016 to activate it. I had not gone to this location first because I went for help there a few years ago & the employees then seemed annoyed they were asked for help. This time, I was fortunate to get the assistance of JOEL T. He was friendly, patient and professional. He activated my new tablet. I mentioned why I needed a new one and Joel asked to take a look at deleted tablet that originally only had a camera lens problem. Well, Joel not only RESTORED EVERYTHING. --- all previous accounts, passwords, pics, docs, texts, apps, everything. He even solved the camera lens problem that hours with phone tech support, & 3 other in-person Verizon stores could not. He saw a tiny piece of the cover had loosened just enough to COVER THE FRONT LENS! It was so minute, I didn't notice it and neither did anyone at any other store. Neither was it suggested to check by any phone techs. Now I had an unnecessary new tablet. I was so thrilled, I decided to keep the new tablet as a backup. Joel took the time and transferred everything. He got me a chair while waiting and waited for me to check everything was restored. He even installed a couple of other apps I wanted & explained them. He was a Saint and deserves to get at least a bonus if not a full raise $$$! This is definitely my go to store from now on. I've decided I will give in to a Smartphone & yes, I'm going to purchase from Joel. I'm confident he will guide me to the phone best for my needs & make sure I'm comfortable using it. ** Joel asked me to bring in first tablet that froze & he'd have a look at it. If he pulls off that miracle and gets that working again, I'll definitely celebrate it in a follow-up review! Best store and tech ever. Definitely recommend! read more
