Dropped off my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller in January for repair. For months I got weekly (then…read morebi-weekly, then monthly) calls saying they still hadn't started on it and asking if I wanted to pick it up. I own multiple controllers and wasn't in a rush, so I left it. Calls eventually stopped. At the 6-month mark I went in. They told me they had thrown it away "because it had been so long." An employee then offered a different controller and tried to charge me $20 "for the part." When I pointed out they never worked on mine, the story changed to "we have to replace it since we threw yours out." After I asked to speak to a manager, she suddenly said she could just give it to me. I left with a basic controller. The one I dropped off came with its full case. This place lost my property, never repaired it, tried to charge me for their mistake, and returned an incomplete replacement. Extremely poorly run.

The person that came to install stated I needed a different connection for the Gas range, and he didn't have it with him. I am not sure why if they specialize in delivery and installation. I stated to him; okay I can go buy it since I am 5 minutes away from Lowes while you install the refrigerator or you can come back to install once I have purchased that other adaptor or connector for the GAS. He then stated no it's okay I can make this one work but keep this one in case you need to call someone. If he was completing the installation, why would I need to call someone? He then stated he made it work and everything was working just fine according to him. Well about 2 hours later my elderly mother entered the kitchen and the whole kitchen and living room smelled of GAS. He knew he didn't connect the gas correctly and didn't have the right hardware or connector, and how can a person do that. He could have killed my family and myself. THIS IS A GAS DANGER not just some little issue. He could have blown up my home. and the worse thing is he knew and didn't care to put my family in danger. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! AGAIN HE COULD HAVE KILLED MY FAMILY!!

I wanted to write about my amazing experience at this location especially since I'm a visitor for…read morethe holidays from California. Let me set the scene...I originally drove all the way out to this location for Costco on Black Friday since it turns out to be the ONLY Costco in El Paso. I was going to get my son the Xbox 360 they advertised online at an awesome price. Did the whole 9 yards got up early which is considered late for BF shopping waited for 2.5 hours only to find out they don't sell it in store. Only online and it was already sold out! Decided to take my chances and walk in the mall to look for a GameStop...thought there's no chance in hell they will have the bundle pack console my son wants, and if they do it will probably be a LOT more or so packed I'll just turn around and head back to the families home. I was wrong. It wasn't so busy I'm assuming because I missed the mad rush...it was 910 at this point. Walked in and greeted by the people who worked there. A friendly manager asked if he could help and I definitely did. I asked him about the Xbox and he asked if it was the one in the ad. Told him my situation and I'm not sure. To my surprise they had pretty much the same deal as Costco! Which was $50 less then everywhere else. Target, Walmart, Best Buy! And I didn't have to be there at 4am to get it. They had 1 more left and I bought it. But let me tell you the real reason I even bothered to write this review. Jonathan, he was the most kindest, patient, friendly person I had ever encountered in retail and especially on Black Friday! There was a lot of questions he asked me just to be sure he had qualified me and made sure I had everything I needed for my sons new game system. I had to call the bf to see if I needed these extra things or not and he was just so patient and told me no rush and he didn't seem irritated or anything that it took me a little to gather the info I needed for my purchase. So thank you Jonathan! I will be sure to call your corporate office just so they know how valuable you are because I know I really appreciated your help!

Obviously the store is new and shiny right now, so that doesn't make it a "Plus," all the "Plus" I could tell was that they had a counter with a couple of tablets you could try out, but nothing really out of the ordinary, GS has been selling tablets and other electronics for a while. I think the UTEP GameStop is bigger, more "Plus." Still, not a bad location, there are much tinier more cramped ones out there.

I changed the battery for a new one and same issue with the test beep, hardly audible. The manufacture date on the back says June 2009. The customer service rep said that this model only has a 3 year warranty and that they could do nothing for me. I guess this has lasted me 8 years so it was a worthwhile investment, but I wish I didn't have to buy another one. The person on the phone was very friendly and apologetic. I will probably buy my next smoke detector from them if it is cheap like this one was. I can't imagine buying a high end smoke detector and expecting much more out of it.
