I needed to replace the battery in my iPhone, which they did in less than one hour. The price was reasonable, but I keep getting notification that the battery isn't a genuine Apple battery, and I knew to restart to configure it. I can't get rid of the message, and the store wasn't helpful at all. Hopefully, there are no problems, but I will have to put up with the annoying message. They store associates should tell customers that the battery isn't a genuine Apple battery, and that you will get this annoying message. If they had told me that I wouldn't have torn the battery from them. Based on this experience I'm not sure I will go back there, as I have purchased many batteries from them over the years. read more

Dan and the staff at Batteries Plus Bulbs are wonderful. My husband and I were having trouble figuring out why we weren't able to match the color in some halogen bulbs that came in a specialty lighting system we have in our house. Our own electrician couldn't tell us why what seemed to be the same bulbs had a pink cast to them while the bulbs he used for the install where perfectly white. As it turns out Dan figured out that the CRI, although not listed on any of the packaging, was the difference between the bulbs and he was able to find us bulbs with the right CRI. Throughout our three trips to the store while we were figuring this out, the staff at Batteries Plus Bulbs couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I brought my iPad in because the battery wasn't charging anymore. Jason took it and diagnosed a bad charging port. So they replaced the batteries (they called for my permission before they went ahead and did it.) and the charging port. All in the same day. When I brought the iPad in, my digital keyboard wasn't working completely (I couldn't use most vowels) and some of the touch screen didn't work. They fixed this as well. When I got it home, the iPad wouldn't find networks. I took it back to them and they fixed it again. These guys are A1 in my book. More than pleased and happy to recommend them to anyone... Don't go! If you're looking to get your phone screen replaced go somewhere else. My screen was shattered to the point where I couldn't even use it. After they fixed it (about a week later) they didn't tell me that the camera was also shattered and couldn't work, so I had to pay an extra $90 to get it shipped off somewhere to get it replaced. When I had gotten the phone (after another two weeks) back they didn't replace the camera because I could still see the cracks in it on the back camera. The touchscreen does not work well and it stops working completely about 20 times a day which means I have to spend a lot of the time factory resetting my phone. I recently purchased a battery here for my Mazda CX-5 and had them install it. The staff was friendly and the battery was a great value. However, two days after the purchase the car wouldn't start and had to be jumped. Later that day I experienced electrical problems with the car while driving on the highway. After having the car checked out by a mechanic, it was determined that one of the battery cable clamps was loose and consequently losing connection. So if you buy a battery from them and have them install it, make sure the cables are adequately tightened! read more

They offered to fix it for almost $90 and the place that solved my issue did it for $45 and it took them ten minutes. Do NOT get your screen replaced here. We had my son's iPad screen replaced here at the end of December. The home button was crooked and broken (set in), the screen was flashing and wasn't recognizing commands properly, and the edges were gouged. Since we live far away, we couldn't get to the store until yesterday. Right before, my son picked it up and the screen broke on it's own. When I explained the issues (twice) a sales associate brought it into the backroom to the manager. I heard laughing while discussing and when they came towards me, said they could replace the screen again for $85 (we paid $110). They started laughing again and asked why I had waited 3 months (actually just over 2). They told me that the unit was warped so they weren't accountable for anything. This seems to be a common excuse in reviews. I just wanted my money back so I could go elsewhere. read more

In all the times I have come there have only been two employees working and they give direct assistance which reduces the amount of time searching for what specific item you need to almost nothing. I assume that if you had to wait for someone there would be quite a wait but once you have someone helping they do well. Brought a 2 month old iPhone 6 with a cracked screen to the Portsmouth, NH store. They replaced screen. After a few hours use, the phone began to freeze. Brought phone back. Replaced screen again with same result. Went to Apple Care and I learned that the screen interface was the problem. Apple Care also told me they would not honor the warranty, nor would they work on the phone as somebody else had done prior work (Batteries Plus). We were never told by Batteries Plus that if they worked on iPhone, all Apple warranties would be void AND Apple would not work on phone. So after several attempts by Batteries Plus to repair phone, as they supposedly have a 6 month warranty, the phone continued to freeze. We asked for our money back. Jay, the owner of Batterirs Plus offered no relief, nor did he take any responsibility in that the problem, in all likelihood, was caused by them. We were forced to buy another iPhone at Verizon. Batteries Plus Portsmouth does not honor their warranties. I don't blame Jason and Dan, the technicians. They tried their best and mistakes do happen. I hold the owner, Jay responsible as he refused to honor the warranty. I recommend to him that he advise his employees to tell customers that if they work on an iPhone, all manufacturers warranties will be void AND Apple will not work on phone. What bothered me the most was Jay's attitude in that he felt Batteries Plus did not need to verbally tell customers that if they work on phone, all warranties will be void and that Apple will refuse to work on phone in the event another problem arises. He felt the fine print was good enough. I generally do not write negative reviews. When I do, which is infrequent, I try to be as fair as possible as I know people's livelihoods are important and to be considered. I will continue to buy batteries at Batteries Plus, but not at this location if I can help it. I will go to another franchise owner location. I will definitely never have Batteries Plus work on anything that still has a warranty on it, especially iPhones. Live and learn. read more

Ordered a Duracell cell phone battery. Batteries Plus delivered a RayoVac battery. Duracell has a limited lifetime warranty. RayoVac has a one year warranty. The battery isn't even made by RayoVac. It's made by Ascent, a wholly owned subsidiary of Batteries Plus. I wouldn't trust this place in the future. read more

I will be getting all of my headlight bulbs from here from now on! There was a very nice lady working there this Saturday evening (January 14th), I believe her name was Mariana, and that she was Russian, but I'm not positive (I had poor cell service so I couldn't tell for sure). I had purchased a set of headlight bulbs for my Honda Accord, about five months ago. Unfortunately, a few days ago, one of them had blown out. I called Batteries plus and I was greeted by Mariana. She told me to come in and she would take a look at the bulb. When I got there, she took the time to look up my receipt. Unfortunately, she said that since I had bought them 5 months ago, that they were out of warranty but that she could give me a discount on a new set. I agreed as the discount was very generous. Before I knew it she took a new set off the shelf and opened the package and scanned through the new set, making my new total $0.00! She told me that she wasn't sure if she was allowed to do it, but she would take the risk and talk to the owner later. She gave me the new bulb free of charge, just to make sure I left happy. Thank you Mariana! Taking the risk just to make sure I was happy was unbelievably kind. You not only treated me as a valued customer, but also like a friend! Also, thank you to batteries plus. You have a happy customer and I will come there for all of my lighting needs in the future. You guys are great! read more
