We have been with Verizon for 12 years. I bought my wife a new Verizon phone online and brought it into the store to be activated. They flat out REFUSED to help us. They told us to "Just do it yourself" and acted angry that we bought the phone online instead of buying it directly from them. When I asked them to please just help us...they LIED and told us that her new phone was a 3g phone and would not work on their 4g network. I came home and researched the new phone online. I discovered that it is in fact a 4g phone and is perfectly suitable for Verizon's 4g network. It even has VERIZON in bold letters etched on the front. I managed to activate it myself but ended up destroying her old phone by getting the SIM card jammed deep inside of it. My wife lost ALL of her info, contacts and many important and irreplaceable family photos. This is how they treat customers that have been with them for over a decade? They ought to be ashamed of themselves. We are currently researching other service providers. As soon as we find one that will allow us to keep our 12 year old phone numbers, we are going to sign up with them and tell Verizon where to stick their feeble and pathetic excuse for "customer service". read more

Verizon Phone Service Worst customer service ever. Since October, 2019, they have been billing me for a phone we returned. I refuse to pay for a phone I don't have, especially a phone I sent back to them in the prepaid shipping box they sent me. Now at least once a week Verizon suspends my service. Afterward, I call them and get transferred numerous times and finally someone will act understanding and restore my service and tell me that they placed the contested amount on "hold." These calls usually end with the customer service representative assuring me everything is fine and I only need to pay my normal bill going forward. No such luck. Within a day or two, a Verizon Financial Services debt collector calls threatening to suspend my service if I don't pay for the lost phone. After an hour or more on the phone, the call ends with the same understanding tone and hallow promises. I get it that they may think I did not return the phone. However, given the fact their own representative determined that the phone is defective, how can they charge full retail price for the phone. Had they billed me a couple hundred dollars for the missing phone, I would have probably bit the bullet and simply paid the amount. If you are thinking about Verizon as your phone carrier, I would seriously consider other options. read more

I came to GA to visit my daughter and her family and I decided it was time to upgrade my phone. Now, back home, in California, I had sworn off ever again going to Verizon for the very reason so many of the other reviews are apparently here. However, my daughter and I had the pleasure of working with the knowledgeable, professional, humorous, and kind Zach. He so clearly explained the difference between the iPhone models and NEVER tried to upsell us on anything. Verizon customer service fixed all of the issues that Rachel created for my family and I. Stephen and Rachel have been reported and will hopefully get a lesson or two in customer service...I will know that actually happened and they now know better...if I receive an apology from them for their awful behavior. And I will update everyone here IF that happens. What do I want FORT OGLETHORPE VERIZON STORE to learn from this? Do not lie to your customers or mislead them. Do not raise your voice to you customers. Do not insult your customers by insinuating that they are lying. Do not cut your customers off when they are trying to explain their issue. Do not talk over your customers because you believe what you have to say is more important than what they have to say. Having said that I love my new phone, and the Verizon signal is stronger than Sprint ever was. My advice is to drive a bit further to another store and hope for the best customer service one could ask for...or handle it all online or over the phone..Verizon phone reps have been wonderful..each and every one of them. read more

From Ringgold GA!!! Fort Oglethorpe GA store is the worst! Everytime I've purchased and even when i signed up with verizon 10+ years ago everytime there is a change or a new phone or a new line they activate stuff on my account like switching my protection plan from $15 a line to $45 a month without my permission. I get it saves money but when you have people who drop their phones often they take up all the chances you get. By doing $15 a month per line I get my own drops covered if I do have them without worrying about if there is any chances left to cover through insurance. Most recently I added a 6th line and they switched my insurance again of course but the BOGO deal or $1000 credit they told us about we only got $500 credit and when I called the home office they said go back to the store and hold them over the fire stand your ground.... really? So you want me to go back to the store who caused the issue and waste more of my time! Why I have half a mind to cancel all 6 lines payoff the phones and watches and leave! Don't go to verizon its not worth it! Go somewhere else! Mint is cheaper and probably has better service or just as good! After I wrote this I decided to call back once again and Clint a manager from verizon fixed my issue gave me a $300 credit and fixed the promo of the $1000 bogo deal. So this review will stay 1 star because its about the store but im happy that they fixed the issue. read more

0 stars. Trying to save people from the $$$$ pit. Absolutely horrible customer service. Associates and managers are not helpful. Do not try to set up the phone at home or else you will be making another trip to the store hours later if they are open. They will tell you their Wi-Fi sucks to avoid the labor and time of setting up your phone which is something they charge you for in the contract. You cannot call the store directly period... you will always be directed to the national customer service which is also no help. If you still want to shop here, be sure the store ships your trade in so that you get credit toward your new phone immediately. Please do not same mistake we did. read more

We have been Verizon customers for years. Our cell service at home is continuing to get worse. We have a booster and still drop all calls. We live south of LaFayette, GA . Has something changed?? I have been to a lot of places and this place disappointed me the most.My family and I looked forward to switching but now I'm seriously considering leaving Verizon and taking my family with me. Horrible service and Steven P. treats his customers like trash. When he was "helping" my friend he became very rude and hateful when she kept asking questions about the services that she was inquiring about. She is not very tech savvy and wanted to make sure she was under standing everything correctly. You have 30 days to return your phone if you decide you do not like it or want to try something else. You just get charged a restocking fee. Well she has to have a phone because of her work and they didn't have the kind that she needed. So she had to get a different one. Well she stopped by a different store and was asking questions about some things when she found out that they had the phone she needed and they had a great deal going on. She returned to the Verizon store to return the phone and that is when he became exceedingly rude to her and told the person that he was training just charge her the restocking fee and remove any promotions from her plan. All she did was buy a phone and then return it. That is no way to treat anyone and anytime. I suggest that you take your service to a different store. read more

My husband and myself visited this location Saturday afternoon to have 2 phones switched to a business account. We were greeted at the door and discussed what we were needing done. We were told that this is something they do not do in store and we were given a number to call. Spent a long time on the phone Saturday night with no resolution. Called back sunday morning to try and switch the phones again. We were the told by the Verizon representative on the phone "for future reference any verizon location could help you with this." This is not the 1st issue with have had with this verizon location. We have been yelled at by Verizon employees in this store and told nothing was going to be done. They are not helpful at all and are extremely rude and lazy. read more

Everyone beware of this Verizon. I walked in thinking I was in a good place with good guys around me and I was completely wrong. I went into Verizon about a month ago with an iPhone X that was having some issues but was told by one of the service reps, that everything was okay and he didn't see any issue with the phone. He then tells me all about the $500 promotion they are running to get the new iPhone 11. He tells me I'll have to trade in my phone and get a new number but hey! I'll get the new iPhone 11! He then tries his best to sell me AirPods and helps me back up my phone. He says nothing about the fact that #1. I have a remaining fee of 160 on my iPhone X still #2 I'm getting charged numerous activation fees + prorated fees due to the fact that I'm upgrading and gives me two SIM cards. When in all reality, he changes my plan, adds a line, and doesn't say anything about a remaining balance on anything. He tells me to call in 30 days and cancel my old number. (Never says he's bypassing the fact that I owe on my old phone - says this is covered by the promotion). I asked the sales rep SPECIFICALLY how much more my bill was going to be and he says "a little more" only for the first month. He takes my iPhone X, I pay taxes and fees (all that I thought I was going to have to pay) which comes out to about 200 dollars and I walk out. I call to cancel my old number and am told my bill is $524.00!!!! My bill is normally about 130. I am the only person on my line and have NO idea what they are talking about. I call for over a week and speak with multiple people that work at the location because that particular rep Is "always busy", and they are all unable to tell me why my bill is what is (one girl was able to break down that I owe about 5 different fees that I knew nothing about) and I did remember air pods were charged to my bill so we're looking about 350+ dollars once those are subtracted off of the total. I speak with the sales finally yesterday (after days of trying to get in touch with him and two sent messages trying to reach him with no response) and he lets me know he'll call me back today when he has time, but I received no call. I call to speak with Chris today (the store manager) and after about a 30+ minute phone conversation he offers me to help me with one of the smaller fees which I appreciated however I will be screwed out of a great deal of money because of this. My parents have had Verizon for YEARS without issues and have been informed of plan changes/new fees/etc. (to their knowledge), however after all of these hidden fees and charges .... watch out people. They're doing some dirty business at the Fort Oglethorpe location. I am one person that pays my bill every month on time without issue and was accused that I couldn't afford it from Chris the manager because I was calling about charges I knew NOTHING about. I have never had a service that I pay for honestly with integrity each month screw me over like this. Never. read more

I wasn't impressed. Not very friendly. We had to stop here off the interstate on our way out of town to get help with a phone that had some water damage and the staff was rude. We did end up upgrading and getting a phone that day but I wish we had stopped further down the road to another store.
