Visit was simple. Curious about a letter I received my VZW about my discount decreasing from my employer. There were a bunch of plans and numbers in there, so I wanted to have them really look at it because I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting jerked around. He read the letter quickly and gave me an explanation. Told me it would be better to call VZW customer service directly. This store wasn't busy, but very large and probably gets very busy at times. I would return here, though it isn't close to home and there is a closer VZW Corporate store to work. Recommend going here, staff seemed pleasant and laid back. Might be different in a sales situation, but I did not visit for that purpose. read more

Required to pick up an internet order (not sure why they couldn't ship, my significant other was shipped directly to our home), associate said I had a pending order and just told me flat out to call the 800 number. I have been having issues with my Verizon account since 2023. Today, I was in the phone and chat back and forth for 3 hours. When I came to the store there was a little wait, but Robert came and helped me when no one else on the phone was able to. He found an error that the phone assistant made and fixed my account with friendliness and well executed knowledge. Not a huge fan of Verizon now, but Robert is amazing. read more

Awful experience. I've been going to this location for years and never had a problem until I had to get a new phone. I came in and was helped but saw the new phone they gave me had a crack in it so I went back. The employees ignored me including the manager. I was waiting for almost two hours until someone finally came around to help me. All they had to do was grab a new phone in the back and process the exchange. I like the company but I think the staff there is not friendly enough in my opinion . I went there two days in a row went up the guy at the front and as soon as he saw us without acknowledging that we are standing there went on his phone and went to the back. The previous day he was helping a friend of mine and acknowledged a couple that was waiting so I'm not sure there. I feel like one of the lucky ones, especially after seeing some of the other reviews. My visit was nothing short of good. I had called early to see if they had the item I was looking for. The gentleman I talked to on the phone, Wayne, was nice enough to check there stock that just got delivered to see if what I was looking for was within the boxes. Lucky for me it was. When I arrived at the store, I was introduced to Milaidy (I hope I spelled her name right, if not I apologize) and she was everything and then some!!! She was excellent! She walked me thru step by step of setting up my watch and making sure it was everything I wanted and was even patient enough to walk me thru each of the settings while establishing rapport during the set up process. If everyone could be like her, then the visit to VZW would never be painful. read more

Ok so I went in here a few months back since my iPhone 4 was acting up. I was long overdue for an upgrade so I reluctantly got an iPhone 6, knowing that they'd make me change my unlimited data plan. I don't know about other carriers but Verizon got sort of sneaky like that. The sales staff was much better and not quite as high pressure than my previous visit. Also they got rid of the fios guy who annoyed the crap out of me during my prior visit and I knew what I wanted so that helped too. I stood firm to my need. At any rate, there were two issues I noticed. 1. when did they start charging you $40 to upgrade, I think I got some information about that long ago, but I still think that's pretty crappy, and 2. I got this month's bill and saw it was $5 higher than previous months, after closer inspection they added on some navigation service I never asked for nor did they mention to me at the store, that was $4.99. I think that's totally uncool. I did call customer service after I removed the service from my phone online, so they gave me a credit for the charge, considering I never asked for it nor was I told about it when upgrading my phone. Went here today to get my wife a new phone. I explained that whatever happened they cannot turn my wife's current phone off because she was using it for navigation and for business that day. Long story short they turned her phone off which resulted in her unable to do her job which resulted with her in the lobby of the store with me yelling and screaming at the staff because of their gross incompetence. This was an extreme amount of frustration for the store staff and my wife.. Because they were unable to follow simple directions they had my wife in the lobby of their store crying and having a panic attack because she was unable to make it to her meeting or call her customer or do her job. At first, liked the simplicity of the service; then the rate was raised after 3 months; then when it was time to disconnect, keep receiving the bills; try calling each of several numbers they have for customer service: either get transferred or get "disconnected". Tried the online chat option- wasted time, because even though they get full access to your account, the reps in chats are not knowledgeable enough to answer just one simple question- "the dates of service for the bill"; in the end, after being on hold or disconnected for another 2 hours, no one could clarify why I'm billed even though the service was disconnected 2 months ago. Some of the Wireless Customer reps that were kind enough to transfer went through lengths for me, but in the end the right person (that couldn't speak English well) wasn't helpful either. Sadly, I'll just pay the bill that's supposedly outstanding and see if I have to continue this battle, if I receive another one going forward. Ironically, I've been thinking about switching my wireless provider lately (ATT), this will be a good reminder not to consider Verizon. I wish I knew to stay away from Fios, but at that time thought I'd give the benefit of the doubt, even after reading same type of reviews on their help chats page. My bad. P.S. Was greeted as I entered, Todd was helping me within 2 minutes with a problem I have spent three days trying to get help with through Verizon "customer service". If you want a phone go there and buy it. If you have to return the phone go there and you will be fully assisted in less than 5 minutes. Accept no substitutes. I seen the low stars and was wary, but I was greeted by Ray when I walked in, I told him what I was looking at, he told me the difference and I checked them all out. You will get to experience first-hand every sales-trick in the book by truly professional high-pressure salesmen. These guys are worse than car salesmen. The good news is, you won't have to wait in line. The salesmen swirl around the store like hungry sharks. I walked in the door, was immediately greeted by one guy who had me sign in and asked me to hang on a moment while he checked my account status to see if we were eligible for upgrading our phones. No sooner did he walk away then another salesman swept in, greeted us, and asked if HE could help us. [Tweeeeet! Flag on the play! Stealing customers from fellow employees and unnecessary roughing of the customer!] Gee, do these guys work on commission??? For example: LOW-BALLING. "Why yes, Kevin, you are eligible for an upgrade. Hey, we have a buy-one-get-one-free deal going on right now, and your wife is eligible for an early upgrade." Oh, okay, cool. (SET!) So we pick out TWO new phones. Only when we get to the cash register, "Oh, there is a fee of $20 for your wife's early upgrade." DOH, you got me. (SPIKE!) After we went through all that trouble looking at the phones and picking out a new phone for my wife, we weren't going to turn around and put it back because of a $20 fee. We were getting her new phone for FREE after all, right? (You see, I've been assimilated by their borg mind and I'm spewing their own ideology now.) Don't get me wrong, I like my Verizon service. I went in to pic up a new phone as directed by Verizon corporate, and left with it 5 hours later, and guess what? I got my phone bill and these LIARS told me the phone was free now I'm stuck with a phone that has a cracked screen and I have to pay 700.00 dollars for. They refuse to explain,Verizon corporate tells me it's just "LIKE FREE"! how is it free if I'm paying for it!!?? No answer. This is the worst case of retail sales I have ever experienced. I was a bit concerned when I first read the reviews on Yelp and wasn't sure whether we should go to this center, however as we had to go to Alpine Ski shop afterwards we decided on giving it a try and .... we had the most wonderful service. It was efficient and professional. We were in and out in 30 min. Ray (our service tech) was extremely patient in answering and resolving all our requests. I upgraded to the Samsung galaxy few years ago and was lured in by the upgrade to the new galaxy phone every year after paying half of the phone off or 12 payments of the 24 and get the newest phone every year. Had issues getting them to fulfill what they said every time and this time they say it's just not possible without paying it off fully. I wish they would tell you the truth and not say anything to get a new customer. Spent hours of my time trying to get what was promised by Verizon and end up disappointed more often than not. I went in for glass protector for my iPhone 6P. Garlato (spelling?!) did an awesome jobs assisting me! He even removed the screen protector for me and applied a new one. When I inquired about the new Beats headphones on display he and the General Manager, Mike answered all my questions and I decided to get it! Ahh, after the real shit of a time I had at the My Cell in Md (see my My Cell VZW reseller review), this place was an oasis. There are a zillion places to get Verizon Wireless (VZW) stuff: online, VZW retail stores, VZW resellers, call center...hell, you can probably get a phone delivered via Carrier Pigeon if you tried hard enough. Therefore there is never any reason to have to WAIT at a VZW store. This means avoid the ones in the malls. Like McDonalds and Starbucks, there seems to be a VZW store on every corner. Look for the ones hidden away, like this place. Store is big. Have several displays of phones, separated by fair amounts of space, so folks are tripping over each other. It's a new store in a new strip center (near Wegmans Dulles), so not that many people know about it yet. Phones are phones. Cell plans are cell plans. There isn't much you can do about the cost, other than to watch for sales on phones, and trim your plan down to only what you use/need. I've managed to get 3 phones (family plan) on the 700 min plan, no txt, no data, none of that other shit, and keep the cell bill to about $90/mo for 3 people. While I didn't find a whole lot of use for the sales person, the lady (Mary) that helped us with the checkout and paperwork was very personable, and knew how to apply a credit from one line to another. Seems simple, yet I've run into folks who can't seem to get it right. I hope not to have to go back for a while -- accessories for phones can be had MUCH cheaper just about anywhere that ISN'T a VZW store. But, when I do have to go back, I'll be heading to this place, and continuing to avoid the VZW stores at the mall, and malls in general. read more

On Friday, June 6, 2014, I had a great experience in this store for the 1st time since it opened. I want to thank Cheryl Assad and Reggie Roark for all of their help and support..I had just been in there 2 weeks earlier and was told I was not eligible for an upgrade. I left and was ready to switch to AT&T but it would have cost $170 to break my contract . I have been with Verizon since 1997. anyway after talking to customer service on the phone, they found a way to get me the upgrade . A note was put on my acct so I went back on June 6th Reggie and Cheryl helped me and I was able to get into the Galaxy S5 which was better than I had expected. I had been having problems with my Samsung Galaxy S4. In less than 1 year I had to have it replaced 3 times because of the problems it was having. I was beyond pissed off when my 3rd S4 started having problems again. I paid money for this POS, and Verizon's customer service reps (although friendly, generally unhelpful) told me they couldn't let me switch to a new phone unless I replaced my S4 6 times. That means transferring all of my contacts, pictures, etc 6 times. Reloading all of my apps, setting up all of my accounts, 6 TIMES! So I went into this store not expecting much, I was so peeved that I was going to have to spend more money on a new phone when I had only had mine for a year. Well I was surprised. The store manager helped me out. She contacted corporate and was able to help me get an iPhone 6. She then set my family plan up with a deal they were running that would save us a bit of money, but give us extra data and unlimited minutes. I also got their bundle with a case, screen protector, car charger, and Bluetooth headset. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because despite the fact that there were multiple employees on the floor not doing anything, it took about 20 minutes for someone to talk to me. read more

The employees of this store seemed to be eager to tell me reasons they couldn't help me fix my iPhoneX despite having Verizon care coverage. It's one thing to not be able to help, its another thing and a very obvious one when you don't want to and don't respect the customers time and frustration trying to resolve issues with your product. Poor customer service. First customer facing employee should be able to resolve all customer issues. This is rarely the case as the customer is transferred, put on hold, told to call back or otherwise is unable to reach a resolution. Automated phone message indicates using the website for quicker service. Website loops back to a prior screen when trying to accomplish small tasks or otherwise is bogged down and has to be exited and reloaded. Simple tasks made challenging for these reasons.. read more

The store was severely understaffed. 3 technicians, and only 3 customers. Yet still had to wait. I had gone in to buy a new phone, but was completely ignored while 2 technicians helped 1 group. When a store is so devoid of employees that customers willing to spend $1000 walk out - the company has problems. Needless to say, when I do go buy a new phone it will not be at this store. Never encountered a rude employee and i haven't dealt with anyone trying to be pushy when it comes to selling me new things because when i walk in i know exactly what i want and tell whomever is helping me exactly what i want and i'm not interested in other things. I have the same comments as Kevin S. I have been with Verizon for 11 years and been to a gazillion stores and this one has the worst high-pressure sales I have yet to encounter. I have been there 2x and purchased 2 phones. The first time I was told the car charger was free and that the cost was much less than it was when I received my bill. I was told my total bill would be $30 more than it is now if I added a line and it will be, in fact, $60 more. But then they got you with the 2 year agreement so you can argue all you want but it's a no go. Oh PLUS a $25 activation fee I was unaware of. They did take the car charger back and credit my account. I would not trust the salespeople here further than I can throw a tissue. Try a different store. read more

By far the worst experience here. We went in to trade up to a new iPhone. After waiting 15 minutes, which was not bad, someone came to help us. Then we waited 10 more minutes for him to check to see if the phone was in stock. But then the guy started helping 2 other people while we waited. We watched him help people for 15 minutes and then decided if he didn't have time for us we didn't have time to waste and walked out. They never called to follow up. I ended up getting he phone online which was easier anyway. I use Verizon for the network service. The people in the stores act like they're just hanging out and are not focused on customers. read more

Had a great experience here. I was transferring from another carrier since I had just moved and I don't have service with my old carrier at my new house. The actual transferring process took several days because I have two Iphones (two separate lines), and it took me three phone calls to my old carrier before someone finally explained to me that the unlocking of an Iphone on their end takes 72 hours. Everything on Verizon's end was super simple. I called up the store, spoke with Ray, went in the next day, and did the little bit of paperwork needed. Because I was still in the unlocking of my cell phone phase, Ray actually switched over our phones a couple days later - when they were finally unlocked and my phones would read their new SIM cards - on his day off. This store is the worst store to get your phone or upgrades. There "3rd party sellers" so basically sharks out for ur money. They charged me $40 to transfer data...which is FREEE anywhere else. They also didnt notify me of the charge until after the guy did it. I called the version service and they were shocked we got charged for that service. We got charged $30 for an upgrade fee which is understandable but an additional $40 for the transfer anyone could of done. When we went back to the store, a man who assisted us was very rude and acted bothered by our presence. He didn't want to deal with us and just told us to call a number. And when we asked for the manager he said he didn't know and the manager wasn't there. USELESS! Never going there ever again. read more

Watch out for these shysters. Be very careful when you walk out with anything. I was charged $13 per line for mobile protection, never explained. I was quoted a new monthly fee without the new phone included, even after asking many times "what is my monthly charges?" not what is my new plan going to cost. My husband and I went in today to upgrade our phones, we had the best experience we have ever had at a Verizon location! We were helped by William and he was awesome!! He took care of our upgrades, listened to what we wanted and needed, he looked over our plan and ended up saving us money and adding more data. He helped us set up our new phones, answered our questions, and pick out the best accessories to fit our needs. I am giving 5 stars based on William's customer service alone!! I spent nearly two hours in the store yesterday trying to get a difficult situation resolved with my account and upgrade status. The store manager, Son, was very helpful and patient with the constant back and forth with customer service as he worked to help me out. In the end I was able to get my situation fixed and walked out with a new phone, which would not have happened if Son hadn't stuck with it. Great customer service at this location! read more

I had a meeting at 11:30am and it was only 10:45am. I assumed 45 minutes would be enough time to swap out my phone for a new one. The store was empty so I was next in line as soon as I walked in. It talk about 10 minutes for a rep to talk to me. Not a big deal since I still had time. As soon as the rep came over I told her exactly which phone I wanted. That begin the up-sell and the sale of additional items. I simply declined and said I was in a rush and I only need the phone. The long and short of it was that I had to push my meeting back to 1:00pm because I did not get out of there until close to 11:55am. The amazing part was that there was a couple that walked in just behind me. They were listed as next on the board right after me. when I left at 11:55 they were still next. They also wanted to swap out their phones. the rep said to them that once her was done with me, it would only take about 10 minutes. At least I got a chuckle out of that. read more

I seriously had THE BEST experience at this store. Fariba helped me. I was extremely frustrated with my phone breaking the day after I was there for my husbands phone. Who wants to spend two days in a row in the store!? I was frustrated and quite frankly, emotional. Fariba was able to get the impossible approved! She got me an in-store swap, which in all my years, I have never seen. I have always had to wait for a new phone. As a mom of 2 kids under 4, I was worried about being without a phone. GREAT JOB FARIBA and team!!!! We were considering switching to Sprint, but it is customer service like this that keeps us with you. read more
