On May 31, 2025, I visited the AT&T store at 117 Walnut Street, Cary, NC, and provided written…read moreinstructions to transfer a personal number, (919-395-4568), to a separate business account. Instead, the agent set up a new iPhone with the business number using a different number and also added a free iPad and Apple Watch to the business account. We have written proof of our instructions. It cost nearly $ 4,000.00 (the cost of moving all lines and equipment to T-Mobile) to release my business number and pay for items I did not request. This was not a mistake but a deliberate act of deception and fraud by this store agent and AT&T Mobility. I am pursuing remedies through the proper regulatory agencies. THIS IS THE WORST WIRELESS COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. If there was a rating below 1, I would use it.

Customer service told me to go to the store. At the store, the manager tried the same steps on my phone, hit the same error, then said he'd get his iPad. He never came back. Instead, another employee appeared, admitted he didn't know the process, and offered only excuses: "new system," "account too big," "call the business liaison." No one could solve a basic problem. The runaround is unbelievable. The incompetence is unacceptable. This is why customers lose trust in AT&T.

No fast-taking "mumbo-jumbo" just a polite, concise explanation and an efficient repair, why is this so rare these days ? Maybe I can't get ALL THE NEGATIVE CAR REPAIR EXPERIENCES erased from my brain, maybe that's it ? A little tricky to find their small but well-organized store, think Chick-fil-A near Super Target, South Square, Durham NC. Their "CPR Red Cross" sign is small, their location is in the inner corner of a small 'mini-mall' next to a Middle Eastern grocery. Once you find it the first time, it's easy to get to. You realize that the repair shops in the BIG MALLS like Southpoint are going to have to charge you more, don't you ? Their 'overhead' is way higher than a modest location like CPR. I'm EMT~Paramedic so I like the name and play on words.

Other places were going to charge over $300 for the job to be done. CPR was able to restore all the files and provide a flashdrive (free of charge) all for under $150. The best part was that it only took half a day from the time I dropped off the hard drive to when I arrived to pick everything up.

I arrived here about 12:50pm on a Sunday afternoon with my brother's girlfriend to upgrade her…read morephone. She's on my account, so I needed to go as well. We were promptly greeted. There were 3 staff persons available and no customers. Andrew S. was the person who assisted us with the upgrade. Initially, Andrew said they didn't have any iPhone 14 Pro Max in stock and it would need to be ordered, which she decided to do. Andrew decided to check the back and they had one available. Andrew also told us that a customer bought a watch and retuned it but never used it. Since my sis got a new phone, there was a $250 off deal for series 8 Apple Watch. It also had a $50 coupon on it. I decided to get it and upgrade my Apple Watch SE. There was a $35 activation fee for both the watch and the phone. Since the devices were still attached to other orders, Andrew had to call Verizon to remove/cancel them. This was what made the visit take FOREVERRRR! It started to get busy as well. At one point, all the agents were with people and there were 3 people waiting. After waiting a bunch of waiting, Andrew told us around 1:40pm that it was giving him a bunch of hassle with him canceling the order that was connected to the device. While I appreciate his attempts and I know that it's out of his control, we did waste like 30+ minutes. Andrew ordered the purple iPhone 14 pro max 128GB online. He said it would be here (in store)in a week. I paid for the activation fee for the Series 8 watch, obtained the watch from Andrew, and then we left. When I got back to my brothers house, I checked my email and saw the order placed but it said it was shipping to my house in 2 days... I hope that's wrong as it's not what we were told, especially as I live 1.5 hours away, but we shall see.

I went in with my father to trade in my phone for a new one; he proceeded to basically harass me and make me feel bad for wanting a new iphone and told me he would "win any battle about phones" when debating me on whether or not I should get a new phone. That is not even the start of the things that went on during this interaction. I am usually very professional and friendly when it comes to talking to employees but I have never felt so humiliated and berated by an employee who is supposed to be selling me their products. Completely in disbelief of the belittling I underwent during my experience. Please hire employees that are kind to every customer, not just ones they choose to be nice to.

I had to go to this store today to pick up a new phone. It was the MOST disappointing customer…read moreservice experience I have ever encountered. As a prior Verizon Business employee everything I learned about customer satisfaction ended there at the Corporate Verizon Store. Our motto used to be " we will do whatever we can to retain good customers", if I had not just purchased a new expensive phone I would have selected to go to a less reputable company. But, the question remains...is Verizon the better Company? No! No they aren't- not after my customer interfacing experience today. The customer service I received on April 24, 2024 around 11:30 a.m. everyone employed there should be Re- TRAINED or let go!!! It matters not that I am of a certain age over 60, and had problems transferring my data from my old phone to the new EXPENSIVE one, the " Verizon employees" were more than rude, not willing to assist and completely shut me out. After sitting there totally lost, I left. Did they even notice this senior was frustrated and left the building? I got in my car and felt completely confused and helpless... Verizon Corporate office in Garner- yall are totally useless, rude, full of pride and have no home training. What goes around comes around. Vengeance is mine saith The Lord. Shame!
