Upgraded my phone a few days ago and the process was AMAZING, Carley specifically. She was very knowledgeable about everything as well as very polite. She helped me not only to understand my bill, but to feel confident in what exactly I was being charged for! She even found ways to save me money, after some digging we realized that I would benefit from multi-line insurance instead of single line, which will save me around $40 a month. Horrible customer service. My Google Pixel 3 doesn't work unless plugged into a wall now, and even with insurance they wanted a 200 dollar deductible for a year and a half, obsolete phone. I shouldn't have to pay 25% extra for a phone that I use in a perfectly normal manner. Was told I have to contact Google to get support. But Google refuses to offer tech support if you are not on Twitter or Facebook. Was told by Taylor (who was rude and dismissive the entire time) and what I can only assume was the manager Justin that this wasn't their problem. Told me that making Verizon customers happy "isn't his job". Pretty sure the entire reason you squeeze into that polo shirt every day is to see that your employees make Verizon customers happy, Justin. And you didn't do your job. Forced to leave the store when I called them on their bullshit and got what I feel is understandably upset that I am saddled with a phone that doesn't work as intended for the last six months of my contract. I have been with Verizon for several years and the customer service their USED to be outstanding well not anymore. I had a past due of about $37 and was treated like I don't pay my bill. I'm paying $160 per month and was treated as if I was months behind and when I questioned why I just paid off a month I had another month owing in about a week and was told "That's the way it goes" excuse me the rep didn't want to look at what the problem was I found out the problem on my own I wish there were more phone services offered in my area because I'd be switching in a nano second! read more

Manager is incredibly unhelpful and lazy. The jet pack I got from here didn't work, but the manager told me that they wouldn't take it back because I didn't have the original box (although my receipt said nothing about having to return the box). They made me drive 45 minutes to another Verizon store, which was also unhelpful and made me go to another Victra location in a mall across the street; this Victra location was helpful, took it back, proving that the Victra in Grass Valley could have done the same, and not wasted 4 hours of my time!! I am beyond annoyed and frustrated with these people!! Celeste and Destiny are friendly, helpful and professional, and that's the only reason I'm not giving this facility a 1 star review... but the manager here and at the Verizon corporate location in Roseville were horribly unhelpful and should not be working in sales or customer service. read more

Victra...Nevada City Highway.....have never had such poor service. I went to buy an iPhone 11, home phone and mobile service. I have excellent credit rating and Ashley was requiring my original Social Security Card I received in Jr High School and with my maiden name. I made 4 visits and in the end I either had to change my Driver's License to my maiden name or get a reissue of SS card in married name. I brought in numerous Soc Sec documents that were rejected as proof of my identity; they would not even accept my passport. I left frustrated, ready to cry and angry.... I called corporate office and spoke to Sharene, who checked and found out I was already preapproved!!?? I then went to Victra on Freeman Lane and received AMAZING service from Corbin and staff. While I did spend some time there to get everything set up, Corbin was patient, attentive, courteous, respectful. I was ready to give up on Verizon, but was encouraged to try this office. Today I got an email asking to call if I had any issues. This is evidence the owners put in an auto response email with each of my responses and do not care about their customer service. I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and have exclusively visited the location on Nevada City Highway in Grass Valley. Corban helped me with getting set up with my upgrade from an iphone6s to a 10xr. His manager Brandon was also very helpful. I could tell they have a supporting work relationship. Verizon also had a wonderful promotion going and they made sure I received as much as possible with my trade in and discounts for bundling accessories. I am a Verizon customer for life! I had an appointment with Joseph, he assured me even though I could not load my pictures and other things to the cloud before buying a new phone he said "I can find them"my contacts,pictures,texts are extremely important for my business. He absolutely did what he said he could do. I knew which phone I wanted and he changed my Att account to my husbands verizon. I was able to keep my phone number as well. I really appreciated that he listened and explained everything. We were out of the store in a couple of hours. My husband bought a new phone as well since he has been having problems with an older phone. Im curious, the review, which was not favorable, I posted about this location is mysteriously absent. Hhhmm I went into the store to get help with a data transfer from my old Iphone to my overpriced new one. There were three or four people, chatting behind the register when I walked in. One of them walked toward me and offered assistance. I relayed my problem, that only part of the data transferred. He stated it would be a $30 charge to do it. I expressed out loud exasperation at the fee. Given this day and age with retailers fighting to keep YOUR business, Verizon wireless is continuing to charge pre-covid Market rates. I begrudgingly agreed to the fee. One of the people, gals, behind the register, let out an audible noise at my response, shook her head and rolled her eyes; im sure you can picture it. I turned and looked directly at her and said, Arent you just a sweetie. This conversation doesn't concern you. (i know it was snotty but she needed to be held accountable for poor customer service and social skills). Helpful person asked for my password out loud to complete the transfer. The little sweetie heard it, just as the other staff members did. When the helpful guy told me i needed to leave my cell phone there for about an hour to complete the transfer, I looked at him and then Sweetie, and said no. I wasn't about to leave my information within arms reach of the snotty, poor customer service gal. I wont be back, I dont think they care. They dont care about training their employees how to effectively interact with the public or screen them for basic courtesy. read more

I went into the Victra store next to KMart in Grass Valley, CA and what wonderful service! They found a mobile plan which pleased me and I signed up. The phone and I had some misunderstandings, so I went back in for problem solving which had nothing to do with telephone service. The young man in charge was so capable, polite and willing to help and help he did. I went in a third time as the phone was not on auto pay, something I could have done myself, but was afraid to try. The young manager, Brandon, was fantastic! He got me on to auto pay and was most courteous and very sharp. What a contrast to the other mobile phone stores I've been in before. I've recommended this store to three people and two have already signed up! These young men give me hope for the future. What a fabulous group! They are dishonest. They told my wife she had to buy a second phone with a new number. She believed them. Now she has her old phone with her old number still working, and a new phone with a new number that she is paying for, but not using. They refuse to refund her money. They just keep gloating that the phone is non returnable. We checked with Verizon the company, not this reseller. They told us that we had been cheated and that we should ask for our money back. We have asked twice and been refused twice. Please drive to a Verizon corporate store (There is one near Galleria). Never ever use this reseller. read more

Pretty solid service. Activation for a pre-payed for phone took around a half hour due to some complications but was ultimately figured out.

Do not buy at this store!!! The only reason I switched from Sprint is because they falsely claimed their home Internet service was unlimited data just like their phones. Only they delayed the Internet install until after the phone return timeline lapsed with no possibility of returning the phones. They sold us lifetime screen protectors knowing the $55 Puregear Tempered Glass covers crack and break within weeks of use, but it takes two weeks to order replacements which is beyond their 30 day return policy. So they will not give a refund for a known defective product. These people want your money more than they want you as a customer. What a big mistake buying anything from this store! read more

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 15 years and if I was rating the actual company itself, I would give it 4 to 5 stars. But my experiences with their various stores goes from 1 to 2 stars and this particular one has me so irritated I can't see straight. The major problem I see is that Verizon seems to only hire kids to run these places. And there must be pressure to sell, sell, sell. My son went in to replace his phone (he's 16) and bought a phone that requires a digital plan - something he was not told and we didn't know about till I got the bill. A call to Verizon straightened me out on this one but also informed me that no cell phone store is legally allowed to sell a cell phone to a minor without an adult present. So obviously the pressure to sell is overwhelming the law here and divulging the costs of a phone is also not given in order to sell, sell, sell. read more

I went in today because I was eligible for upgrade. I wanted to upgrade to an iPhone 6S, 128GB. Encountered a few issues. 1. The sales person I dealt with must have been new and was not very knowledgeable. Since it seems for the past 2 or 3 years Verizon has been changing the terms of their EDGE program (recently, it's no longer called EDGE), I wanted to verify with her what the terms are now. Do I need to pay 50% of the phone off before I'm eligible for upgrade? 60%? 100%? It's a pretty important piece of information and really the biggest selling point for me since I always like to upgrade to the current model phone. Just not sure how you get put on a sales floor and not even know this detail. They didn't have the phone I wanted in stock because in her words, "the 128GB are RARE". Ok, maybe rare during the first few weeks of launch due to demand , but it's been 2 months since launch. Later on, I called another Verizon store (an actual corporate store) and they had every single color available in 128GB. Rare, LOL. 2. She starts ringing me up and asks the manager next to her what the price of the phone is. She guessed $860 at first and then confirmed with the manager that the price of the phone was $860. She manually types $860 in. I said, "$860? Retail price on the phone is $849." To which she replies, "Oh really? Did Apple change their prices or something?" I said, "No, their pricing model has always been relatively the same. $849, $749, $649." At this point, the assistant manager steps in and says, "Well that may be the price at the Verizon corporate stores and at Apple, but we get ours from a different supplier and we pay $849 and then resell." WHAT?!?!?! I couldn't believe my ears. She expected me to believe that her company pays full retail for each phone and then they charge $11 on top of that for their profit? To me, it just reeks of crookedness that they are charging OVER retail price on a phone. The way the assistant manager defended it, made it worse. I wasn't born yesterday. 3. When my salesperson was putting my order in, I see her add insurance on my account. I asked her why she was adding insurance, when I didn't want insurance. She said that she HAS to add it in the order (even though I'm plainly looking at an option that says NO INSURANCE). She said that when my phone comes in, I can call customer service and cancel it. Let me get this straight. You want to add on a completely optional service (at $11/month) to my bill, then make me call customer service just to cancel it? She then proceeded to tell me the benefits of having insurance, blah blah blah. Thank you but I know what the purpose of insurance is. I asked the assistant manager next to her if this was a Verizon policy that it needs to be added or her store policy. She stated that this was the store policy. This one put me over the edge and I cancelled the order altogether. Again, it reeks of crookedness. I feel like they get some type of commission from this and hope when people order from them that they forget to cancel the insurance. TL;DR - This Verizon reseller has very shady practices. They charge MORE than full retail price for their phones and also FORCES you to add $11/month insurance on to your account. I feel like a lot of people would miss this, so just beware. I would have missed all of this if I wasn't paying attention to what she was entering in on my order. The demographics of this area tell me that this crooked store will get away with this 9 times out of 10. I will never go back to this store based on principle. read more

Wow! Ordered a phone through Verizon for pick up at their store and they sold it to someone else. No problem at first, because Verizon said they would replace with the next model up, and to call the store in question to take care of it. Just got off the phone with Kimberly. Extreamly rude, And refused to help. You need to deal with Verizon, we cancelled your phone sale on our end and we are done with it. I explained there are notes on my account that Verizon would cover the cost of the next phone model higher, she cut me off and blame ME for the problem. "You ordered a phone on our busiest day of the year". I explained I had actually ordered the phone the day before, it was in stock at the time of order and .. she cut me off mid sentence AGAIN and said "is there anything ELSE (with heavy emphasis on the else) I can help you with?" It was clear she was done talking to me about it. Total time of the phone conversation was 1 minute, 26 seconds. Thank you for selling my phone, blaming me for ordering a phone when you were busy (that was actually ordered the day before) and refusing to help when Verizon has already offered to cover the cost of upgrading to a phone you DO have in stock. I have 9 active Verizon devices and have been with Verizon for almost a decade! Now I remember why I always deal with ACTUAL Verizon stores, and these low budget strip mall "authorized retailers" who are one step below used car salesman. They have no professionalism, lack integrity and treat customers like garbage. read more

The staff are nice however terribly disorganized and misleading. I ultimately had to go to Verizon corporate to report the amount of issues I had within the past few months. I needed to upgrade my phone and went over all the paperwork for the Google Pixel 3. I was told I had 30days to bring it back in the store if there was any issues. Finished signing the contracts and when they went to grab my phone they didn't have any in stock. The manager said he'd call me in a couple days when the phone arrived. 3 days passed and there was no news. I went in store and talked to the associate they said the managers were unavailable but immediately pulled my phone from the back room. Throughout the month I had my new phone I went in several times to the store during the day and called in advance to sit with a manager. Upon arrival the staff didn't know where the manager was even though they were scheduled to be there. I told them the multiple issues my new phone was having (dropping calls, disconnecting from Bluetooth, speaker not working on calls, shorter battery life then what they claimed,etc) and ran me around in circles saying to restart it and even said replacing the Sim card would fix it. Obviously, no luck there. I went back in and said I need to get a new phone and said since it was 16 days since the purchase of the new phone (mind I didn't get it until it had been 3 days since signing the papers) I was stuck with it. They said they are only able to do device returns within 14 days although the manager told me directly it was 30 days. I am incredibly dissapointed with the defective phone they suggested as well as the lack of service or care for their costumers. Management and costumer service has never been so terrible in the 20+ years my family has gone to their location. Certainly will never do business with them again. read more

The staff I encountered at this store, Corban specifically, claimed he was an expert after 2 years in the field but was actually misinformed and dismissive. So much so that I actually considered leaving Verizon. He was not remotely interested in helping me trouble shoot the possible problem with my phone (a problem that I later discovered, by visiting a different store, was in fact created by his employee after a simple activation) but instead he repeatedly suggested phones just stop working and his solution was I would need to get a new phone. A manager that is clearly only after the sale. So if you are interested in helping boost employee commissions for terrible service this is your store. If you are looking for genuine support and staff that actually care about helping Verizon customers, try the McKnight store!!! I have to laugh that Corban T.(the assistant manager at this Fowler Center location) felt the need to review his own store, stating he "almost didn't come in due to bad reviews but..." obviously trying to counter what real customers are reporting. Do not go to this Verizon store! They do not stand behind their word...my husband spent an hour on Monday at this store talking to Jake who ordered us a phone for our daughters birthday. He said that the phone would be here tomorrow Tuesday however we never heard so we waited another day and still heard nothing. We finally called only to find out that the phone had been there but no one called us. So my husband and daughter drove down to pick the phone up. However after 2 hours of putting everything together the salesman tonight who apparently is a manager would not honor the deal that is online and was promised to us by Jake. Instead he tried to sell my husband everything under the sun and not honor the price his associate gave us. The website even says best price guaranteed! My husband and very upset daughter walked out extremely upset. No one at that store tried to make it right. What a waste of time! We will end up getting the correct deal online.
