My mom decided it was time to switch from T-Mobile to Verizon. She gets terrible service at her home and we knew Verizon worked. As an adult who is still on a family plan, I made the transfer over with her. Had a great experience with their staff. Castevian was super helpful and very patient with my mom. He helped her set everything up, my phone transfer was pretty easy. We also had him put our screen protectors on because that doesn't look like a fun task. We'll see how the service goes now but the activation part was great. read more

The store is jam packed. It's taking 45+ minutes per person to get through. Some people have been with an agent for more than an hour. Why not leave some associates free for quick questions and issues and for people that need an hour have folks to handle them. There's not really a complicated choice of plans or phones anymore. I am a senior that just retired - my company allowed me to keep my company phone. I had to port it to a new service. Verizon scammed me into setting up an account and then charging me for an early cancellation of that service. It was a 5 minute conversation with their customer service representative who told me I would see a charge but it would be credited to me. I never had an account with them. The same day I went to US Cellular and ported the phone and set up an account with them. The next thing I knew I received a bill in the mail from Verizon. I disputed it with their billing customer service but they refused to even listen to me on what happened. Now I have to pay $355.17. What a scam company. Do not trust Verizon!!! read more

Very unprofessional. I'd definitely never buy any phone at this location, you can tell all they care about is making a sell, I went there because after 6hrs on the phone w customer care they came to the conclusion that they would be able to help me but as soon as I walked in there, I wasn't greeted, the rep once she seen that she couldn't help me she just moved on, manager on service unprofessional as well, I was already frustrated due to customer service not helping and the store rep and manager didn't make it no better at all. We ordered new phones at Verizon. When the phones arrived, one was the wrong color. I went to the Verizon store so that they could fix their mistake. When I explained the reason for our visit, we were told that they couldn't help us because there were no appointments available that day. There was a total of 1 customer in the store and at least 6 employees milling about. This is horrendous service in a time when customers have endless choice in their wireless carrier. On top of that, I was told to call customer service to handle this issue. After over an hour on hold and being disconnected twice, I was asked to call back the next day. Unbelievable. read more

Poor customer service. I work third shift and woke up to my phone had done an auto update and was not working as it should . So i hopped on my motorcycle to find my local verizon store was closed. So i took the 12 mile drive to the 76th st corporate store. Where a gentleman met me out side to see what it was i needed. I told him the deal and he tapped a bounce and did a master rest and said i needed to take it to ubreakit. Across the street. Clearly was in a hurry to brush me off. I asked if i was do for an upgrade and he said just go to ubreakit. They were even less help full. Both knew very little about phones. Just kept tapping on the screen and say wow. I needed my phone asap so i went to US cell to trade in my plan . After 21 yrs with verizon but the service has slipped away. So i tell Will at the oak creek store what was going on and he looks it up on google and fixes it in 10 minutes. I am a ferm believer in good customer service. read more

More concerned about COVID restriction enforcement than helping customers. The occupancy limit is stricter than state mandates and forces people to stand fit long periods waiting for service. When I asked about the restrictions as to how many allowed in store received curt answer . I don't need cell phone store personnel acting as enforcers of COVID laws we have enough government doing that. time to look for another provider. read more

I went in bc my iPhone wasn't working right and after consulting with the Apple Store @ Mayfair Mall they said it was a phone problem and that I should just go back and get a new one from the Verizon store who issued the phone, Chris...was a dick. I told him the problems I was having and he became hostile and started treating me like I did something wrong for not backing up my phone within the past week. They have improved a lot since the last time I was here although I still think they have a long ways to go before I can say "I'm going to stop in to Verizon" and not be apprehensive about how well the representative I'm going to get will actually know what they're talking about. The biggest improvements I noticed are: they are much more organized and things run smoothly (unlike they used to) and the second thing I noticed is that they are not as pushy as they used to be either. I still highly recommend double checking what a representative at this location tells you against what customer service says before you agree to anything. More often than not, the representatives in the store will promise / guarantee something they actually can't do / provide. read more

This review is for the store only. Not going to rant about cell providers because there is not a perfect company. We went to the store on 4/14/14 to get information on upgrading 4 phones and adding a 5th line. You would think that any sales rep would be ecstatic to jump at the chance of scoring 5 sales. Well apparently NOT! Walking in the store it looks like a Starbucks. I guess they recently remodeled the store so the layout is very disorganized with displays scattered around the store and many phones are not labeled correctly. I'm assuming company's like samsung are paying to have there displays up front and also have employees push there products (potentially more commission?) unto customers. I'll explain more later. So since the store is set up like a maze you will get greeted by someone with a tablet asking for your name so someone can help you. I understand they want sales rep to all have an equal shot so they rotate taking turns on customers. Unfortunately our rep Greg seemed to not be interested in helping and had an attitude from the very beginning. This is how he approached us and exactly what he asked. What did you need today? What's the phone number? I need to see an id. Didn't bother introducing himself. No people skills whatsoever. My mom had questions about her current phone not working good. He acted like she was stupid and didn't know how to update an iPhone and that was the cause of her problems. She said yes I do know how to update it and that has nothing to do with not getting my texts or the performance of the phone being slow. He then said let me look and said the problem is she has too many pics and videos. Really??? Ok so obviously he didn't know what he was talking about. We made a comment about the samsung phones being bigger and maybe not fitting into our pockets. He seemed to get offended and said it not much bigger than our iPhones. Ok we are not blind and by comparing our phones to the display phones the samsung's are bigger! But he insisted we were wrong. We both looked at each other and thought...wow what is this guys problem? Moving on...I asked him to let us know if we could transfer everything from our iPhones to a samsung galaxy 5. He guaranteed we could take everything from our iTunes and purchases from the App Store and put it into the galaxy 5 and that supposedly the samsung rep told him there is an app. Ok what is the app called? Hmmm yea I can't remember. My mom told him to ask someone else because maybe they knew. He had a tablet in his hand i'm sure he could goggle the question but instead mr know it all, walked to the front of the store and left us in the back. He didn't bother asking anyone. He came back and said he was sure but couldn't give us anymore info. Lucky my mom got a called so she excused herself and when she left to talk I told him, thanks you can go ahead and help someone else while we decide. So this is the reason why I have bought my last two phones off of verizonwireless online and don't go to there stores anymore because the sales reps who make commission really don't seem motivated or knowledgeable or give a damn about the customers who keep them employees. I asked about the edge program and I knew more about it just from what I read online than Greg the know-it-all sales rep. Every employee is walking around with tablets so what is the need to go in a store unless you need the phone on the spot or want to look at them? The Verizon staff member we were given to work with, Reece, gave horrible customer service. He was very rude especially when we asked him about specific info about Samsung phones and for help/advice. He seemingly refused to get up and walk 10 feet to the phones on display until we asked another worker and they told him to get up and help. In the middle of us asking questions he walked away quietly and sat back down. Perhaps he was having a rough day but there was no reason he couldn't have tried harder. Further more he discouraged my various choices of the Samsung phones because he said he is not a Samsung user. Overall I will not be returning to this Verizon store. read more

I went in Saturday the 2nd. Came in to get a new cover for my phone. They no longer carry the iphone4 so Dan offered a "deal", a combo tablet and upgrade my iphone to the iphone SE. (I don't really need the tablet, but he told me without the tablet it wouldn't be any less of a deal....) He also included a new app Hum that allows me to track my car's driving route, where I parked if I forget, and roadside assistance! Something I could have used the day before!! Everything was working before I left. I was there for about 2-3 hours while he and his supervisor downloaded the new phone, settings, ect. but I have to go back and reset the Hum equipment to my phone. He calculated my bill and promised it would be about a 100$ next month for the equipment and after that my bill would be only a dollar more! I have 14 days to change my mind, but I know problems usually occur after two + months. So, go see Dan Solution Specialist if you go to Verizon. read more

This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. My phone just needs a new SIM. I rushed there after work before they closed at 5 and the girl helping me refused to give me one because my account name is under my maiden name, and my license is my new legal last name. I've been married four years and I bought this phone two weeks ago using my legal married name. I offered her my social security number to verify and she said that wouldn't work. She asked if I had a birth/marriage certificate on me. I find that completely unacceptable. Nobody carries those sensitive documents around, and this isn't an organ transplant. My driver's license and SS # should have sufficed. Also, her alternative solution was incorrect: When I called Verizon customer service for an e-SIM as she said, they told me I needed a new physical SIM card, and an e-SIM would not work. So I am going to a different location later today who will be able to resolve it better than this location, and with better customer service. read more

Came in for a minor glitch on my phone on 11/22/19. I checked in and waited an HOUR. They took people before me and failed to really acknowledge or give me updates on how much longer. People that came in after me were leaving because of the wait. Workers are all bums and like to sit and around talking about random stuff. Absolutely terrible customer service. We had very bad customer service here when I went into the store on 12/22/18. That was "helping" (that term is used lightly in this situation) me never introduced himself, and never even asked my name. Just asked what we wanted. I told him I was thinking about a new I-Phone and he walked us over pointed at them at proceeded to play with the tablet he was carrying around, and about three min later asked if I chose which one I wanted yet. Very unhelpful and not open to answering questions. I do not think he gave us eye contact the whole time. I am spending $1,000 here, it would be nice if I had some sort of customer service. I ended up just picking one since I was not going to get the help that I needed. He then proceeded to try and sell me a case, charger etc... I decided I only wanted a case and her actually told me I would be sorry if I didn't purchase the wireless charger. I informed him I was ok for now with the charger provided in the box and he still wouldn't let up. Very pushy and rude. He then tried to get me to purchase the insurance on the phone, which I also declined... to which her stated and I quote " OH just wait until 6 months from now when you drop your phone and break it and you owe us $750.00 before we will give you a new one, then you will wish you would have taken the insurance, and listened to me today." By this point I literally feel like crying because this guy is so rude and has no respect for his customers. He then swiped through the whole phone set up and didn't show me anything about the phone and then stated if I want I could come back in 20 min and get it because there was an update installing. So me and my boyfriend went to eat and came back an hour later. A different guy (with manager on his badge) asked us what we wanted and I told him I was here to get the phone I already purchased. He went to the back and came out 5-6 min later stating that "Apple servers are slow right now so it is taking forever for the update to install'... when in fact the guy that was helping us before that never actually installed it. I then tried to talk to this "manager" about my concerns with the other guy earlier and he defended the guy the whole time, and even stated "It is the Holidays we don't have time to show customers details of the phones or help them set them up... We are just too busy" ... Which is completely untrue because there were three other employees sitting at tables helping customers set up their new phones... One guy was even helping put on a screen protector. I still can not believe an employee of this store would tell me they are too busy to provide customer service it is completely ridiculous. Needless to say, I took my phone home and installed the updates myself which only took about 4 minutes. I am so appalled by the rude and lying people at this store. I called customer service to talk about it and they told me they sent an email to the general manager of this store but no one has contacted me regarding this issue and it has now been 10 days, so apparently they do not care either. I think I need to switch to another service provider, I have never had this issue with US Cellular or actually any other Verizon Store I have been to read more

I wouldn't normally write a review about this kind of business, but I felt I had to because of how awkward the experience was. I went in to upgrade a phone. I walked in with 2 other people (that I didn't know), and immediately upon walking in they were surrounded by employees asking if they needed any help. I quietly slide over to the phones, thinking I made a clean break and hoping to look at what my option were. But, I was quickly accosted by a man wearing a suit, holding some sort of computer tablet. He asked how I was doing and what my name was. So, I gave up my thought of being able to look at phones alone and introduced myself. He then told me he was the manager and he would send someone over to help me. He was gone before I could tell him I was just looking and would let them know when I needed help. He walked over to another employee that was standing only 15 feet away, just looking at us, and he sent her over to help. That employee, Madonna, was very helpful and things went smoothly after that. I just HATE walking into stores and immeditaely being jumped on by employees asking to help me. give me a second to come into your store, take a breath and look around. If there are 10 of you there, just be available for me when I need your help. And then, don't jump on me if you can't even help. There is no need for you to introduce yourself and ask if you can help, if you are simply going to turn around and send someone else over to help me. I avoid going into this store whenever possible, because their customer service is simply Annoying! read more

If it weren't for their reliable, fast network, I would probably bolt away and return back to Sprint, who had excellent customer service on the phone and excellent, working payment options. I setup autopay, confirmed it with Verizon's customer service the past 4 months, and still didn't get the bill auto debited. Finally, after 4 months Verizon's call center tells me there are issues with the credit card that I am using. Wow, why couldn't they tell me that 4 months sooner. Luckily, I covered the payment on my bill those 4 months, and they waived the late fees. I hung up on the first service rep because he was blaming the whole situation on the bank. My VISA credit card was not even issued through a bank, and has been the same card I having been paying my bill with for the past 4 months. I have cell and home phone service with Verizon. My home phone service has been very sporadic, at best, but it finally stopped working. I took the black box to the Greenfield store to have them look at it. When I walked in I was told it would be a 25 minute wait. You'd think they would have enough employees to handle their rush hours; but no. After 25 minutes, I asked how much longer it would be. There were still 5 people in front of me. At that point I got upset, and I admit I did use a swear word, but only in the context of my response and not directed as an insult to the employee. They have very little seating, so I had to stand the whole time and I wound up waiting almost an hour. A woman finally came to assist me (I thought). I think she was pregnant, maybe that's why she was so surly. Well she took my black box into the back and returned in about 2 minutes (at the most). She told me I would have to buy a new one for $99. She also said it might be a defective cord. I asked her if she could give me a cord and she said no; that I would have to buy a whole new box. She was so cold and rude, and unkind, that it upset me even more. At that point I was an irate customer, and apparently they don't train their employees in good customer service because she had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I called their 1-800 number when I got home, and the tech sent me a new cord (free). I got it in two days and it worked. Why couldn't they have done that at the store? She did absolutely nothing to resolve my problem. Didn't even offer! I can't wait till my contract is up. I'll go anywhere else. read more
