I normally leave this place so mad I can't stand it and want to change our cell phone provider. But not this time. I took my iPhone in yesterday because it was stuck and would not do any thing. So after a 30 minute wait I was helped. I found out that I was due for an upgrade and that we were on s very old plan. So I picked out another phone and changed our plan. I went in a few days ago to check out phones. I already did my research and knew pretty much what I wanted. I ended up getting something else due to budgets, but that is besides the point. I worked with TJ, and he was great. Very knowlegable on the products, and if he didn't know something, he was honest about it. All I can ask for is honesty when it comes to buying cell phones. I have had both good and bad experiences in this store, but this weekend was a great one! If you are going in and need help, make sure TJ is there, he will get you the help you need. The only thing I wish I had done was take more pictures with the LG Vista. It is a good phone, but the camera does not take good quality pictures. I would not buy the phone again if I had the option, solely because of the camera. read more

Today I went to Verizon in Gilroy to get help with my new iPhone. Had to have everything transferred from my android and didn't want to attempt it myself. I was greeted right away and one of the techs named Isaac immediately said he would help me. He was very friendly AND patient with me. I had told him I am not very good with doing this kind of stuff. And he said no problem and proceeded to go thru the steps with me. I told him I had went to hollister Verizon yesterday but they wanted to charge me $35!!!! And I'm so glad I didn't pay the $$$$!!! The Hollister Verizon is not part of corporate anymore so if anyone needs any technical help it's very much worth it to drive the short distance to Gilroy. The worst customer service I have ever came across ! Unbelievable that this business is still open.

We originally bought three phones from them and set up our service. Since then we have continued with Verizon service and purchased two phones. Due to the rudeness of the customer service people there I have not purchased a new phone for myself. Everytime I go there I get so annoyed with them I can't even finish picking out a phone, they act like they are put out to help you choose a phone, they are into the quick sale in and out person. Don't ask a question or they have a melt down. I like Verizon cell phone coverage but am not happy with our local store, they are just rude. The employees at this store are really frustrating. I was buying a case for my droid 2 so I waited behind one other person at the desk. I stood there for five minutes while there were four other employees just making small talk in the middle of the store. I gave up and asked if one of them could ring me up. One of them did and I was on my way. I just don't understand why, if there are 4 people standing around and plenty of cash registers available, I was made to wait in line and had to actually ask to make a purchase. read more

Worth your time to read. I have been a verizon customer since they started. Recently purchased two new iphones at this store. Clerk said with that purchase we were eligible to receive one "free" phone and there were a few to choose from. He said it would cost an extra $9.99 a month for the service. He told us that there would be no $25 activation fee and that there would be no other charges associated with the purchase of this phone. We paid for everything in the store. When I received my verizon bill I noticed they were charging me $25 for the activation. I also noticed a charge for almost $80 for "data equipment". I called 1800verizon and they told me that the store was responsible for this so I had to call the store. I called the store and they said I needed to show up in person with my ID and receipts and could not solve my problem over the phone. They said the only other option was to call 1800verizon. I called 1800verizon again and they told me they could not take care of it and that I had to go to the store. However they did tell me that the almost $80 "data equipment" charge was for the "free" phone I received. They said that the phone was free after you mailed in the rebate otherwise it was $50. The remainder was for the tax on the original price of the phone. The sales clerk never said anything about a rebate or having to pay taxes for the original price of the phone. Notice they don't charge you while you are in the store paying for your original items. They wait til time has passed and disguise it in your cell phone bill. It's not labeled as a samsung phone, and the tax is included and not seperate like all the other tax charges on your bill. They conveniently make it so that it can't be challenged over the phone and make you go back to the crowded store. Knowing that for many people it will cost them more to try and solve the problem than the cost of the problem itself. When you go back to the store they will conveniently tell you that they forgot to tell you about the rebate and forgot to give you the form with your receipt. They will also tell you they forgot to tell you that you would have to pay the taxes on the original price of the phone ( which was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced). Then they will tell you that it was the billing department's fault for charging you the $25 activation fee because that should not have been on there. Deceptive, lying, fraudulent, crooks... I wonder how many people are taken by this Verizon Scam every day... read more

I have always had a hard time at every Verizon store. From the moment I would walk in I always felt as if I were being watched like a hawk; similar to a car dealership. Or I would get rude sarcasm or plain ignorance if I was there for a technical issue. Finally, I found a store where my experience was stress free and so helpful. Jonny was the representative that helped me. I was so relieved to find someone who didn't care just about making a sale and getting me out the door, he made sure I was happy and understood everything before I left. I have had Verizon for several years. I went to this store and was treated so poor that I walked out, again. Jonny not only talked to me like I was an idiot, but he managed to talk me out of phones. He had a disgusting hickey or tattoo that he was trying to cover up with a too small bandaid that even my 11 year old noticed and promptly informed me of. You may have to wait for your turn, once they get to you the service is as though you are their only customer. So my not so awesome iPhone decides it doesn't like the SIM card that has been nicely housed inside its case for the past year now. So when my phone stopped working, and trying all the internet tricks to fix...I decided to stop by the closest Verizon store which was 15 minutes in Gilroy. Nervous I was about to pay a fortune to fix my phone I was promptly greeted by a friendly employee by the door. I told him my dilemma and he got my phone and took off asking another employee to please get him a sim replacement card. When she returned like lightning with a new card she introduced herself and began fixing my phone. And just like that...in a few short minutes they had my phone fixed, offered to demo the new flying drone I was eyeing and thanked me for coming in today. I have been a Verizon customer for many years. I have never had a problem with the online services. My advice is to stay away from this Verizon store. I bought two blackberries, both with defective batteries. The manager refused to honor the one year warranty although the phone was only two weeks old. Verizon online did honor it. The store advised me to buy insurance for the defective phone and then make a claim after 30 days. The reason I had to buy a phone was that my original blackberry had an error code. The store said they did not fix error codes. After purchasing a new phone I found out that the phone could be easily repaired by going to www.blackberry.com and downloading the desktop manager. read more

Horrible! This store is a joke. I never write reviews on here, but had such bad experiences in this store i felt a review was necessary. The most recent I waited over an hour to meet with someone to get nothing accomplished. We have a company plan and for some reason I was deleted as an executive on the account. When they went into to check my history their computers weren't allowing them to go further than a couple months back. Every time I visit this store I receive deplorable and degrading service! Most recently, I visited to get help with a contract issue. Rather than taking a few minutes to investigate the issue,Travis accused me of being dishonest and then after that insult, accused me of losing a phone, which I emphatically denied. He then blew me off, saying it was my issue and there was nothing to do on their end! Making it even worse, Alisha took over and again, rather than taking a few minutes to investigate, she ignored my issue and began trying to sell me on an upgrade. After calling corporate, where the amazingly fantastic service rep, Brittany, spent a few minutes investigating and proving that the issue was a Verizon mistake, made by a Verizon store, where I purchased the original phone (which needed to be replaced due to a manufacturing malfunction), she went above and beyond to correct the Verizon error. She even called the store to try to challenge the issue and they were nasty to her too! Please be very careful if you purchase anything from this store and/or try to get service assistance. read more

There a couple of employee's( manager & assist. manag.) at the store that did help in my situation(s). Unfortunately, it is not the store itself I have a problem with to be exact. It is the the Verizon Wireless Corp. To not take too much time, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing! Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with in all of my 50 + years. If at all possible minimize business with them. If I could communicate to my family members through two cans on a string, I would absolutely do so! I don't need flashy phones. This store is not very helpful. I went into the store Saturday morning when they opened. They had only 1 person on the floor helping incoming customers. I asked a simple question of whether or not I was eligible for an upgrade. She could not answer the question. She went and asked another employee and then came back and said it would be just a minute and she would let me know. 20 minutes later, I asked her again and she said that she was still checking. After 40 minutes and no one helping me, I left. This store is a very poor example of customer service. I kept on getting alerts from Verizon while I was waiting and asking me to log in on my phone to check for updates. I did this while I was waiting and the app requested a "final payment" before I could upgrade except I owe nothing on my phone as I had it for years. Terrible service. I like Verizon cell service overall but will no longer shop at my local Gilroy store. This is not a "one off" experience as every time I have been to this store, they are way too busy and understaffed to take care of the customer load. This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I went in to exchange a phone I got my daughter for Christmas. All we wanted was a color change from white to black for a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. First off, the place did not look very busy, but our wait time was 1 hour 45minutes. They just do not have process methods that allow them to process customers very quickly. Never, ever, go to this store if you have any other alternative. One customer was with a service rep the entire time I was waiting. What could possibly take 1hr45 to resolve? At one point they had two clerks standing around and taking names for putting people who arrived in the queue and only two service agents processing people who waited. When we finally got to agent, we were told it was going to be $35 restocking fee to swap the phone. We had never even opened the box!!! I asked them to waive the fee and they said they had no control over that part of the system, I would have to pay the money and then call the phone based customer service to ask for a rebate. In person, they can provide less service than over the phone? So instead, I had them take my new black Note 4 and switch the phone number with my daughters white phone. I prefer black, but I wasn't going to be exhorted $35 for that privilege, as I had no confidence my phone experience would be better than the store experience. That swap part went OK, as the rep took both phones out of their boxes, powered them up, activated them and then swapped the SIM cards and verified. The reps seem to be OK and are knowledgeable and polite. Whoever manages the processes, the staffing levels, return policies, their queueing method, etc. needs to be fired. It's too bad they combine such great products and phone/data service with such unbelievably bad customer service. read more

I love Verizon service so i keep dealing with them, but over the years the quality in this store is going downhill. Most of the associates are short and quick. Occasionally you get an associate that is really nice and genuine but other than that they aren't that personable. I just bought a droid razor maxx from them that they bragged about great battery life and how good of a phone it was. The guy shipped it to the wrong address after i clarified multiple times. He was nice and it seemed like an honest mistake but extremely frustrating still when i had to wait over a week for a phone. Now I am frustrated because the phone is not that great. It has only been activated for a day and the battery died in less than 24 hrs and several things are forcing closed. Not that impressed and for 400 dollars on an upgrade i should be. the last phone they pushed me to get ended up being pulled from the shelves a few weeks later and was a total piece of crap that i was stuck with for 2 years. read more

Horrible Verizon store. Terrible wait times. Even worse service. Not only is the average wait time 1-3 hours for the one or two sales people but when you do get help the sales people are nmmmot that friendly or knowledgeable. And want to know about the latest deals and offers. Dont bother, they won't tell you about them. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for 16 years and this store is an embarrassment. And their manager Roland is no better than his minions. He doesn't give customers he is helping full attention and he lies to customers. I was a recent recipient of such. And was sent driving all the way to Salinas and back because Roland couldn't be honest about an upgrade. Instead he told me I needed to go to the Salinas store to get the new Samsung s5. Turns out i wasn't eligible for the upgrade. Why couldn't Roland just say so instead of sending me 35 miles and an hour of driving out of my way. After all my recent experiences with his store I will be sending an email to corporate. And I will be switching after 16 years to AT&T. Because aside from a deplorable store, the 4g lte is a joke. My phone hardly ever has 4g in Gilroy even though I pay for it and my home mifi hardly works. I even upgraded to a better one and it is slower than old school dial up yet I pay $80 a month for it. What a rip off!!! When my bill is $240 a month I expect much better reception and services than what I have been getting from Verizon. read more

At first I was going to give them a two star because three different people told me three different things. First I was told that because I'm only 18 that to start a plan I would have to put down $400 and I said yea that makes sense because I didn't have any credit so I can see why they would ask for $400 as a back up in case I didn't pay. Then I go in the next day and we work with a different person the next dat and he says so the system is asking for another $400 deposit after I had already paid the first $400. But I was thinking it may be because we had paid after they were supposed to have been closed, so then the Verizon guy said to me see if it changes tomorrow because he had never seen this happen before. This is where I rate it the 4 star review. They had a manager waiting for me and with in the half hour she had my phone plan all set up and I only had to pay one deposit of $400 also they gave me a good deal on an iPhone 6 haha but yea over all they all were just trying to help it's still a good store I would recommend it they all work really well and they work fast read more
