This place is extremely inconsistent. one month someone can help with a bill and the next month that's not allowed and the person from the past shouldn't have done what they did. Be careful of promotions they are not fully transparent and at times directly lie. For example, if you get an ipad or a phone you cannot just pay it off ahead of time, you have also committed to a certain length of time you will pay for the service plan. Say you have a promo ipad, and pay it off and decide surprise you dont use any data and just use it on wifi like most of people - oh well you still have to pay for a certain number of months well after the payment plan ended, for access. Any discounts given like loyalty have 'expiration' dates and if you dont magically know when it expires and call to keep it going, it simply stops being on your account. There is nothing about them that is "independent" and they are not honest. Its unfortunate as I have had some positive service there as well but the underlying practices are unethical. Its a part time job to hold them accountable. The prime reason I would be willing to deal with their trickster fees was the customer service and customer service has degraded significantly. Expectations are reliable cell service and the same bill every month - why is something so simple so incredibly hard for verizon to achieve? Shady shadertons. read more

Just got my monthly bill! He was charging us 90.00 month for service for each phone. Called Verizon and they changed it to 55.00 month for each line. we only use the phones for calls and texts. Again why charge us for a plus service when we said we don't need any extras. Again...probably hoping we wouldn't notice. The manager said all prices are in your quote. We didn't get any quote, we got a bill of sale, that was it. They Will milk you for every penny, don't go there! read more

I wanted to say that the day I went into the Dover location to get a new phone, I was dreading what I thought was going to be a long drawn out 2 hours visit. But then.... there was my salesman Rishav, that introduced himself to me and asked what he could help me with. Let me tell you... hands down , the nicest, informational, helpful and professional person . It was easy to understand everything as he went over things with me. By the end of my dealings with Rishav , not only was I happy about my new phone , we had chatted for a few minutes about just a few things that we were doing this summer. This store is horrible! We went here two months ago because my wife needed a new phone. My phone was paid off and i didn't want to buy a new one. The salesman asked me if i liked my current phone, a Samsung Galaxy note 9, and i said at first i didn't but i had grown to like it, but i usually like droids. He showed me the Motorola edge plus. He told me how great the phone was and Motorola would pay off my wife's watch if i upgraded. I asked my wife what she thought and she said to do it, so i did. BIG MISTAKE!! The Motorola edge plus is crap. I've had to go back to the store, as of this weekend, 6 times because it's was getting terrible service and wouldn't connect to it's own internet, it only worked when it could connect to someone's wifi. Everytime i went in a different person changed something on the phone that was supposed to fix it. Nothing worked. Yes, i did go back in before the 14 day period was over, but they convinced me they fixed there phone, they didn't. I even asked on one of the visits how much it would cost to just pay the phone off so i could get rid of it. $900 was too much for me to afford. On a couple of my subsequent visits a salesperson said that sometimes if a customer is really unhappy they will let them switch phones. I went in this past Monday and was told there was nothing they could do. Somewhere around the fourth visit i went to a corporate store and was told that my phone is so bad they don't even carry it anymore and he doesn't know when the last time they had one was. I asked him how come they said it was great at the licenced retailer and he said it was because they were on a different commission structure and we're probably getting a good incentive to push this phone. I no longer get reception at my home. The guy in the store told me maybe i was in a bad location to which i relief, i never had this problem with the Samsung and my wife doesn't have the issue with her phone. Everyone i talk to says i sounds garbled and they can barely understand me. My conclusion is that i will never set for in a non-corporate store for anything again, and because Verizon was stupid enough to licence this store and their response to my complaints was basically, it's not our problem, i will be leaving Verizon when my two years of cell phone hell are over. I went here with money in my hand to buy a phone. Since I didn't want to modify my plan or buy the bloatware 8000 POS phone they were pushing, I was LITERALLY TOLD THEY DO NOT SELL A PHONE LISTED ON VERIZON'S WEBSITE!!! This dump and the wastes of flesh that work there cost me most of a day in driving, phone calls etc. I actually had to drive to a different store to buy this phone to have it shipped to my house. I depend on my cell phone and its service. I've been struggling with trying to maintain 5G and dealing with a hacker. I have bought a few new iphones in trying to rid myself of this hacker and unfortunately paid cash for at least two, in thinking I would be keeping the phone. I was stuck at the Verizon store this time for a lengthy amount of time with a familiar Spanish voice as the last time this occurred as the system was slow/not working appropriately. I now have a huge bill as opposed to before of $175+ for one person with communication issues, hacking still, and safety issues. I'm really not sure how to rectify this as much time and energy have been lost with many routes seemingly unavailable or time consuming with familiar voices/road blocks. read more

Walked into the store with two friends who had business to be done. Was asked to wait and we would be attended to. Stood around for 20 mins while two customers were being helped and the third rep was scanning inventory. After 20 mins another family walked in and they were attended to immediately, like we were invisible. So we just left without anyone even talking to us on our way out. Take your business elsewhere, as they don't seem to care. Didn't know taking inventory was more important than new customers. read more

I walked in yesterday to shop for a new phone but was completely ignored. Five employees were in the store, each at a table with a customer, with two of them helping one customer. Their desks were sort of in a circle around the perimeter of the store. I stood in the center of the store for 10 minutes, and not once in that time did anyone say anything to me or even acknowledge I was there. Ya know, we'll be with you soon or we're very busy, could you make an appointment or come back later? Then, a man walked into the store, and one of the employees on the 2-man team that was helping a customer, jumped up to greet the guy, chat for a second, then go into the back and bring something out for the guy. The man left and the employee sat back down at his desk, without a word to me or even glancing my way. At that point I left, obviously, and headed to the Rochester store. read more

The price was not the same, it was $150 cheaper online. Not only that, the store told me it would be 1-2 weeks before they received the phone. Amazing experience. I was skeptical since this turned out to be an authorized dealer, but things couldn't have gone better. I needed help setting up my new phone, which I had purchased elsewhere, and Mike was incredibly patient and helpful. There were only 2 employees in the store, and they were flooded with close to 10 customers within an hour of opening. The reps were able to multitask and effectively assist more than one customer at a time. There was no financial incentive to help me and I could easily have been turned away, ignored, or received crappy service. Instead I left with my new phone completely set up and my old phone boxed up and ready to ship back to Verizon. read more

Keeping this short and sweet. Drove to this location with my wife, in the dark cold and rain. Get there a couple of minutes after 8pm, and the a hole there on Tuesday night sees us coming up, shuts off the light, and as soon as we walk in says "We're closed for training." Just like that. Closing time is 9pm. But just like that, they see an Asian couple walking up on a slow night and decide, this is the time we are deciding to close. I recently purchased a smart phone at this location. I clearly indicated to the sales person that I was not interested in purchasing insurance for the phone. The customer agreement section related to insurance was blank as expected. Apparently the sales person ordered insurance anyway which I wasn't aware of until charges started appearing on my credit card. After spending hours making numerous phone calls I was able to get it cancelled. However, the insurance company would not give me a refund for retroactive charges back to the date of sale. I contacted the Verizon store manager and offered him the opportunity to make things right and provide me with a refund for the amount of unwanted insurance I was charged for. The store has apparently declined that offer as I have not heard back from them. Next time I will take my business elsewhere. UPDATE: Pay no attention to the 3/10 reply indicating that they would contact me. As of 3/14 I have not heard back from them. read more

Beware of fees. Switched carriers, decided to go with Verizon. Once my new phone was setup and ported, I was then presented with a $30.00 per line fee, a fee that is apparently at the discretion of the salesperson. After trying to resolve this issue, I was told by another salesperson that this was supposed to be $20.00 per line and was a Verizon sanctioned fee. Cellular Sales needs to get their story straight. I was also told the fee is not typically disclosed beforehand as it can be a deal breaker for many customers. Reached out to my salesperson, no return call. Reached out to another salesperson, asking for assistance in resolving my issue, no return call. Called Cellular Sales corporate and asked to be put in touch with the GM, no return call. Once they got you, they got you. Please visit an official Verizon store, where fees are either non-existent or disclosed beforehand. read more

Pretty annoyed that I am there to spend several thousand dollars in sales. And need to discuss contracts , figures,pricing,and have both core and customer service on the line, all while other associates are flying drones over my head and playing bean bag toss games. At one point, I said to the entire stage, we are trying to spend a couple thousand dollars here, take your toys outside so I can concentrate . Wasn't well received and the rest of the associates huddled behind a deck enjoying cat videos, while our associate had no idea how to properly credit account balances. Being in the store was supposed to give answers, and it left me questioning the professionalism, competency and drive of the employees. I would never go here again. read more

Beware of this non-corporate seller! Buy online instead! Matt Smith sold us two new phones and blatantly misrepresented an optional "set up fee" of $45 dollars per phone as Verizon's standard activation fee, so were charged twice for activation. He didn't even set up one of the phones because their wifi was too slow. In addition he signed us both up for a $17/month protection plan we never discussed and never wanted. The sales team here are scammers and their accessories are far over priced. read more

These guys are not helpful at all. Walked in on two separate occasions pretty much trying to buy a new phone. Anyone with a brain and a few ounces of salespersonship could have closed me, but these guys pretty much just sit there and don't care whether you buy or not. No suggestions, no "here, let me see if I can help you solve your problem," no "come check out the new iPhone," nothing. If they had people in there who wanted to write business, it probably wouldn't be so dead all the time (at least every time I've been there). The place at the Maine mall is great, and upon walking in there and talking to Chris I had a new phone, new line, all set. Just go there. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The guy that helped me was decent but when I ordered my phone it was entered wrong, I got a shipping notification that let me know my phone had arrived. When I got there, they had no idea it had been there for hours and they were supposed to call me upon arrival. Second, the guy that "set my phone up" never mentioned they charge you $45 to do so, which means they push recover my iCloud for $45. When I called to ask the manager some questions about that charge, I was told there is no manager by some rude kid that was clearly trying to blow me off. He eventually told me the regional manager would contact me, that was over two weeks ago, still no contact. I will absolutely never go there again, nor would I suggest anyone else does. read more

As a customer of Sprint for 13 years I was excited to start switching my family one by one as their contracts came up. Our first 3 experiences were great which is what brought me in when my husbands contract was up. The poor customer service we received when there was an issue with the newest device completely negated the three positive experiences we had. One of the selling points with the phone my husband got was that it is waterproof. Our sales rep even went so far as to show us an underwater video that was taken using the Sony Xperia Z3, the exact model my husband was getting. We were given instruction on how to securely close the ports before the phone was in water. Of course this is a feature my husband wanted to test on his own which he did 8 days after purchasing this phone. Well wouldn't you know, even with all the ports secure and all instructions followed he now has a phone that doesn't work. When he brought the phone back the following day he was told "well you really shouldn't bring it in water and doing so is at your own risk". Then he was told that it wouldn't be covered under the manufacturer warranty because there was water damage....on a waterproof phone. Oh, and the insurance we purchased might not cover it either because there was water damage...on a waterproof phone. We were still in the 14 day return period so I tried to return the phone. But guess what? They won't take it back because yep...it has water damage. So let me see, we purchase a waterproof phone based on a salespersons representation of the features. When I returned to the store to speak with a manager I was told "we're all managers". Well if you're all managers and there's no Head Goon I would say you're not really managers at all, you're all simply employees. Thanks for all the fabulous customer service (sarcasm). I've now had to spend $149 for the deductible to replace my 9 day old phone which I'm certain will not be exchanged for a brand new phone. Perhaps this store should reexamine what their sales reps are telling their customers or they should be prepared to back up their word and take care of a customer. I will never step foot in this store again. Please be very aware that this is an authorized Verizon retailer, not a corporate store. So when you call Verizon to complain, there is little they'll be able to do to help you out. read more

Buyer Beware. This store sells for over retail price. The store manager doesn't have a business card, nor do any of the staff. The sales rep Andrew spoke extremely condescending when I returned my product after finding out the corporate store had the same phone for $200.00 dollars off. The staff told me I had two options, "quit my bitching because I didn't do my research, or to be quiet so he could initiate a return, or else he would kick me out of the store. I let this sales rep know that I would not put up with his talking down to me, and that I would not let him intimidate me. The rep had never processed an out right sale, or done a return and made the process as painful as it could be. Additionally they kept my sim card, which turned out to be non-existent when I called back the next day. The refund was issued as a check, and the whole process was shady. This store is an embarrassment, and as a reflection of the Verizon brand I think it will be important to note a formal complaint will be written with the BBB, and Verizon Corporate. read more

If I could have given them no stars I would have. I bought a phone from their Portland, ME location. Once I got my iPhone 5 back to the hotel I noticed it had downloads in it already from iTunes. I didn't have time to return it before going home but I called Verizon wireless to be reassured I would not be charged a restocking fee. Once home in Nh I was informed at my local Verizon wireless store that they could do nothing as I had upgraded through a "authorized retailer" I had to drive 1hr and 30 minutes to the Dover, NH location and once I got there Derrick Brown was the rep I spoke with. He flat out claimed he could do nothing about the restocking fee, his manager then said he could get it as low as $35 and then when they called their regional manager the fee went back to $70. They never refunded me the $10+ in taxes I paid when I purchased it in ME, and when I called Verizon was informed the restocking fee was only supposed to be $35 to begin with. Upon reviewing my receipt they had charged me for 2 restocking fee's. These guys also sold me on a insurance plan not endorsed by Verizon for 10.99 a month with a deductibles of $199. They never informed me of the deductible tho and never informed me about my choices for the iPhone or the different choices in memory. They didn't even have a iPhone to exchange mine with! This company is out for your money only and are bringi g down Verizon with their poor business model. read more

I went here for a case and it was probably some of the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I only needed a case and the guy insisted on logging into my account to see if I was eligible for a discount and I assured him I wasn't, but he insisted. His first question was if it was under my parents (I'm 25 years old). Next question, oh did you and your husband go get your new phone? No, I got it myself. I am capable of purchasing a phone. I didn't know my log in info as I had just changed it that morning and it was on my old phone I didn't have with me so he eventually gave up and let me look at cases. That was an experience in and of itself. Him and some other sales guy started taking them off the wall and making a pile of cases they said were "pretty" and they asked if I wanted pink. They assumed because I was a woman I'd want flowers and pink and polka dots. I was really offended and irritated so I left without one, but before I could get out the door they tried to sell me on their tempered glass and wireless charger when all I wanted was a CASE. read more

Do not frequent this outlet! You've been warned. DO NOT PURCHASE THE MI-FI (portable wi-fi). The presentation was to get me to sign a 2 year contract. The price I was quoted (20 dollars monthly) had nothing to do with what I was billed. In order to simply use the product I'd pay twice what I was quoted. My bill went from 29 dollars (flip-phone) to 70 dollars by using the MI-FI (500 megabytes limit) on a weekend basis. The MI-FI also has "dead spots other" Verizon products don't have. You are much better served at utilizing other Wi-Fi outlets, and putting your money back in your pocket. When I complained of the price and attempted to speak to the "general manager " I was refused. In other words the sales associates can quote whatever prices they can, to get you into a contract and will not be held culpable for the distorted prices. I am paying monthly for a product I don't use. Terrible customer service, bereft of ethics. Incidentally have you are charged "activation fees" (bend-over), give them 42 dollars. We, the consumer are foolish to allow Verizon to rob us of additional money to pay for a more expensive upgrade. I can't believe I was this stupid. My only recourse is to pay to buy-out of the contract (172 dollars, bend-over again). I'm soon to become an ex-Verizon customer. read more
