It's Verizon stores like this that make me regret stepping foot in them in the first place. My family and I came into this store to inquire about the upgrade options we saw from the Verizon app. Once we were "helped," the rep had a vibe like he did not care to help us further than to just tell him what phone and plan changes we would like to make. Although on the surface, it sounds like exactly what was supposed to happen, we were actually trying to inquire cost differences of our options and our promotions we were seeing online on our account. The rep gave no effort in looking into this for us at all. After expressing our concerns and questions, he suggested that we call the Verizon customer service because they may be able to help us more. After waiting 30 minutes to speak with a rep over the phone, it was clear as day how the phone rep and the store rep approach the way they work and how they treat their customers. The phone rep was WAY more helpful and took her time to listen to us and helped us address every concern we had. On top of that, she even helped us lower our monthly bill by almost HALF! All in all, the vibe at this entire store was very "I don't want to spend extra effort in helping you" and it's not what we want to experience as loyal customers to the company. I do not recommend this store to anyone that is seeking genuine help with their phone service. read more

I am torn about this place. On one hand it can take forever to get assistance. They have very few employees and the place is always busy. The staff is relatively friendly when you do get helped. The employees don't really listen and keep pushing their current benchmark items. I don't appreciate the aggressive tactics. We came in to upgrade two phones and the guy kept trying to have us keep our old lines and get new phone numbers to get a discount. We said no 3 times. We finally all agreed on a plan only to find out the phones we wanted were locked in a safe for 10 minutes because someone locked it out. We left with no phones. read more

This place continues to disappoint me. Five months ago, we were encouraged to switch our personal plan to a business plan because we were promised the price would be the same or even better. However, a month later our bill was nearly double what we had been paying before. Ever since then, we've been trying to fix this issue, but it still remains unresolved. Today we went in again because, surprise, our bill is still too high. Unfortunately, the experience we had today was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, Drake's attitude was unprofessional. Throughout the interaction, he repeatedly ran off to help a coworker who was setting up four lines, leaving us mid conversation several times. Even after they finished, he continued receiving phone calls and repeatedly made a "shh" gesture with his hand toward us while answering them. I have worked in customer service myself, and I would never leave a customer mid conversation to take a phone call, let alone gesture for them to be quiet. At that point there were only two employees in the store and we were the only customers. If phone calls needed to be answered, the other employee could have handled them, or they could have stepped in to assist us so our issue could be properly addressed. When we were finally able to speak with him, Drake often faced away from us and focused on his computer while talking. It felt dismissive and made the interaction even more frustrating. Instead of working to resolve our billing issue, he kept suggesting that we call another department, which made it seem like he was trying to get rid of us rather than actually help. Overall, the experience felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. After months of trying to resolve a billing problem that began because of a promise made by this store, we expected better service and a genuine effort to help fix the situation. read more

I went to this Verizon location because of a Yelp review and they did not disappoint! I went on a busy holiday weekend so there was a wait, but the manager came over often to keep me informed of the wait time and where I was in the queue. I came to this Verizon store to downgrade my existing phone plan after being stuck in customer support queues for hours with no help. The staff told me they cannot downgrade plans in-store, but they can upgrade them. They dismissed me and told me to go back to the same customer support line that had already failed to assist me. This makes no sense. If a store can modify my plan to charge me more but claims they are unable to modify it to charge me less, that's not customer service. That's a broken and predatory process. I left with zero resolution and no willingness from the staff to help. I would not come back to this location, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time here either. read more

This store treated me so shabbily that I went to T-Mobile. I was purchasing 2 watches and two of the latest folds so we are talking about a $4,000 sale approximately. Well, it turns out on a previous call, someone set the Verification phone number not to my phone, not to my watch even but to my tablet! So I go in with my physically handicapped mother on her walker and wait 20-30 minutes. They deal with fixing a watch and then said we needed to go back and start in line for the phone! Well, they screwed up so it had to co to the Verizon corporate customer service. Once that happened they would no longer help me in store, even for minor tasks. All in all, it has taken me over 30 HOURS to setup my 4 devices. They are not knowledgeable and make mistakes that take full days of customer time to sort out. Do they try to make good? I don't post many reviews, but I'm a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due! Walked in to this Verizon outlet and had questions regarding my current 12 Pro Max vs. the new 16 Pro Max. I was greeted by Marissa, the store manager, and I must say there is a reason why she's in that position. Her personality, patience and suggestions was so incredible that I literally left there with an Apple Watch 10 cellular + gps, a Verizon home internet unit, and ordered the 16 Pro Max! Keep in mind I had zero intention of purchasing anything...all I wanted to do was to get my charging port cleaned on my 12 Pro Max! *Kudos also go out to Josie, an associate who assisted me in my purchases while Marissa was tending to incoming guests. Josie was a mirror image of Marissa...needless to say I left a happy customer of Verizon for 17 years, and the 17th year was the best after being served by Marissa & Josie. I had a bad experience at this Verizon (Laguna Blvd/Elk Grove location). I walked in and asked to receive service for my business account. I was asked by a rep "you want to open a business account?" with lots of attitude and a confused look on his face. I am an 18 y/o business owner and so I'm guessing this was a case of age discrimination, but no matter what it's not acceptable. They were super adamant about seeing my ID and didn't believe me at first when I told them I have a business account. I will be receiving service at the Delta Shores location where I've had a much better and personal experience. I chose two stars instead of one because I ultimately ended up getting done what needed to be done, even though the rep wasn't treating me with respect. Today we decided to try different location and woman along with a few others not only gave us their time and attention but made a genuine effort to help us. Join me on a trip to crazy town. A place where errors are made left and right (unapologetically) by the staff but there is no accountability or repercussion. A place where the manager (David) backs the bus over his staff several times while not being able to control anything (his words) and only "manages walk ins" (his words). This is a corporate store... Been with Verizon 20 years. Trading in two phones ($1k per promotion). Porting from T-Mobile (spouse used to work there). Easy right? No. Wrong...so very wrong. Day 1. There for two hours (with our 6 month old). Sales rep confirms our address several times...each time wrong. Continually uses our old address. 5 times in total he confirms...we correct. We tell him we will transfer our own data...proceeds to charge a data transfer fee. Shows us the iPad (address) at the end; it's wrong (5th time). We correct him. We got one phone in store and the other was being mailed. What could go wrong? Phone went to wrong address. We cancel and reorder with customer service. Cancels our trade in. We have to go in store. Day 2. Explain to the rep the situation. Calls customer service...can't get the trade credit now. We ask for a manager. Mr David (said manager) doesn't come over but speaks to the rep through an ear bud. The whole store is 30 feet...and they're currently 7 feet apart. I ask if I should go to him or if he will come to us. I explain the issue. No apology. No solution. David asks...which sales rep. That shouldn't matter but I nudge in his direction. David asks if we took the iPad to make the correction ourselves (on address). Nope. David leaves...no solution. 2.5 hours in store...new phone not activated no trade credit. We are told to come back...we ask for store/district manager contact (with no intent of contacting since they said just come back in a few days and drop off trade ins). Day 3. There are no notes in system of trade ins. 1.5 hours more. We call Marissa (store manager, guess David is assistant). No answer. We ask David to call on his phone. No answer. In her defense it's a sat and she is probably with family. While calling we see a slack message (on David's cell) from Ruben Hernandez (district manager). We ask David if he can simply message him. Of course not. It's at this point David tells us he can't control anything and his only job is to manage walk ins. Cool. Nice rep gets one phone trade in credit done. The other will take two business days...so we need to come back. Makes sense. Have left message for Ms Marissa. Have emailed Mr Ruben. Will be back in store (4th trip) next week due to a comedy of errors with no follow through and no apology. Fingers crossed. Called customer service. Was offered $35 credit. lol Verizon coverage is great. If you're not with em you should switch. Save yourself hours of your life and don't go to this location though. read more

My SIM card became faulty so I came in to get it changed. The wait was a bit long, but store manager Reuben made the wait worth it! He was super friendly and got the problem fixed right away. Excellent customer service. My only complaint is that when we sat down, customer representative Joel was engaged in a conversation with a customer. She seemed confused, but he kept patronizing her with questions and eventually said derisively "As much as I love this conversation, I have other customers waiting." This place was highly unsatisfactory. We had dealt with Gina, and she was super racist towards my cousin. We were flabbergasted at the way she treated us. Clearly management is an issue if they can't assure to hire employees who knows customer service, then they are clearly not doing their job efficiently. I have been a customer for Verizon for a while now and I never had any issues at any other branch except for this one. Verizon, please take actions towards your employee, we are in era where everyone is treated equally and customer service is practiced with respect. I was here for two hours today because my old phone was terrible and wouldn't transfer data over to the new. Because I was there for so long I think I interacted with everyone working at the store. What an amazing group of people! All of them were kind, professional, and did their best to eventually coax my phone to work long enough to set up the new one. Tim is the most grossly negligent guy working at this location. He'd made two major blunders in as many visits. Sadly, he may be the only staff available during some hours. He's tan, slender, brunet, with a prominent nose. He's the employee with the apathetic smugness of a coffee shop barista combined with the oily, underhanded manner of a used car salesman. If you have the great misfortune of having him "assist" you, be ready to find yourself very inconvenienced and/or angered. Go another day, demand another associate. This guy, in two transactions in less than a month, had made as many major mistakes. It's to be expected. In December 2015, my father and brother went in to upgrade an iPhone. As part of the package, there is usually a device on offer. Despite being aware there were two options that month, (the Fitbit HR and a Bose speaker) Tim offered the Bose speaker as their only option. Next transaction, a couple weeks later in Jan 2016, when upgrading another phone (mine), he only offered the 16 gig and 64 gig and didn't offer the 128 gig for my iPhone options. Which we found odd. It definitely seemed available not weeks back, when my brother inquired. He might've recalled my father opted out of the 128 a and stayed mum. He told us he clearly remembered he was the one who helped my father and brother that day. He has good memory recall, at least. He could've assumed we didn't look like the type who wanted that much storage. Or, as we called later to inquire, they simply didn't have it in stock due to low demand. It would cost us about $35 to do a stocking order if we decided we wanted one. Either way, it would have been good to know 128 was available as an option. I suppose they want the customer to bring up options aggressively, like one would while shopping for a car in the 90s. I decided to roll with the options he presented us. When looking at the complimentary device this month, I found out it was the non-HR Fitbit, and that the HR was the option he had left out when dealing with us recently. He gave a monotone "my bad" and "I apologize" without any offer of recompense. So I insisted he right his wrong. He offered to do an exchange, since the Fitbit HR is what they had wanted, had they been made aware it was even an option. Unfortunately, the speaker had already been opened, and couldn't be exchanged. I told him he still had to remedy his wrongs. Tim then flatly offered $100 off on the iPhone. We accepted. My father was sized for the Fitbit Charge, and ordered a large in black. A few days later, a Fitbit arrives, but it's the wrong size. There are ONLY 2 sizes to choose from. How did Tim manage to make a mistake again? At this point, it's become aggravating. Not sure if he's being spiteful at this point. Adding insult to injury, Tim says that it'll be shipped to our house, conveniently forgetting to mention WE would be charged $6.99 for it. 2 Day, via FedEx. He didn't give a us a choice, and left out pertinent details. Again. We didn't realize he had charged us until we received the invoice. It wasn't even worth paying that hidden fee, given he SHIPPED US THE WRONG SIZE, forcing us to do the return/exchange song and dance. My father goes back to this abysmal Verizon shop yet again to return the thing and get the correct size. He's met with more frustration. Instead of offering to give him a NEW one in his size, which was what they said wasn't available a couple days ago, they simply hand him the one that's been on display. Probably to avoid being liable for another order mishap. A demeaning final gesture, to say the least. We've been nothing but amiable, polite, and patient customers all these years. We didn't do anything to warrant this treatment. I'm surprised this Tim guy is still employed, given his track record with our family alone. This Verizon isn't reputed to have decent customer service, but these past few visits take it to an entirely new low. read more

Run, don't walk from this Verizon store! Circa July 2024 MARLON W. posted a YELP review about his experience at Verizon, located at 1740 Arden Way, Sacramento. (MARCOS had botched his set up and followup conduct by other store staff worsened his experience.) MARCOS also botched the set up of one (of two) phones we purchased in Sept 2024. (In Nov 2024, after numerous attempts to resolve the erratic performance of this phone, a software specialist determined that an EXTRA, AND UNACTIVATED, eSIM card had been installed.) In addition to the botched set up, MARCOS sold us iPhone 16s instead of the 15s HE SAID WERE AVAILABLE AND KNEW WE WANTED. Why did I not catch this switch in the store? Before leaving, I signed a signature device without having first received a HARD COPY of our contract for review. WE HAD BEEN PLAYED and our old iPhones surrendered. MARCOS was followed by a dose of CONFRONTATIONAL, BOORISH, and VICIOUS behavior dished out by the store's manager, MIGUEL (aka MIKEY) when, in Nov 2024, we returned to the store to request $450 reimbursement for the cost of the software specialist. (VICIOUS? Yes! When my senior citizen husband attempted to get off one of the store's low benches, he fell backwards and hit his back on the wall behind him. MIKEY stood by and watched this incident WITHOUT DEMONSTRATING AN IOTA OF DECENCY.) (Verizon has this incident recorded by a security camera, no doubt.) To continue, MIKEY refused to review my detailed documentation of the efforts I made to resolve what MARCOS had caused. Instead, MIKEY stood some distance away as he demanded to know why we had not first visited the store before employing a software specialist? I told him to check their records (MARCOS had ignored my appt. request). After checking, MIKEY changed his tune, but not by much or for long. After again retreating to his office MIKEY returned to engage in $ negotiations. He told us (1) the store would post a $50 credit to our account and (2) our negotiated $250 credit (down from $450 cost) HAD BEEN APPROVED; however, MIKEY refused to provide documentation of the approval when asked to do so. Nevertheless we left, disturbed by MIKEY's conduct but somewhat consoled by the $50 + $250 approved credit. The store credit of $50 appeared on our account the next day but the $250 "approved" credit by Version failed to appear. I smelled a rat and, after four days, called 611. In fact, the $250 HAD NOT BEEN APPROVED. In Jan 2025, I again called Verizon to verify the exact date of disapproval. THE $250 CREDIT HAD BEEN DECLINED ON THE DAY WE WERE AT THE STORE - Nov 15, 2024. To be clear, MIKEY HAD LIED ABOUT THE APPROVAL. I also asked Verizon why our account did not show a credit for the iPhones we surrendered 3 1/2 months earlier? Their response - THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE DOCUMENTS (FROM MARCOS?) NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE $400.32 TRADE-IN CREDIT AND FINALIZE OUR CONTRACT. Seriously? Manager MIGUEL (aka MIKEY) SHOULD BE FIRED FOR CONDUCT UNBECOMING (not all of which is mentioned in this post). And, a regulatory agency should investigate what I believe to be BAIT-AND-SWITCH tactics engaged in by MARCOS, an illegal business practice in the State of California. read more

I've been struggling with wanting to stay on with Verizon. The customer service and lack of customer retention efforts is the absolute WORST!!! I worked with someone today who was great on the phone. But when I went to go pick up in store I found that both phones weren't available for pickup. I asked if there was something we could do as I leave to head out of town tomorrow and can't have the phone shipped. The sales associate was trying to help me and look things up. The manager I think his name was David not even a foot away and looked at the sales associate instead of addressing me and said "we can't help. She has to call and take care of that on her own. There's other people that need to be helped in here." I'm sorry because I'm not a customer asking for help? I was feeling confused and frustrated and the manager who could've helped the customers himself instead of standing there leaning on the stands could've helped the customers he was speaking of. Has he just addressed me and handled that in a better manner I wouldn't be writing this. I've been in this store 2 times before this and this is just the worst place to go to for any service. I highly suggest you bring someone in to train the management and employees so they're more professional and understand how to address and speak to customers. I started my line here 7 years ago at 18. Unfortunately the service has only gotten worse over the years. I went in to add a line to my account and they couldn't even help me do that. There are various ways to verify I'm the account owner (I am the only one on the account as well) and they didn't try to do a single thing to help. We bought our iPhone 14 s ( two of them) and screen protectors chargers etc through this store. My screen protector cracked ( no biggie). I also have been having issues with my phone today. I normally don't go to this verizon but I had an emergency and needed a phone replaced. I've been with Verizon for 8 years and have never had an issue with customer service. I walked in and the rep was very dry and borderline rude. His name is Joel. I asked about my bill because I traded my phones in back in Oct 2020 and have not received credit for my devices. He looks at me says "well I don't know if you look at your bill but it should say there." Why wouldn't I look at my bill that's the whole reason why I'm asking! My first phone was through Verizon. Over the years, the plans have changed. Anyways, my husband and I decided to move to sprint for cheaper family package. Here's our mistake, although sprint provided us great family unlimited package their service within our neighborhood were not supported. Unfortunately, we had to quit sprint service and return to Verizon. They have good coverage but the phone prices are expensive (which is all the stores) We came to the store and upgraded my husband's phone to S8 but I kept my iPhone 6 (I'll upgrade when the iPhone 10 comes out). The customer service was okay here. Prior to changing the plans, my husband had came to the store to inquire about switching the carrier. I wish the sale representative had informed him at that point that whenever you decide to come, bring all these information for smooth transition. We were unaware so that took as longer than anticipated on the actual day of change. Unlike sprint, they don't have employee discounts. I was unhappy about that. Went to this location to switch our service from Metro to Verizon (upgrade our LGs for a couple of Samsungs and a Motorola). This location is still requiring masks. Verizon website says, "Masks may be required. Verizon follows CDC guidelines and legal requirements." CDC gave the all clear a couple of weeks ago. Even Gov. Nuisance reluctantly lifted the restrictions yesterday (probably hoping it will help save him from recall).
